    seems like a pretty hard angle for that front drive shaft, can that motor not be dropped a little, for lower center of grav a little?

    I have the D60 SSD with the Wraith extended tubes. I will be using them in another 1/6 Jeep build after I'm done with the build I'm doing with Wraith axles on a 21st Century 1/6 jeep that hides the entire trans, motor and lipos with the Flat head motor that it came with. I used Aluminum for everything from the roll cage to the frame.

    so do you have to remove the bumper each time to get to body off? Iv'e used the SSD Axles and i have to be honest, they hang up really bad, the SCX axles perform much better. The diff housing's are just too big. They look great there's no doubt BUT it's the HUGE diff housings i have an issue with. Another very informative video, thanks

      If you use the through-body setup, then yes. That would be rare though, as the battery mounts from underneath, so the body only has to come off for maintenance, not regular use.

    Where did that body come from? And would it fit the G6 Jeep from Axial?

      +Classics Rule! body from asiatees.com and no, it won't fit the axial.

    I am currently in the middle of gathering the rest of the items I need to put together my Skeleton Jeep and am looking forward to get this up and running. I am planning on using a cut down Axial driveshaft to go between the transmission and T-Case for now but I'm wondering what driveshaft brand and size you would recommend to go from the T-Case out to the SSD axles.

      Hiya, we use the junfac most of the time. There's listings for sizes on the Skeleton chassis pages. I think the junfac number is 90025

    • @GCMRacing1
      @GCMRacing1  8 лет назад

      +Crazzybear1408 with some mounts made up you can use a vaterra bronco, RC4wd D90 body, Tamiya ClodBuster, all fit with the same wheelbase

  • @joe212
    @joe212 8 лет назад +1

    Do you make this kit with links for vaterra axles

    • @GCMRacing1
      @GCMRacing1  8 лет назад

      +Green goblin The SSD kit should be almost exactly the same as the Vaterra link setup. We haven't done the assembly yet, but it all looks just about the same so far.

      +GCMRacing1 - Scale Truck RC in Canada Is there any way to mount a vaterra 2 speed trans in this chassis? I have a Vaterra that Im wanting to change over to the Jeep using this type of frame. I don't want to lose my transmission as it's fully upgraded. I was also thinking about getting one of your two speed transfer cases and running them together
