I own the same 2012 model but my bike vibrates after 60Kmph. Is it the same for you ? Also , as soon as I remove hand from accelerator, bike slows down considerably .
For Vibrations, I would say ki Kuch nahi kar sakte bhai... But for bike slowing down soon... You must check the free rotation of Front and rear wheels... Because over the time, the front brake mostly gets stuck in the engaging position hence the problem you're facing...
Market me mil sakta hai... Par mai recommend karunga ki aap Bajaj ke authorised service and spare wale se hi le... 2500 se 3000 ke beech me aayega. Endurance company ka aata hai original

@@theridingavenger Oh is that so? Actually I was stuck between a mileage option of CD 100 SS and the performance option of Discover 125T and needed to seal the deal on one of them. Discover was a good choice but when I started checking issues online, half of the people complained about vibrations and that too at 55-65 kmph which is very low. I already have a perform bike in RX 100 and the vibrations creep in there too at 60-65 kmph.
20W40 is recommended. But last time I used Castrol Synthetic Power 20W50, and the results are absolutely stunning. Smooth clutch and gear shifting and reduced engine vibrations are a few to mention...

Definitely they should... But they won't because they have already launched the Pulsar 125 and 125 split seat editions in India... Although this bike is still being manufactured in India and sold in Columbia, Mexico etc with Discover 125 STR and 150 STR names...

I am not sure about it, since I haven't upgraded my tires to bigger ones... But It might touch the swing arm and tire may get damaged... Please check while installing... Also you might have to cut or remove the mud guard (that protects the shock absorber) because it will definitely touch that too
Take your Discover's swing Arm to the parts shop and match it there with the NS 160 Swing Arm you will get an idea whether it fits or not... By the way, a 110 section tire could be fitted in the ST125 as per my understanding... But still not sure
Sir. My 125T (Both Drum Break) not ST.Already 33972 Kilometer run.While going to check the milage i filled 1 litter in full empty tank. Than after running only 17 kilometer fuel totally consumed & cant start till refill the fuel. Beside this while running in gear from 4 or 5 i was not getting the speed & suddenly stopped in running condition & restart automatically while get off the clutch lever. Engine sound is good & no black smoke from Silencor.. What to do??

Bas karchaa bahut karvati hai Speedo meter damage around 20000 km per aur abheetak around 28000 km chali hogee Bike Sceed bohut hone ka daar rahta hai hameshaa pata nahi Q, I Fill its not stable bike jabh bhee Reth/wet road rahti hai tuaa..... As ruff rider confidense lose rahta hai bhai feesalne ka
1. Honda SP 125 2. Bajaj Pulsar 125 3. Hero Glamour 125 4. Honda Shine 125 These are the bikes you will get under 1 lakh on road. Pulsar 125 has got the most power amongst these while Glamour got the best mileage... So pick according to your preference 😊
Bajaj discontinued discover because it was a rival of bajaj pulsar. Due to which pulsar sales were badly affected. Bajaj discover was awesome and I have 2 bikes model 125T (2013) & 150S (2015) still perfectly running.
Dekhiye short rides to ho jayegi... Par long rides me bohot problems aayegi... Kyuki Indian bikes 5.5 se lekar 5.10 ke height ke liye hi suitable hoti hai... Agar apko apne liye comfortable bike chahiye ho to apko Royal Enfield ki koi bike... Ya Adventure Tourer type ki bike dekhna chahiye... Kyuki unki height zyada hoti hai...
Dono hi bikes acchi hai... Par apki lower body me, particularly legs me pain hoga.... Kyuki apki height zyada hai to apke legs ki length bhi zyada hogi, jiski wajah se apke legs ko zyada fold karna padega... To ek baar kisi pehchaan wale ki bike ko ride karke dekhna... Agar apko comfortable ho to go for it👍🏻
Am also have 125st still it with me good condition only 3 problem i have with its but their is solution to 1. Original back Tyres is to Small so its give poor Ride safty but its can fit 100/90 r 17 Michelin tyres thatbine is superb 2.original Chain sprocket is very poor quality its no existing More than 12000km but IBF Chain sprocket can more than 20000km. 3.vibration is big problem but 50to 55 is best cruise in highway ride their is no vibration but its 13 bhp engine led to as more than 70 km/h its make to vibration but high grade synthetic oil can help its costly but give good riding and engine life. Now my bike turn above 158000 km 2nth engin head and valve change recently

Engine Oil level; condition 3. Air filter condition 4. Air fuel mixture 5. Tappet setting 6. Clutch setting - (Clutch plates condition) 7. And one of the most important thing: the free running of both the wheels.
Am ride my 125st max as below 120 but its to bad stability 65 to 70 is best Ride overall milage ( city+high+street+muddy off road) is 55 but in log highways 50to55km/h am get more than 70+km/liter

Discover 125ST doesn't have any major issues except for "vibrations".

I am not sure about it, since I haven't upgraded my tires to bigger ones... But It might touch the swing arm and tire may get damaged... Please check while installing... Also you might have to cut or remove the mud guard (that protects the shock absorber) because it will definitely touch that too

Take your Discover's swing Arm to the parts shop and match it there with the NS 160 Swing Arm you will get an idea whether it fits or not... By the way, a 110 section tire could be fitted in the ST125 as per my understanding... But still not sure

My 125T (Both Drum Break) not ST.Already 33972 Kilometer run.While going to check the milage i filled 1 litter in full empty tank. Than after running only 17 kilometer fuel totally consumed & cant start till refill the fuel. Beside this while running in gear from 4 or 5 i was not getting the speed & suddenly stopped in running condition & restart automatically while get off the clutch lever.
Engine sound is good & no black smoke from Silencor..
What to do??
I bought it second hand few days ago..
1. Check Valve Tappet setting.
2. Clean the carburettor and set the mixture screw.
3. Clutch plates too might be an issue behind low mileage..

Bajaj discontinued discover because it was a rival of bajaj pulsar. Due to which pulsar sales were badly affected. Bajaj discover was awesome and I have 2 bikes model 125T (2013) & 150S (2015) still perfectly running.

Dekhiye short rides to ho jayegi... Par long rides me bohot problems aayegi... Kyuki Indian bikes 5.5 se lekar 5.10 ke height ke liye hi suitable hoti hai... Agar apko apne liye comfortable bike chahiye ho to apko Royal Enfield ki koi bike... Ya Adventure Tourer type ki bike dekhna chahiye... Kyuki unki height zyada hoti hai...

Dono hi bikes acchi hai... Par apki lower body me, particularly legs me pain hoga.... Kyuki apki height zyada hai to apke legs ki length bhi zyada hogi, jiski wajah se apke legs ko zyada fold karna padega... To ek baar kisi pehchaan wale ki bike ko ride karke dekhna... Agar apko comfortable ho to go for it👍🏻

Am also have 125st still it with me good condition only 3 problem i have with its but their is solution to 1. Original back Tyres is to Small so its give poor Ride safty but its can fit 100/90 r 17 Michelin tyres thatbine is superb
2.original Chain sprocket is very poor quality its no existing More than 12000km but IBF Chain sprocket can more than 20000km.
3.vibration is big problem but 50to 55 is best cruise in highway ride their is no vibration but its 13 bhp engine led to as more than 70 km/h its make to vibration but high grade synthetic oil can help its costly but give good riding and engine life. Now my bike turn above 158000 km 2nth engin head and valve change recently

You must check the following things:
1. Spark plug condition; performance
2. Engine Oil level; condition
3. Air filter condition
4. Air fuel mixture
5. Tappet setting
6. Clutch setting - (Clutch plates condition)
7. And one of the most important thing: the free running of both the wheels.
Am ride my 125st max as below 120 but its to bad stability 65 to 70 is best Ride overall milage ( city+high+street+muddy off road) is 55 but in log highways 50to55km/h am get more than 70+km/liter
