You have the greatest voice! I love learning from your channel!
Please do a video on the cheapest little towns to live in. Yea...that would be good. Thx!
I think that one is included in this one, towards the end.
Ida-No. Ha ha! I couldn’t resist. Nothing against Idaho! It’s a beautiful state.
Been waiting for this list for years Briggs. Great video , thanks!
I'm trying to figure out where to put my future sticks n bricks home so I'm loving this content. Listening all the way through!!
Thank you for watching.
Yes same here!
Best wishes!
I’m jealous 🥺
! Makes retirement planning seem way more fun and doable. Love these affordable spots!
Do you ever cover states with econmical homesteading/farming property? Property around 1-20 acres with a decent house and well?
I understand your disclaimer but the cheapest home listed in Emmett currently $304,900.00 1028 square ft. 2BR/1BA.
Bellingham, WA used to have a Taco Johns. That place was awesome.
Yes!
Taco John's on the SE corner of Wellesley and Nevada. You figure out the Municipality.
You are killing it, Briggs! Fantastic video!
Thank you.
If your videos are years old then the data contained in them is no longer accurate. I'm seeing this trend of RUclipsrs doing these "rerun" compilations and quite frankly I'm not a fan.
your content is awesome
Thank you
Yes, I’d be curious to see the cheapest places to live in blue states as a comparison.

You did great job about South Dakota
Sturgis
Huron
Yankton
Brookings
Mitchell
Belle Fourche
Aberdeen
Madison
Cost living and crime rates are ok. If you have a job, you will love it .Good place if you have family to raise and retire. If you are single, it seems boring, especially the wintertime. Please don't compare to any big cities when you are planning to relocate there. They are small, quiet communities . If you want big cities, Sioux Falls and Rapid City will be best for you at SD.
I moved here until now I like it.
Great video as usual!
As someone who frequents Fresno... It has it's bad areas but Modesto is worse. It's smaller and theres less to do . There's things to do in Fresno, and high end neighborhoods.
Fantastic videos by briggs
Orting WA..... there's one road out of that valley, and it will only take the lahar 7min from the top of Mt Ranier when it goes. Nope.
❤ ya Briggs ! Always awesome content!
Appreciate it!
Hey you forgot Slab City, it’s pretty cheap there🤪
Pause 😂 you’re hilarious btw. Love your videos. Thank you!
Thank you!! 😁
Lookin good, Briggs! Like the fade ❤
Briggs, always love your informative broadcasts; however, could you please breakdown these marathon sessions into 20 minutes of less timeframes?
my Dad: travel tips of the gulf coast . wait for the break in tropical surges(pre hurricane before fronts continually role in) Price drops dramatically. If you don't mind debris of downed trees and a messy beach. Pont Clear, Al. is affordable! coastal towns of Alabama are not as 3rd world feeling as well! Thx Dad!
Vermillion is a shade of red. I noticed in your pictures there were a lot of red brick buildings, maybe that's why the town was named Vermillion.
I think you really hit the nail on the head with this one
Hey Pavorotti 😃 I just found your channel, so glad I did Wow you are very smart and articulate I'm hooked😲😀 finally someone that makes sense and not alone of wild speculationsacd c.t.'s thank you so much and hugs from Oklahoma 🫡🤠😬🇺🇸👍
6 months $180 LTVA winter car camping in the West desert in AZ.
I’m glad Tupelo made the video. I’ve spent a bit of time there; it’s a very nice small town. They’ve done a good job with the downtown area.
Having visited Idaho many many times over the yrs to visit my father i have found that there isnt much of Southern Idaho that floats my boat at all....Dont like the Boise area at all as its just another metro area i have had my fill of living in one....The rest of the southern part of the state is not much more than high desert community...BUT !!! Get halfway up the state and beyond , I LOVE IT !!! In fact its my favorite state to visit at that point...Big fan of Salmon Idaho...Its affordable, has everything you need, and far from anything heavily populated....
Used to live in Mullan, Idaho. Beautiful
The Idaho panhandle is a vacation community for Spokane :)
Can you do the best popular big cities to move to
Thanks Briggs, looking to get out of where Im at, and I’ve started to do a process of elimination. Taking all the videos and making my own top 10-5-then 3. You had a lot to do with it and your making my finding my final stage in life, Town, State a whole lot easier! I want Healthcare, and I want my picture window filled with such beauty, that I care less about what’s on TV! I’ll let you know what I decide.
Blue states/cities with affordable housing would be a helpful video. thanks.
New Mexico. Plenty of cheap blue cities (e.g. Detroit).
That doesn’t exist. Sorry.
Memphis
I’m not sure if you’ve gotten the latest message. But I’m finding my old favorite channel here seems to have a deep red underbelly. At least that’s what his fans will have you believe. Unfortunately they don’t realize that the poorer the state, the redder they are. Or the redder they are, the poorer the state. Hence:
Alabama
Arkansas
Mississippi
Tennessee
West Virginia
Alaska
Kentucky
If you’re looking for affordable and blue look for smaller towns outside of bigger cities within a blue state. The bigger cities in blue that have the education systems to support a financial infrastructure because those markets can then afford to pay their employees.
Simply - look for states with highest rankings for education (they’ll be in blue states) and find smaller towns around their safer cities. Good luck! I think im going back to Pittsburgh. ✌🏻🖤💛🖤💛🖤❤️💙💛
@@LuvLuke954Loser! enjoy your kids struggling with their identity and high taxation with lots of crime. Unfortunately blue or red both have their faults, but i would rather not live somewhere my kid gets fed information about changing their sex at such a young age. Also, Florida, Georgia, Texas were all red (and still are) before the libs filled it up.
Enjoying these videos, searching and dreaming of that home for me and my daughter. Seems difficult to find the safe, cheep, nice place with nice weather in the sticks but not so rural you are accessible to Wi-Fi and stores and health care . 😂 until then will suffer lake affect snow and sunless days
Have you ever done a ‘top quietest places to live?’
Not yet
🎉
I grew up in Price Utah, about 1 hour from Provo. You should have put that on too.
thanks
I’m super curious where you’re getting the house price averages… we follow along with your video and Zillow and everywhere you mentioned was expensive. What are we missing?
Woah Briggs you have hair! Lol (referring that you let it grow out)
I do. I always had it short for Jui Jitsu. Stop training that about 3 years ago, so no need to keep it shaved.
@@WorldAccordingToBriggs I noticed you had new hair. Of course, I know you shave it, but I'll think you'll surprise some folks. I'm waiting on the manbun. 🤣😋🤸
No man bun for this old dude.
@@WorldAccordingToBriggs Do it if you're cool! 😂❤️
Thank you. These videos about inexpensive, fictional places in America are always fun to fantasize about. Maybe in an alternate universe, I could live in one of these places.
No kidding. Ain’t nothing free or inexpensive anymore.
Love Northport. My Dad lives there😊
I know you can’t include everything but there are so many more and better towns in Northern California that you could have listed!!
Living in Tennessee.
Retired but have to work!!
Want to move!
Don't like extreme weather.
Have allergies ... mold, dust.
Please ...
What about a video mix of ...
air quality
water quality
walkability
great produce
homelessness rate
unemployment rate
public transportation government programs
public libraries
colleges
culture like baseball, balet, museums!
?????
😊 Thanks for your help!
Oklahoma has lots of wind turbine farms “wind farms”. They have them in the rural areas and on the outskirts of the cities.
please do a video on cheap place to live in Tennessee. I am looking for a cheap place to live and to retire and open a shop building classic cars and trucks. i just found your channel and your content is awesome and very informative and down to earth.
I live in Tennessee and Cookeville is the cheapest city by far.
In Arkansas, you only mentioned the cities on the west side pretty much. Clinton is smallish but has a lot to offer, Greenbriar is great and is right outside of Conway which is a college town so there's a lot more there.
How about SAND POINT IDAHO???
Thinking about buying land and a trailer which is the best place
I lived in Fl for a long time Brevard county beach side it just got too damn crowded the small town surf vibe lost. I sold and moved to the Ozarks, i miss surfing but thats about it.
😊I live in a cheap little village but in Hawaii. Not gonna say where.
Oh that will be Hilo. You must like the rain a lot and the crime which is a little higher hence why it’s cheaper and the possible volcanic activity that can wipe your house out there. That’s why it’s cheap.
That will be Hilo, you must enjoy the Rain 🌧️ 😂
Briggs, Tavares is pronounced Ta-VAH-rez. The middle syllable is like "open your mouth and say ahhhh"
Love idaho...
i like it
Chubbuck has had prices rise since 2018 now your looking at 280,000+
omg unexpected face reveal!
Is the Idaho information current? Can't believe it
Pre covid prices of very little value.
So in other words, to cut two hours down to two minutes, this is coverage of all the podunk towns across the country that are cheap to live in, and at the same time, you probably don't want to live there, you know, if you want to experience life as opposed to just existence. And after awhile, as it won't take long, everyone will know your business.
Exactly. They are cheap because most people don’t want to live in them.
I prefer more balanced states, people seem more tolerant of each other. But if its more one than another, I would prefer more red than blue, STILL a video for comparison and for learning purposes would be awesome.
I am looking for a place to rent for a year for my daughter and I, while we look for a place to buy.
In addition to the median income (too low it's difficult to run a business, too high, I just can't afford, once I can afford 1.5mil we are going home to Oahu) we look at internet service, demographics, climate and elevation. These videos are great to guide us in different directions and spark ideas.
"You did very well, the video is really interesting."
Theres a reason places are cheaper - texas is real affordable, but i just cant do that heat and insects
Dude! Ammon Id median price has more than doubled since you did the video.
Correct. Most the US has seen a 40 to 60% increase.
I would like to see an affordable Democrat states list, maybe even individual cities/small towns.
There aren't any.
47:36
I'm Black American and I think Idaho, Utah, Wyoming, Montana, The Dakotas are truly beautiful states. They are conservative states and nice
I like how you just show some random side street that may or may not even be in the area you're talking about. People should treat this as a podcast and not even look at the video.
wow
Keep the hair Briggs
If I'm not mistaken all of the cities on the list were in Idaho.
Love the blue states if you want to put the effort in
What is that on your head? Brian Urlacher!
I’m going on a date with a female comedian tomorrow, Briggs, wish me luck
And if YOU wanna make HER laugh, let her watch you take a leak.
Good luck.
Briggs is growing hair.
The correct phrase is "break a leg", not good luck. Show business, baby.
You’ll regret it later! lol
That’s a lot of places and 2 hours. I know the longer videos are paying well but damn. 😂
You should really chapter your videos!!!, specifically really long ones like this one
strange static noise coming from mic
Thanks for the jokes!!!!
GO BROWNS!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Default comment.
Go Browns!!!!!
Lifelong Browns fan (62yrs), until Watson. Never again.😥
Thanks, Mr. B. Still waiting for "The Best Blue States" to retire.
I usually love your videos and I'm a longtime fan/subscriber but, doing these compilation videos with some 6 yrs-old videos in it (specially knowing that a pandemic and an inflation crisis make those 6 yrs old videos look like relics from another century), nowadays completely outdated, innacurate ones... just to have another cash-bait... it's not OK...
Do cities with the most 30 year olds, that are single!
Living near the border in TX is not a good idea with an open border. Try watching real news and see what is going on down there. People are waking up and finding people who have broken into their homes while they are asleep. Plus, children can't go outside on their own property without an adult who is carrying a weapon. I live just north of Austin. I moved here seven years ago. I came from Southern California where I lived for fifty-five years.
The problem with these videos is that they were uploaded 5 plus years ago for the most part. The real estate prices are going to be way off by now compared to what they are in the videos because of the amount of inflation over that period of time.
I was thinking the same thing.
But say everything roughly doubled in price. 100K home is now 200K, 300K home now 600K, etc. These places should still be cheaper. Trying to say take some place expensive, a home is now 600K, say one of these cheap places a home is 200K for example. Sure they used to have 100K homes but 200K is still very cheap comparatively speaking.
@@jhileman well that's true, it wouldn't take much for him to put an overlay of the current pricing much like he did with the year it was uploaded.
Their are tons and tons of small towns that people can afford to live in, but for some reason people want to move to big cities and when they get there they are shocked about how much it costs and the crime! And young people think they should make 150 thousand right out of school! 🤨🙄
Biden says get yourself a tent and move to New York 😂😂😂😂😂😂 it's great and Americans pay for f it all😂😂😂😂
The struggling potatoes need these, really cheap
Briggs…there’s a fungus or something growing on your head. This is not right. 🤣
Four years later… Florida is not affordable. 😢
❤❤❤😮😮😮😊😊😊 Briggs Great
All Idaho??? You should change the title.
Keep playing the video... u may be surprised
Dang...2hours.....
Why don't you tell him how much the wages are in these places?
What do you consider a cheap place to live?
Colusa county Cal is way more affordable to live than Mendocino ca where I just moved from, rent ,food,gas- people drive slower too which I like- the foods grown here too so the farmers market is bomb
Taxes, housing, and cost of living are just as important as medical assistance w/it's costs.
Retirement isn't about throwing away our money.
Conservatives are leaving California for Utah, Idaho, Arizona, Texas, Nevada.
Youngstown sheriff sales. Bargain
Prices are no longer anywhere near realistic.
Don't start a family in Idaho. Their new and very narrow reproduction laws have sent OB/GYN doctors looking elsewhere. Hospitals have closed statewide. Nice state if you don't need medical generally.
You talked about a town that the locals love, didn't you tell them that in America its against the law to say good things about the town you live in?
Noticed that a lot of RUclipsrs are posting exceptionally long videos; does the algorithm rewards this.
Not cheap anymore...unless you want to live in some of the most crime ridden areas.
Your average on Idaho is so wrong. I live here, and in 2024, the homes to buy are going for $300,000. The schools suck in most areas, minimum wage is $7.35 and employers won't give you full-time and insurance is expensive. Lots of drugs and crime in most areas. Not much to do that doesn't cost a bunch of money. A lot of bars and morman and jehovah witness churches. Rentals are by the month with no regulation on how much and how often the landlord can raise your rent. He can do it every month, every 6 or however often he wants to for any amount that he wants unless you rent through someone who's willing to lease for a year. And not raise the rent. So really you'd be better off moving somewhere else.
I think the videos are just old and the prices haven't been updated since the current housing boom.
I live in Montana and the Californians moving to MT are not conservative and these Californians are not even attempting to assimilate. Please keep them in California
Over the last 10 years Montana has become more Conservative/Republican. Meaning there have been fewer left leaning votes for mid term and presidential elections. The only city that has seen any sort of shift is Billings and it has been a change of 1.2% since the 2016 election
Most of them are. This is why California gets more liberal as conservative Californians leave. Unless you are talking about Missoula, but that is just liberals attracting liberals.
@@WorldAccordingToBriggs Numbers and math. Hard facts beat anecdotes.
I can buy it in my country somaliland ❤🎉
