I had a Russian teacher and she was just as in depth as Dmitry is here. She also did the thing where you state something then ‘why do we do this?’, then explains everything. Russians are great teachers.

Snakepham to build 3D shoulders the flexibility position he’s showing will built your 3 d shoulders that’s what my coach makes me do as a bodybuilder didn’t know it was a snatch move meant
Jesus, at the beginning of the vid he says he's not going to give professional information, just beginner stuff. And then he goes on to give SO MUCH information and correct so many problems? Insane. I wonder what the professional info is.
Guys, he does online coaching aswell. He's very professional and helps you understand the lifts step by step, through videos he also gives very good feedback
The best lesson for beginners like me on snatch! Thank you for break down on the each movement so i was able to understand better than ever.. thank you so much for sharing these great technics and I will continue to watch next videos and practice everyday. Much love to you Dmitry Klokov! It's been very helpful like me who don't have teacher
Except in teaching the jump of the clean/snatch if you listen to Russians they slam down as the squat to catch the weight. China teaches the legs to slide out. That would be better on knees don’t you think
It used to be popular in the US back in the Press era (1928-1972). Prior to 1972, the Press, the clean & press was the first contested lift in Weightlifting. It was discontinued by the IWF that same year.
how easy or advisable is it to try yourself olympic lifts? I've been wanting to learn for a while but there's no one available to teach me, do people have experience teaching themselves this? Don't know whether to start by myself or wait until I move somewhere with more teachers...
it's not easy but pretty accessible in usa. which I assume you live. although us wl profesionally has seen better days, finding a good coach is easy. juggernutt, zach telander, many of the team usa lifters ofter coaching.
@@snakepham wow, didn't expect the follow-up, thanks! I practiced Olympic lifts for a while but have since stuck to focussing on squats and deadlift, with occasional snatch grip deads and plenty of front squats. For me oly lift risk/reward ratio is not favourable.
Klokov forgot that you must blow your hair up before the lift aka Naim Suleymanoglu RIP pocket hercules. You could also add the side to side look like Pyros Dimas. These are the things that make a great lifter the GOAT you need character
Very good video and greate work from a powerlifter for the crossfit community! On thing Dmitry could do better is saying "on purpose" instead of "special" ;) Thanks for the video!

Mr Klokov is a time-capsule of Russian weightlifting philosophy, incredible work
Just look those triceps popping out! So crucial to hold the weights overhead besides the deltoids.
I’m going to learn dmitry technique because he is a legend 😊

Soviets and post-soviets are the scientists of weightlifting.
