That is a good looking small SUV. Getting a bit expensive but will last for ever. My sister has a 2009 four cylinder S trim, with 200,000 miles on it. Recently it started eating a little oil, dealer just told her to bring it in for oil change every 3,000 miles instead of 5,000 miles and should last her a while longer. There is a reason these sell in huuugggeee volume.
I ordered one a few months back. Needed something for camping and towing a small tear drop trailer occasional off road, but mostly wanted better mpgs and snowy winters here in Utah. It was between this or the Forester Wilderness. I am an enthusiast tho and afraid the driving experience will be too sedate
I like the black woodland. Black paint on black trim. Looks slick in my opinion. I wish they would do that to one of the trims. Forgive me if they already do. Maybe a limited or something
*great review as always Brian, my only beef with the woodland edtion is you don't get to option the JBL audio system, how is the stock audio system vs JBL , is it really a big difference* ? *the other option is to buy a used non-hybrid Toyota Rav4 Trail with TRD option which came with JBL audio , but Toyota stopped offering it for 2023&2024 in Canada*
Well, it depends on how much you really want the JBL. I wasn’t disappointed with the sound system in this one, but my hearing is a bit of a mess from years of racing cars 😝
I really like this vehicle and was kind of sad to hear that you don't recommend it for city driving. I live in Pittsburgh but I have family and friends about 2 hours out in the rural parts of PA. I thought this would be the perfect vehicle for my use despite the fact that I'll realistically be driving 90% of the time in the city.
Always love your reviews... you get to the POINT instead of a lot of BS fluff--- and I like getting my info from a PRO DRIVER... instead of some ding dong salesman that dont know squat. THIS looks VERY good-- I"m NOT into hybrid at all though-- temp extremes will KILL the battery if they last very long--and I don't LIKE CVT-- but I guess I'll have to adjust- since every maker is using the damn things now.. as as to towing-- I think anyone tht tows with a small car like this is a damn idiot anyway!!
2:31 First time here. Could be the presentation need improvements. (You may need more interesting POVs when describing vehicles, like aerial footage etc. In general, audience would subscribe only if there are impressive secrets/explosive tips offered) Lots of familiar terms used.
Visibility? If I have a windshield- and two good side mirrors, that's all I need. (ex truck driver for many years I rarely if ever use rear view mirror and I NEVER turn to look out other windows.. I just Can't bring myself to like CVTs..... I don't trust them -and most likely won't live long enough to ever get to trust them. Too many of my pro mechanic buddies have said theyr'e trash- no matter what the sales people and consumer reports guys say... I DO like the cloth upholstersy- and the one your'e in now sounds quiet concerning road noise... I don't CARE about the PRIME-- hate hybrid crap. It may be good- but most mechanics don't know how to properly work on them- and they SURE don't know about CVTs.. and batteries go dead with extreme temps a couple years in a row...and at $8,000 or more to replace-- NO THANK You.. WEll, you've mentioned enough that I don't want one. I'd love to have one of these- this year-- but pull all the crap out and put a V-6 in it... like the 2007 through 2012 came with. I think I'll buy one of those-- they run forever.. if I can just find one kept in garage or southern vehicle. V-6 is PLENTY of power for these too.. and get great mpg....
Definitely not a fan of CVTs purely from a dynamics standpoint. It's unnatural, just like using artificial sweetener. It does the job, but something's not quite right about it.
My 13 year old Rav4 has saved me many winters in Canada. This AWD is better than mine and more capable.
I enjoyed the video, the narration, and the critique. Thank you.
Glad you enjoyed it!
That green looks amazing

I have a 2016 with over 200,000... I think I drive to much lol
I have been getting 42 MPG with my Woodland after removing the mud flaps and cross bars! (when not in use)
This is the perfect car camper.

I LOVE MINE
If you we an "enthusiast" you would have purchased the Subaru. Definitely more capable with worst mpg.

Oh color match the trim is what I wished they would do. 😂 glad I read that one back

The JBL that’s comes with Toyota sucks, get it aftermarket yourself.
Too bad the woodland trim isn't available on thw pure ICE version. I like the bronze wheels!
There are so many trims for the RAV4, I wouldn’t be surprised if one is coming just like that!

What did I say about city driving? I don’t remember.
@@BrianMakse You basically said there's probably better options if you're going to be doing most of your driving in the city.
6:46 It’s a not a CVT..it’s an eCVT. Makes similar noise but works completely different.
Please explain how it does the same thing without doing the same thing.
Waooo it's is a nice smart RAV4

I'm here to serve. You could tow smaller things with this quite easily, a Sea Doo or a couple of dirt bikes no problem.
Looks very nice❤
Sounds great ... .could do without the CVT and possibly being a hybrid [ A manual trans or auto Transmission & pure ICE would be nice]
Does it have more legroom and headroom? If not, not interested.
Than what?
My 6ft 2ins friend can get into my 2022 RAV4 Hybrid quite easily. If you’re 7 ft tall perhaps you could buy a huge truck.
I’m 6’2 and am comfy. It also has lumbar support for my bad back

I'm not sure which one to buy...this or CRV Hybrid
We answer ‘this or that’ questions over in the members section. Come on over!
