If you're worried about the longevity, do what I do with every game that comes with sheets: laminate a complete set for each possible player. :) You can use a permanent marker to write on them once laminated, then use a damp cloth / a dry-wipe marker to clear off the permanent marker making them re-usable. (I use a permanent marker rather than a dry-wipe marker as I get really fed up accidently brushing against something that I have marked and smudging / removing something I have already put on.
I've played this game through the entire campaign twice on my vacation (once with 2 and once with 4) and had an amazing time with it ;). Take it to the beach or sth, it's great.
I started My Island a couple of nights ago with my husband and stepson. Teenager E won the first two games and was incredibly proud of himself. Then strategy slowly started getting added and he’s come in last ever since. I need to be careful or he will stop playing with us…. I wonder if the roll and build style would fit him better
I love roll and build. I’m not as much of a fan of my city and it’s probably mostly because you can invert the pieces. But yes one episode of roll and build is not enough
Not all games are for everyone, there are plenty of popular games I don't like either, I think this one has a lot of charm, but I'm also coming in as a fan of my city

I usually push off doing that until I get to the end of the pads... Which doesn't usually happen 🙂
This is nice and quick. Getting my husband who is not a gamer was a positive!
It's just so satisfying

Wow, glad you're getting in that many plays :)

Nice :) I really want to play and finish that one already.

What roll and builds could you suggest to someone (me) who wants to buy a good solo roll and write for travel?
Thanks for this, i got the game for Christmas, haven't played it yet but was slightly disappointed with the dice tower review, Chris hated it.
