What a great idea! Everyone has a puzzle with missing pieces 😉. My favorite part was watching you tear off the bottom layer of a flower and get a perfect little flower! I would have never thought of that!!! 🥰
I just happened across your video two years after the fact and really enjoyed your inspiration, thank you. I couldn't help but think how sweet these small embellished puzzle pieces would be added to a name place card on a small table tent for each guest at a wedding. A cute gift for each guest to take home too!💝
Morning Tina, such a lovely video. These little pieces are all little works of art. You went from despair to happiness. They look very fiddly to do, but so worth while. They are gorgeous. Thank you once again, for your hard work in researching different projects for us to watch. I know how much time it must take, but, I believe, everyone really appreciates what you put up for us. See you tomorrow for another wonderful surprise. Stay safe and well. Blessings and hugs. Diana
Thank you so much Diana, and I really appreciate your kindness about the researching different things, sometimes it is tricky to come up with some new fun things for us all. Thank heavens for pinterest!!!! Lol. I hope you've had a lovely weekend, stay safe and well x
I trace out the puzzle piece on my background, cut it out, and glue it on. Much easier on the smaller pieces with a tiny notch. *Side Note: I was involved in a "decorate my puzzle" swap collaboration where I shipped my pieces, one or two at a time to a bunch of artists. They decorated them and sent them back. I ended up with a full puzzle of patchwork artists additions. I did the same for all of them and sent back for their puzzles. It was quite fun, and minimal postage for a swap. We each decided our theme. Mine was "Flower Garden".
Oh what a lovely swap, how cool to have such an eclectic puzzle completed by lots of different artists, very clever too as like you say it is minimal postage x
Hi, Tina, what beautiful things you going to make today!🥰 I’m sure you’ll come up with an idea!😍 Hope you’re having a great day! I’m piddling around more then anything!😁 Just don’t cut yourself!😳Another beautiful ring! Great job, they look nice!👍🏻 it’s actually sunny here!🌞 I just love to watch everything you do!❤️ Aww, your precious daughter I hear!❤️ You’re too hard on yourself!🙄🌹 Very cute!🥰 Hugs!❤️
These are so cute!! When I first saw that giant puzzle piece, vs your much smaller piece I was a little doubtful that you would be able to work with them, but you constantly prove that “where there’s a will there’s a way”!! I think the Pinterest puzzle must have been one of those super-gigantic puzzle pieces that you mentioned! However you were able to make gorgeous pieces from much smaller pieces! Hooray!! The wonders of ModPodge, nail files, paintbrush handles & mini flowers & pearls!!! I think I’ve seen you use really small butterflies from a Martha Stewart punch before, they might work as well!! Another winner!
Good Morning Tina 🌞.... I really enjoy this series and your pieces turned out super cute... Your finger looks better... Hope you have a wonderful day and I will see you at our next tea time 🤗
Hi Tina: Love your interpretation. That’s why this series is so enjoyable to watch. You definitely make things your own. The pieces you made are really adorable. I do everything small scale, so these are right up my alley. Thank you for the idea to make danglies. 💜😎
I've been wanting to try this. I bought a puzzle at the dollar store with really big pieces. I'm going to try covering them with gesso and tissue paper and napkins so the edges should tear (hopefully).
I imagine the wooden children's puzzle pieces would be easier to work with. You could probably do a lot more with them and crafters use the board backs to craft with!
Hi Tina, I have done these before. I make jewelry and had decidedly to make puzzle piece pendants, so I painted all the pieces with off white paint first, then mod podged napkin pieces over them. I cut tiny pieces, then sealed with another coat. After they were dry I damped the edges and it was very easy to remove the excess.
But, yours are adorable the way you did them. I also sealed them with a glossy coat of sealer. Sorry about the mistake up there, lol, I didn't mean to do that oops!!!! Hugs, I love this series also, thank you!!!! 😉
Hi Tina, these are so sweet. The smaller pieces will give them a cuter look. You did a beautiful job. Today I've been trying my hand at the chipboard tiles. Not finished yet but they're looking good. Thanks for sharing your work. Hugs.
I made an altered puzzle piece along with you. I needed my glasses too. Tracing around the piece and cutting it out helps, before gluing it on the piece. I still had to use the craft knife to trim the edges. Thanks for the inspiration!
I think the one in the picture is a very large wooden piece, probably especially made, so don’t worry you will make something nice in the end xxx I will watch and see ....... ahh how cute your daughter with her sloth wrapped up tight in a blanket .
Hello everybody! This is a really good idea! My girl has some puzzles without one or two pieces so... 😁😅😅😅 In AliExpress there are some puzzle dies that you can use! And if you wrap a pencil with sand paper it may be easier to sand the "cut-in's"! Kisses 💜🐞🍀💪🌈
Lovely idea - but I have a jigsaw die (Crafters Companion) which I have just tried on a master board and it gives me several good pieces to use straight away. I never would have thought of it without your video -thanks! I really enjoy your chit chat as you work. 🤩
Those are very pretty but a bit fiddly for me for sure. But I like the idea so I’m gonna paint mine with metallic paints then use lace and bling, that kind of thing. These arthritic hands just won’t work like that. But yours are so pretty. Thanks for sharing, Tina. 🥰
Oh thank you so much Molly, yes they were super fiddly for sure. Great idea to paint yours, you could also add a bit of script stamp if you have one, have fun x
Hello Miss Tina! I really love this series! This is a very creative way to draw inspiration from some place else and using different items! Thank you for taking time to find different things to show us!!
Hi Tina, Oh my gosh your daughter sounds so adorable 🥰 I tried these once, we glued 2 pieces together first, then painted them and made them into name tags for a school function. We added a little clip pin on the backs. I like your decorations better, cute enough to hoard. Maybe paint them, then add flowers on top. Guess I’m going to try them again. Great for a children’s journal! Hugs
This is a cute project. I would have put two of the puzzle pieces together and make them bigger that way. Just a thought. Even putting several together to make a bigger shape to work with.
I certainly am enjoying this series. Watching how you try to make something similar has taught me a lot. The only one I have had time to do myself was the butterfly clusters. They were real fun to make. I hope to try more before too long. Thanks for these great ideas.
Oh that's awesome Janine, I am so thrilled that you have made some of the butterfly clusters, and that you are going to try some of the other projects. Have fun x
I love that you take on a variety of projects! I don't have large puzzle pieces on hand, but I enjoyed watching this anyway. Yours turned out so cute, Thank you for sharing.
I'm currently working on puzzle pieces! But mine are much bigger and I'm painting mine, at least for the base layer. But now I'm thinking I might try these little ones. They turned out great!!! TFS Tina 🙂
@@shabbydabbydoodah Ok! We will trade places...you go big and I'll go small and maybe we can compare the pro's and con's of each. I posted in the Facebook group showing the size and kind I'm working on. (FYI: Just getting started on them so they aren't looking like anything yet. But shows the kind of puzzle and bigger size.)
Tina, these turned out wonderful. I did some of the small puzzle pieces in the past but if you get pieces that are larger it is not as hard to do. The larger pieces off more variety of decorating items. Love yours.
I made some of these into paper clips back during Dee Dee Farago's Challenge and I was convinced they were possessed by the devil! LOL! They were so fiddly and attaching the paper clip in a usable manner was a challenge indeed. Yours turned out beautifully! TFS the inspiration!
Oh Gail I love the idea of these as a paperclip, although I can’t imagine how fiddly attaching the paperclip itself would be! Might have to try it though on a day when I am feeling patient, lol x
Thank you for the inspiration! I pulled the picture layer of the puzzle off instead of "Giving them tooth". (while watching this video) It worked out fine and the paper I added made up for the picture I removed. Embellished with buttons, flowers words etc. Thank you for your content!
I love them. I'd definately continue to look for bigger puzzel pieces. I don't think placing the flower in the middle loses the shape of the piece. They are so sweet however you place them !!! I love your idea for the flower centers or maybe tiny pieces of bling. Also I would use nuva drops or the liquid Pearl's in the centers. How about putting some glitter on either the puzzel or edges of the flowers. I think that would be awesome!!
I made some of these when Tracie Fox made her video, and found that they are very addictive. I got puzzles with tiny pieces and some with the large pieces from the thrift store and loved them all. I think now you have made me want to make some more. LOL Yours turned out beautifully.
Love puzzle pieces! I have always painted and stamped on mine as the first time I tried to cover them in paper was a complete disaster. You have done a fantastic job, they are so sweet. I have seen a craft knife with a swivel head that might be perfect for the job so off to the store! Hugs and blessings, :)
Hi Tina, you’re killing me!! 🤣🤣 Now I have to go to the second hand shop to find a puzzle 😄. Yours are so cute!! I went back and saw the comment from Whichcraft do you do for the butterfly clusters. I have watched some of her videos in the past. I used to go on Pinterest all the time. But since I started watching RUclips I don’t go on Pinterest anymore. I may have to now 😀 Hugs 🤗
Lol, sorry! Try and get one with bugger pieces though when you go, haha. Yes I have also watched some of her videos, she has some great ideas. Pinterest is terrible isn’t it? Once you pop on there, you can just get lost for hours! Have fun 🤭🙃 x
The first puzzle piece has kind of a "waistline" so it might be nice to tie a small piece of thread/ribbon/seam binding around the waist and give it just a bit of fabric texture that way. Also, punch a small hole in it to use it as a dangle.
I did something similar to this for a jewelry piece. I agree with Sally Ride's comment, but I also had some round files that are used for jewelry that helps with the little areas you can't get with sandpaper or emery boards. Love this project and I love your channel! 💘
Thank you Carol, I ordered some of the jewellery files and they have just arrived yesterday, I can see them working really well. Thank you so much for your kindness x
Your pieces turned out super cute. I was hesitant to try them previously because I thought cutting the paper to fit the piece would be way too fiddly. Now I see that it might not be too bad. Thank you
Oh thank you so much. I am so pleased that you are feeling like having a go at these now, they are a little fiddly, but I think they can be disguised a little when they don’t go quite right. Have fun x
These are adorable! I would try and put two together to make a bigger piece. But I think she used the JUMBO puzzle pieces. These really turned out so fabulous.
My son I used to buy him huge puzzles they were like four feet across and the puzzle pieces were like perfectly it almost cover a whole page and I love them and I I still don't want to use them because I don't want to get rid of the puzzle it was so cool but that's what you're looking for you might find them in a thrift store
You can buy jigsaw puzzles at charity shops, when/if they ever reopen! I’ve done this in the past but I can’t remember what I did to alter them. There are bigger puzzles. Amazon.....hugs 😊
Yes, it does feel like they are never going to reopen doesn't it? Lot's of ladies have mentioned painting them, which I think would be great and then maybe using a little script stamp. Hope you've had a great day x
Loving these Penterest Series,, the puzzles was my favorite, you did a awesome job with them being so small & fiddling as you would say lol. Excited to see how you will use all these and make a few myself. Thanks for sharing 🥳❣️
You can stick it in your printer and enlarge at the piece and just use different pieces to get the shapes you want but think that would be a good idea it would save you a lot of time and trouble I'm not trying to be critical but I would think it would help I don't know exactly what you have available to use at this moment in time but I would certainly think you'd be able to unlock the pieces as big as her pieces and you could cut it out of cardboard or something or tagboard
I am really loving this Pinterest series. The puzzle pieces are so sweet. Now I will have to find some pieces to transform. Thanks so much for the inspiration. Blessings to you and your family.
So pretty! I have so many puzzle pieces (my best friend texted about a year ago and said I needed to buy some, so I did! I can be led astray so easily!). I tried decorating them, and didn’t like them, so I put them away. Think I’ll dig them out and try again!! Thank you!❤️
Lol, I love that you are led astray so easily......I think a lot of us are easily influenced when it comes to crafting!!! Yes, dig them back out, have fun x
Would it be easier to paint with gesso, dry, mod pod napkin on, dry, decorate etc ? IDK. Looks pretty fiddley but it's interesting and yours are pretty. I'm sure you could find several ways to play with them. TFS🤗
What a great idea! Everyone has a puzzle with missing pieces 😉. My favorite part was watching you tear off the bottom layer of a flower and get a perfect little flower! I would have never thought of that!!! 🥰

This is so satisfying. I would carefully rip the paper downward off the puzzle piece and then sand. They just are lovely!!
These came out very nice! I would have never thought to pull those little flowers apart! Great idea! 😃
Thanks so much! 😊 x
The puzzle pieces are darling. It’s amazing how little they actually are. I love the mulberry flowers.

I love this project! I wonder if you could put two or three puzzle pieces together to make it work for your bigger flowers?
That’s a great idea x
Great idea!
Wonderful idea! I'm definitely trying this.
THAT what I was thinking 🤔🙄🤣!!!
If you did this you'd have to assemble them 1st.
I'd bet that is one of those giant puzzle pieces. Love the Pinterest inspired videos!
Yes in hindsight, I think you're right. She can't have got all that gorgeous stuff on a tiny puzzle piece can she?? Lol x

Even the reverse side of puzzle piece would be lovely! A round jeweler file would perhaps be helpful. TFS, Tina!
Thank you Gladys and for the tip about the jeweler file, I have just ordered one today from Amazon x
Maybe you could wrap a bit of sandpaper around a chopstick or skewer to work in the notches of the puzzle pieces
I love u so much, it makes me happy when u say “well that’s quite lovely isn’t it” and “way too fiddley” lol. These turned out beautiful by the way🥰

Great idea with the dollar store find! My local thrift shops are usually over priced and that would be the better option for me. 😉
That's what I was thinking, Dollar store has a lot of small puzzles with like, 15 pieces or even 20, they are larger and would be a great choice!
These are so cute. TFS
Thank you x
These are stunning Tina. X Catherine 🤗
Thanks so much 😊

Love this series! Here's a tip: if you use a pokey type tool, you can pick off a layer of the top paper of the puzzle piece.
Thank you Kim, also for the tip x

Yes, very sensible using larger puzzle pieces. They are super cute aren’t they? X
These are lovely. Try using a needle file, a very thin file that jewelers use, to remove the paper around the curved edges.
Thank you, I will try and get hold of one x
Thank you again for the suggestion, I have just ordered a little set from Amazon x
They are so adorable!!
We're 2~4 pieces put together & then decorated? Ever use the backside of puzzles? 😍😍they turned out nice.
Great idea for joining them together x
Loving these Penterest Series,, the puzzles was my favorite, you did a awesome job with them being so small & fiddling as you would say lol. Excited to see how you will use all these and make a few myself. Thanks for sharing 🥳❣️
Oh thank you so much April. Yes, I really did find the puzzle pieces super fiddly!!! Lol x
Beautiful! I’m going to have to try this!
I am really loving this Pinterest series. The puzzle pieces are so sweet. Now I will have to find some pieces to transform. Thanks so much for the inspiration. Blessings to you and your family.
Thank you so much MaryAnn, it’s been really fun taking inspiration from Pinterest hasn’t it? I hope you have fun with these, much love to you x
TFS🤗
That’s a great idea, might give it a try, thank you for the suggestion x
I love it !
Thank you x
