Hi paul you ok mate, thanks for the vid to chill out to nice one. Tuff going at the minute paul. Well done to you all in the end saving the blank. All the best from GRIMSBY
Hi Carl a right sod that we drove all that way, expense etc to catch nowt at Chesil 😠 still that’s fishing and at least we finished closer to home in the rain and a fish each. Take care cheers Paul 👍🐠🐠😃
Hi Andrew shame not more fish but we did try our best to catch and ruddy frustrating but we still all enjoyed it and had a laugh which is also part of the reason I go. Take care cheers 👍🐠🐠😃🎣
Hi Paul, sorry we haven't spoke for a bit, just binged watch a load of your episodes, sorry to hear about your issues mate keep smiling. We will have to meet up again soon. Tight lines mate .
Hi Simon thanks for the binge watching and the kind words much appreciated and am still smiling 🙂 be good to have a catch up on a beach and hope all good with you fella take care and tight lines cheers 🍻 👍🎣🎣🎣
Kerry agree as spoke to some guys from Wales who had regularly fished there and not much luck over last 5 trips. I am not going back as the climb over the shingle nearly killed me and not a bite between us 😠 am sticking to my local beaches cheers 👍🤞🐠🐠🐠
Hi Paul. Nice try in in the brocken beach . This time of the year you need very long casting to have any hope of catching enything and you better of near Abots ury or west bexington.
Thanks for the advice and really appreciated. Like every beach I have fished it’s about local advice and research. Aim to get back again in next two months and will definitely give West Bexington a go and hopefully no climbing involved 😂
You are bang on, fishing is about quiet moments out in nature with mates having a laugh. There is always the next time and the big one is always just around the corner of the next trip. Am already thinking of where to fish this weekend and the sport regardless of fish brings me huge joy and happiness cheers 👍👍🐠🐠🎣
Thanks Martin but as you know fishing is all about trying and being out with fishing mates in nature with beautiful scenery and the ever changing sea. Fish are the candles on the iced cake 👍🍺🍺🍺🐠🎣🥷
Great vid Paul , unlucky not Catching at Chesil , but as they say it can be the beach of broken dreams , can also produce some fantastic fishing from what I've heard . I'd love to get myself down there but it's a bit of a jaunt from SE London, but my mate is always saying we gotta get down to fish it . Once again great vid and look forward to the next one 🎣 👍
Hi fellow yep it certainly was a beach of broken dreams, tackle lost, spider crabs and no fish. However always been on my list to go to and the big positive for me was a few days away with my mates having a laugh and taking the mickey. As we all well know that’s fishing and always another time. Cheers and take care Paul 👍👍🎣
Hiya Phil thanks for the support and really tough conditions and lack of fish. Back out again this weekend but probably a solo trip for a change weather allowing. Good luck with the competition at Deal my fingers are crossed for you 🤞🐠🐠🐠🐠🍺
Hi Paul! Where you been? My partner of 9 years is in hospital with a brain tumour so I've not been fishing for some time out of respect for her. I do miss your great content - takes my mind off it. Hope to see you very soon!
Hi Kerry my heart goes out to your partner and you. Am still around but two months ago Helen’s mum who lives with us is 91 fell over bust hip. Hospital then covid. Shenanigans trying to get her in nursing home. Finally sorted then my wife and I got covid. Then I recovered and fell all the way down our stairs. Had to cancel a holiday but am back to work today finally and hopefully fishing this weekend take care Paul
@@SeaFishingWithPaul Sometimes events simply overtake us! One of the saddest months of my life. Get well soon mate hope to meet and fish with you this year. You take care too.
@@kerryfoster1 Hi Kerry life can be a sod and we all have ruddy challenges to get through. Very fickle but fishing gives me some sanity in all the sadness. Be great to meet this year and have a fish and a natter 👍❤️
Good to see you took my advice about the Bagnall bar. I have a couple from when I fished with Tom in the UK last year but I make my own beefed up versions too. What bait clip did you use? I find the bait detaches too often using imps, so I use gemini splashdowns. They hold the hook captive and so you could do your off the ground cast.
Hi Graham, Bagnall bar worked a treat although took me a while to get bits all together. I am using imp bait clips but again as you say bait drops of very easily so cannot cast of the ground. Will change to Gemini splashdown on your advice cheers Paul 👍👍🐠🐠🎣
Happy to help Paul. I also found larger baits detached from imps in flight, again solved by using tbe splashdown. In my opinion, the Bagnall bar is the best distance casting rig that also gives good bait presentation. To compare, try off the ground cast with a pulley and then do same with a bar and you'll get a good idea how much extra distance you get. For me it was about 20% extra
@@iangraham1505 Really appreciate the advice and the Bagnall bar was a revelation and am making some more tomorrow for a trip next weekend, weather allowing and will have a go with the two different rigs for comparison and will probably fish both Abu’s to make the comparison 🤞👍🐠🐠
@@iangraham1505 Hi Ian that means a lot to me as I try and show the reality and don’t go just for that sake of loading up RUclips. I go when I can work allowing and show it as it is on the day. Cheers 👍

@@richardsheldon8403 Morning and yes year not been the best like you we were catching a few fish this time last year. Fishing reports all around my neck of the woods not the best. Hi Alistair a bit of everything as days didn’t go quite to plan. If you like mag reels but prefer your Ambassadeurs, why not fit a mag conversion kit. I've got a 7000c from the 1970's and recently put a mag conversion on that. There's a youtube channel called pimp my reel that has a good video on how to do it.
