Reynolds reports in 'Men of Steel' or 'Steel Division' (about 1SS and from where Eugen nicked the name.....??!) that the divisional commander in charge of the ill-fated Wessex Brigade's Villers Bocage debacle, claimed that his leading battlegroups halted at the town owing to the appearance of 2nd Panzer on the battlefield, but reasonably remarked that 'a staff car and two motor cycles' were 'hardly the deployment of a panzer division moving to engagement...' . Reynolds' books on Normandy are some of the absolute best..
LSSAH also had MP44s, which they receive in even larger amounts now. Really weird choice as 2. Panzer was indeed the only division in the Normandy which made heavy use of MP44s, as to create proper ToE-prescribed Sturmgruppen with them. From what I know LSSAH had less MP44s than 2. Panzer, which is weird why that choice was made in game
@@czwarty7878 yeah! not complaining tbh but a bit of nostalgia, also I don't remember how good o r bad the mp44 were back then, just that I loved and still love them
@@TheSOLRRaC they weren't very good honestly haha but yeah that was uniqueness of that division in SD44, you hear 2. Panzer you think vet2 elite Panthers and MP44 Sturmgrenadiere
I think i wouldve taken the stugs in b since you get 8 at double vet instead of the 5 from the panzer 4s and i dont think you need a commander with all the base vet going on you can easily push your units to 3 vet simply using leaders alone
For those that don't know, upvetting recon units gives them better optics.
Yeah wish they would add an exceptional + and ++ to show on upvetted recon
Really enjoy your division preview vids. Keep up the great work.

One can only wonder why no Jagpanzer IV/70 ... That would have been a nice addition.
Looking forward to seeing this Div in action, those Pumas especially are going to be fun to watch going to work.
I feel like the commander isn't really needed for this deck since 90% of your infantry is 2 veterancy. Could get an MG instead of him.
Yeah not a bad shout
Just miss the mp44 from normandy 44 use to like those so much (also I think this was the only div with mp44 back then)

Two in a row. Nice! At this rate you’ll have time to review all of them before the release:)
Thanks for sharing Battlegroup Codes
I love Warno but the SD2 UI is sooooo much better...

why are for the stug 3 G not all sideskirts on it?
this is going to be a fantastic DLC :)
As another ostensibly veteran division, BRO seems to get a bit of a short shrift compared to 2nd Panzer.
