This tutorial is actually amazing for beginners of After Effects! Great job on demonstrating and explaining how you can utilise the program to create some impressive results! I would say to maximise on the potential of your videos, experiment with smooth zooms into the user interface as you are explaining as I think that would be beneficial to the audience. Great stuff. 👍

Personally I would use after effects but it depends on the kind of edit you’re trying to make. If it’s more of a highlight montage like the stuff Ladiff and Cjaiye make and you’re trying to make a lot of them regularly then probably premiere pro but if you’re trying to dedicate more time to it and make an intense edit then probably after effects is a better choice.

Your pc is similar to mine, I have a Ryzen 9 5900x and RTX 3090 so not sure what the problem is. You should expect to wait a little bit, after effects is no where near as smooth as editing with premiere pro for example but shouldn’t be excessive with the specs you have
@@Rocklan ahh okay cos when I load a file I now wait for it to play trhough then go back and edit it But every effect I have to wait for the whole vid to play through before watching it again
That is normal. Try adding an adjustment layer over just a portion of the clip you want to add the effect to and add the effect to the adjustment layer instead and I reckon you will only have to reload the part of the clip that is covered by the adjustment layer. The rest should be unaffected (hopefully). If it does have to reload the whole thing then you may have a problem.
i have seen many videos from ur side for ae tutorials and i love all of them as they have helped me learn ae. It would mean alot if you kinda zoom in to where ur pointer is like when your typing a effect or pressing stuff like you did in 19:47 as it would help to see wht u did in 16:03, because i literally have to get close to the screen to read wht it is and tht sucks T-T

i pressed the [ (left square bracket) to snap the clip to the playhead

How does your after effects run so so well ??
Sometimes I cut out the parts where it buffers so the tutorial flows better but I do also have a pretty good pc
