people wonder how track like this can still sound so fresh new and be so in advance of it's time but we should never forget that if technology inspired techno music 25 years ago, technology is only a tool. Ernestus and Von Oswald had neither computers nor plug ins at the time. We need to keep this in mind nowadays when we hear tones of techno tracks that sounds "enormous" but uninspired with 4/4 beats, uniform sound treatment, white noises and time stretching... Inspiration is the key in music.

@@LilaYogini Not sure about present-day equivalents, friend. Check out all the other Basic Channel tracks.....I would recommend the artist Leiras as someone who is producing 90's - sounding minimal techno these days, although it's130bpm stuff.

A great way to experience it: headphones! They do great things with the sounds bouncing back and forth.... I think SHPONGLE may have learned something from them!
