Pele didn't get 1000 goals, the 1000 goals include unofficial friendlies, tour games and goals he scored in the army, we don't count those for other players so why do we include them for him? In official games which we use for every other player in the history of football ever he scored 727 goals which is still a remarkable total, if we used the same 'lets count every goal you ever scored in any game at any level' format we use for Pele for other players I bet loads of players would break the 1000 goals mark and it'd show how fake this figure to be.

Yeah would be great if Fifa included a Retro Mode or Classic Mode, or just included classic teams into the game, like NBA 2K. Great teams from each decade dating back back to the 50s would be great. Probs never happen as there's no money in it. But would be a nice feature and add more depth to the offline gameplay.

There was something similar in This is Football back in 2002-2003 sort of time, you could play as 1960s Real Madrid or Man Utd with Best, Law and Charlton etc. Nice to see a bit of fun and creativity return to football games.

Would love more of a focus on older football matches and teams. When football players were often working class heroes, who were hard as nails and represented the pride of even more deeply entrained teams.

I watched Man City at Maine road in the late 60s couple of things not quite right, the ball is a 50s ball they did actually have white balls, the bar at back of the nets holding the net down, never had that, the corner flags were club colours usually, you could pass back to your keeper...

Is this a game mode? Coz they once had something similar in the old consol FIFA games (ps1) where u could play as or against classic teams and the game would be set in the 1940s or 1950s with the grand stands and players looking like they were set in those days
FIFA world cup 98 game had the feature to play old classic matches from previous world cups. It was amazing and they should bring back classic matches from the old div 1/ prem/champions league etc.
This is the journey and it will be just a part of a match at most. You won’t be able to play more than the one game in story mode

There are 30 teams in the NBA, so way easier for 2K to make classic teams. Btw 2k doesn’t have all the classic teams and not even all players like Barkley or Reggie. EA has a much bigger database and it’s way harder to import also classic teams, you want them to delete almost 50% of the database just for historic teams? No thank you

Ha! This is what it was like playing as a child in the 90's in England. Fucking so much mud, it was fucking amazing just sliding through it. My mum getting pissed off, because I was just diving into the mud etc. I miss those days back in my village; shit football, mud, rain, the cold, shin pads, drinking water out of a stream on the way back home. People still don't get it, there's no money in retro career mode even tho I would love this. EA is all about paid to win unfortunately and people are falling for it.
FIFA should really come out with a game mode where you can play with each 'big clubs' past squads. For example, how cool would it be to play with 2007-2008 Man Utd and play against todays Barcelona? How cool would it be to use 2005-2006 Barcelona Squad and play against todays Real Madrid? I'm thinking of years where specific clubs just had a 'fantasy' like squad. Arsenal 2004, United 2006-2008, Barcelona 2006-2010, Liverpool 2005-2006, Milan 2006 etc... I really hope EA considers this as it would be a really awesome feature to play with Young Ronaldinho, Kaka, Pirlo, Rooney, Cristiano Ronaldo, R9, Henry, Gerrard etc... again.
It would be a huge money grab for the company. Young kids to people of old would kill to be able to play with squads and players they used to watch. This 1960's match just made me think of it. IF anyone else out there wants this sort of thing to happen, thumbs this up and SHARE this comment on all other FIFA videos!!! Lets make this get noticed by EA and make it something they are forced to implement by popular demand!!
remember creation center in fifa 12 (or something like that)? fans created teams leagues and players and other could download it. EA should put this back to the game and add the opportunity to define an era for the team/league. we could have so many retro teams, this would be absolutely great

They should create and put an old time classic mode, like Volta for example, where you are back in 30s, 60s, 80s and play with teams of that Era. In that background and that camera. They could also put the black and white camera style. This would be the Old School Mode, or something like that. Old styled World Cup and all these small details.
They can also put old teams in the original game. Like they do in NBA 2K games. For example, Barca 99, Napoli1980, Europe's All Star, World XI (fifa 07), Milan 2005, Real Madrid 1956, etc. Just as options to play on Kick Off.

FIFA 2000 had historical emphasis too (classic teams + black and white colored games), so its not like FIFA has never had the idea to do something like this.

This used to be in fifa back in the day. I think it was fifa 2000 for ps1. You could be man utd 1968 vs Liverpool 1984 or summat like that. It wasn't on this scale but it was still fun at the time.
