Dejavu...shooters cant shoot, goaltenders can't make saves, no sense of urgency...I dont get it. Next up are injuries and LTIR then one and done in the playoffs. 😂

I wonder what happened to them, they were in contention for the president's trophy having the most points in the league at the time, then they went downhill with the same roster that was playing so well before.... An injury now could help them to circumvent cap space again, but to be honest they should do better with what they have currently.... Playoffs are still a lock and they should do better come playoffs.... A deep run or 1st round exit is both possible depending on the seeding.... It's worrisome that they just don't seem to find ways to turn the table right now, but I'm optimistic that they'll go on a good run again soon.... The quality is definitely there!

@mvpgoldenboy Your guess is as good as mine...I think it's a combination of things that gave them their identity since year 1. They used to play heavy and punished teams to wear them down...they don't hit like they used to. There's no net front presence 99% of the time and rebounds drift harmlessly in the middle of the ice because they rarely are in position to get those rebounds. They also can't score when they get a break away...conversely, Hill and Sammy rarely make saves on those. They relax and give up easy goals late in periods. Our shooters miss open nets so badly that the goalies don't even have to make a save because the shots aren't even on net. I think we have too many spectators on our team waiting for someone else to do something. There's also no sense of urgency when there should be...im not sure how to fix this...its not coaching its the players choking on the regular. If they don't get going its gonna be a blood bath before the trade deadline. They'll find guys that want to play.

@@zakzwilling6157 What I noticed is that the pp has deteriorated and whenever they pull their goalie trying to equalize or just score they pretty much never succeed anymore.... I think it's more of a mental problem as they used to do so good before and then started slacking all of a sudden.... I disagree with you though that the coaching ain't the problem since they're all together in this contributing to wins or to losses as the coach and players said themselves.... What I noticed is that despite being a great coach Bruce Cassidy always starts to sound like a broken record after each of the so many recent losses without apparently being able to address or fix the issue at hand.... I believe him and the team will find a solution, but he should have requested a trade to fix some of the issues in certain areas which are glaring and blatantly obvious!
They used to blow out other teams out of the arena, now they barely score.... I think they could have traded a defenseman for an offensive player, the good thing though is that the playoffs are still far away and there's enough time to make some tweaks while also hoping that they don't sustain any major injuries before the playoffs....
