JASP 0.18 RELEASED! Data Editing MODE! It's finally here~~~

In this JASP video, I go through the newest major feature in 0.18, released in September 2023: DATA EDITING MODE! How to open data, save data, and link/synchronize data files (.csv) with JASP. There are a few bugs or activity that doesn't seem like it should be normal, at least from my earlier testing with the module.

NOTE: This tutorial uses the new preview/beta build of 0.18. This build contains slightly more functions/features than the previous builds used for tutorials on this channel, but it is functionally the same for the purposes of this tutorial.

Does release have full editor capability same as SPSS? Split , compute, recode, etc etc. Without knowing R?

Yes, you can compute variables, transform them, and use filters to split, all within the program

This was the only main advantage Jamovi had over JASP. Now JASP wins.

It’s a contender for sure, but I still think Jamovi has greater flexibility, so it still has a slight edge for me. It’s data editor is a little better too, currently
