I LOVE Terry Pratchett's Discworld and guards guards is one of the best. His books are politically critical, humorous, satirical and in a fantasy setting what more can one ask for... hehe and at least I think you can read them in what ever order...

I liked The Cruel Prince and still have to continue with the serie. that Fairyloot book is beautiful. 😍 My reading is going good I've read Final Girls by Riley Sager last week and I'm now halfway A Court of Mist and Fury. 😃
Oh I 'm a big fan of the diskworld serie ^^ Some characters in this world are really great :D it's not necessary to read them in order (excepted a few of them, but overall, reading them in order is still better cause you will see the characters you've previously followed appeared in the later books and understand the world better that way ^^ It makes me want to read them again (i've read this serie when I was 18-20 yo or something like that first then a few later on) death is one of my fav characters in the serie along with rincewind ^^

Mort is a good choice! I've read it as a standalone in the past so it shouldn't be an issue with picking up out of order. Also 'Death' is not human, nor was he ever human. He's described as as an "anthropomorphised personification of a natural process", which is explored a fair bit in 'Hogfather'.
@@BookRoast if you haven’t read any pratchett before, just be warned it all sounds a bit bonkers at first. You then start to realise it all makes a weird kind of sense. Like an alternative reading of the world we know and believe we understand.
@@BookRoast I highly recommend the Discworld series!!! The world is hilarious and Mort can indeed be read as a stand alone. You both like role playing games, I'm pretty sure you will like these books. All the books are in the same universe and some focus on the same characters. I have fond memories of reading about Rincewind and the Unseen University. Dang I'm old (-X Might reread them at some point this year, good idea (: BTW Pratchett and Gaiman wrote Good omens together, I can't remember if you read it, but this is a great book as well. @@BookRoast He was definitely right in saying it easy to read! I feel like it’s very standard of the contemporary “steamy” romances these days, especially the ones that have any sports involved. Very stereotypical, but it’s amusing at some points. I will say as the series continues it does get more objectifying of both the men and women in the story :/ I will say now as I finish the story, all I can picture is your guys commentary and it definitely heightens the enjoyment 😂 All the well wishes and love to you G! 🖤
