I live in West Texas and the temperature has been in the triple digits for weeks but nowhere near 122... that is just brutal!
Please take care of yourself and that handsome boy Wynston.😊

I'm inspired to hear the way you let your travel plans stay loose and fluid. I get lost wherever I go (directionally challenged), but I see so many cool things I never would have seen otherwise. I figure if I don't have a destination, I can never really be lost! Thanks for sharing your van life adventures.

Always remember, the sun rises in the east, sets in the west. If you're traveling at high noon, you're on your own! LOL! Also, east/west interstates are even numbered, north/south are odd numbered. Safe and happy travels!🫶

I used to live near Durango! Up in Bayfield in the mountains. And that whole area on the four corners area, is really wonderful. Telluride is one of the most beautiful places ever especially in the fall.

Chasing the weather . That’s the thing to do
Telluride is a beautiful area. Sounds like you’re in for a fun adventure. Amanda can’t wait to see your posts.

Spent time in Greer and Alpine last summer boondocking. Did my laundry and grocery shopping in Eager/Springerville.
Beautiful and the weather was gorgeous, my only complaint was the lack of cell signal over a lot of the area. Hopefully you have better reception.
Safe travels and 🙏 Have fun ❣️

Glad you are checking out camping in New Mexico. I love living here. If you ever come to the International Balloon Fiesta here in Albuquerque every October. I've got plenty of room for visitors and my yard is fenced. Over 500 hot air balloons of every color and shape from all over the world come for the 9 days in October.

We just came back from a vacation in Arizona with my daughter. It was fun but too hot. Had she come 2 weeks earlier, the weather would have been perfect.
Left Williams Az.and drove to Disneyland and the weather here is perfect. Tomorrow I’m heading to Oregon for a Meetup. Then who knows… have fun 🎈🎈🎈meet ya down there road 💞

Sounds like a good plan! I’ve also been laying low because of a drop in income and not traveling much, so I definitely feel you there. Fortunately I can moochdock in my significant other’s driveway indefinitely because she kind of likes having me here. 😊 We’re hoping to at least take some short trips soon once some money catches up to us.

I'm interested in ways to keep a lower budget while traveling. I've considered traveling before the sun comes up on good roads to keep the engine coler in hot areas but I don't know if that really helps. I also get nervous about forest closures and wildfires. But thats the way it goes.

Something I noticed about views in van life community is that the “nickel and dimer” creators get lower views than the ones that only upload once a week on schedule. It seems like that formula grew their channels and they are getting constant views every week. Would you ever try making longer videos to release once a week and see if that increases your views? I first noticed this when Mav was doing truck life and he was dating Hannah Lee Duggan. They were nickel and diming viewers, and their channels were at a standstill. Then I thought they got lazy after the breakup and just uploading once a week. But they started doing longer videos and their channels grew and so did their views. I’ve seen this work for The Fine Print which is now Trent the Traveler, Ryan Twomey, Where is Tiffany, Alyssa Vanilla (except she’s not regular anymore),Sarah Yak, Maddie Taylor (who sold her van & moved to Germany and her videos are remodeling her house she bought), Divine on the Road (she’s not regular either), Tory Delury, Winterisblu, Big Nugget, Travelers Tale, Rosa (who’s not regular as she is hiking PCT now)… etc. There’s more but, you get the idea and I would be here forever listing everyone off. LoL. Mav on his live once said, he rather try to do quality over quantity on video because he doesn’t see himself working for anyone else again after having tasted financial freedom and being able to employ his parents. Trent on his gaming stream also gets asked a lot of van life questions while playing and he chimes in on them and he has a similar attitude. I don’t know who first started it, but a handful of people who tried it are still doing now. It seems less stressful to them worrying trying to put a video together everyday. It might be worth a shot if you’re relying on RUclips income. See how many people watch after not seeing a video for a week. I feel like people will see a video pop up and get excited to see what you’re up to and watch the whole video. Anyway, just a thought since this is probably the third time I’ve noticed you mentioning views are down. I don’t recall you figuring out a solution to help that. 🥺

    • @AdventuringWithAmanda
      @AdventuringWithAmanda  4 месяца назад +1

Nope. I like uploading all the time. In the end, I don't do it for money, views, etc. I do it to share. So I will continue uploading how I do. When I started RUclips, I didn't do it for income. So I will keep plugging away.

If you're brave, it's a beautiful place to visit, & just right up from Durango, but there's also Mesa Verde National Park to the west of Durango without all that mountain driving. And of course New Mexico places around Angel Fire area?
Happy Vaniversary to you and Wynston! 🐾❤️
