He listened religiously. You even mentioned him once, but i dont remember which song it was. His name was Adam Peterson, he passed away in march at age 44. Listening to you, i feel closer to him again. Thank you
We just saw Sammy in concert in April 2023. I always loved his music but, never got to see saw him live back in the day. He was in Tucson with Aaron Tippin and Colin Raye! All three were fantastic!! I have been a huge Aaron fan since the first time I saw him live back in 1992! My best friend and I had backstage passes. Aaron signed my jeans at that concert. Fast forward to 2023. I took those same jeans to the concert and Aaron signed them again! Sammy was absolutely amazing as were Aaron and Colin! Check out Sammy's "She's The Queen of My Doublewide Trailer and "Third Rate Romance" and a few more! He is so good! Great reaction!!

Most women don’t think they’re beautiful. Most women can get down with pretty or cute but we have been programmed that Barbie and Hollywood women are beautiful and the girl next door is cute. It took me till my mid 30s before I felt beautiful. No self esteem problem…I knew I was a catch just didn’t know my own appeal. In my 30’s I started to notice that guys may gawk at Hollywood women but kinda like loose women…they don’t want to take those fake hollywood type chicks home to mama. They want the down to earth beautiful without all the makeup girl next door. When women realize they don’t have to compete with Hollywood… it truly is a beautiful thing.

It’s interesting you two raised the lack of self esteem perspective. That’s exactly what this song does for me…temporally raise my self esteem. I come from a maternal line of “beautiful” women and a paternal line of “average looking women.” My mother was a stunner. When I was little I looked just like her. Everything in my genetics said I’d be nice to look at, at the very least. Then I got really sick. And I stayed sick well into my 30s. I’ll spare you the graphic imagery. Suffice it to say, the best compliment I get about my appearance is “you don’t look like death warmed over today.” Guys, I’m in a bit of a bind. I’d love to send you a bribe and song request. But because of the aforementioned life-long illness, I can’t consume alcohol. It would hospitalize me, potentially even kill me. I can’t even use it in recipes. And Ive never been to a bar or seen anyone order anything other than beer. Therefore, I don’t even know where to start with choosing a bourbon.
