So true! I wasn‘t paying any attention to this album until a couple of months ago, even though I’ve been listening to her music for years almost every day 🥲

This album was a big slap in the face for me, I'm not into slow music but what a surprise that one of Lana's slowest albums is my favorite, I swear I cried and cry a lot with Honeymoon
"Y'all gonna jump me?" LMAOO I love this whole reaction. If y'all have the time, y'all need to listen to the instrumentals of this album. They're sooo good and you notice so much detail. 24 STANS WE LOVE TO SEE IT
For me honeymoon is her most private album. It's just her and her time being alone watching everything that revolved around her life at that time. It's like her consolidating with her inner intuition and trying to figure out what's best for her life. In short it's like doing honeymoon with your self.
Honeymoon is such an underrated piece of art. One of her most cohesive albums, her vocals sounds like heaven to me. The transition between Freak and Art Deco UGH. 😍 I’m so glad you guys enjoyed it! 🥰 I really can’t wait for you to react to NFR, but pleeease keep doing it on order and react to Lust For Life first to understand her process and evolution. ♥️♥️♥️
the feel of honeymoon is really in the word itself; it's this transient, liminal feeling of joy from one era into the next. The whole record captures this ephemeral state of being, bouncing between points and searching for somewhere to land. Its such a beautiful piece of art and it's certainly my favourite of her albums. Her next will be quite the departure but the feeling of aimless nostalgia will appear there too so, keep an eye on theme.
I think there's also a rather explicit reading that could be made, which is that the soft ice cream correlates with the man reaching his orgasm, depicted by the phallic shape of the ice cream cone, and she is "dying by the hand of a foreign man, happily" if you get what I mean. The "soft ice cream" line also coincides with the climax of the song which is interesting. And she precedes this with "Salvatore can wait, now it's time to eat soft ice cream", perhaps indicating that it is her turn first to enjoy the fruits of her man's labour, and he will have to wait before he can savour her body.
This album its trascendental im honestly in a fucking beautiful world and its summer and there are fucking rose gardens everywhere if i listen to this album
Man, it's incredible how all of Lana's albums are focused on a very original and beautiful aesthetic that, respectively, is reflected in the sound of this one and that is always so incredible and unique and a beautiful thing to hear.
Honeymoon is one of my fave Lana albums, it has mafia boss's wife vibes. It would be perfect for a film. The instrumental is so textured. And I'm so excited for you guys to react to Lust For Life, it's my fave Lana album. It's a bit less cohesive, it's a different sound, but it captures the feeling of the uncertainty of transition perfectly.
Can’t wait for you guys to reach Ocean Blvd, love the deep dive you do into the lyrical content while appreciating the melodies at the same time! Only complaint I have is that I wish the videos came sooner hehe
For me, honeymoon’s whole concept is about to be free in a secret corner of the world. Maybe Italy. And the Honeymoon Lana refers to, was different from those spending time with lovers ones, I suppose, it’s a honeymoon with herself, or, ourselves. And what’s funny is the existence of the album itself is kinda like a hermit, or an asylum. It’s my personal second best album right next to nfr.
this, ocean blvd and nfr are truly her best albums like, lets be honest, i would like to include blue banisters too…. i know a bit controversial but she ate that album
Im so glad they love it!! People always get timid by the length of the album. But the thing with lana is that she will switch up the beat/production of the song in where it doesnt stay consistent; for example Venice bitch (from nfr). But im so excited for Lust for life it’s probably the most experimental she has ever explored but yet still keeping it her own sound. And its also the first time she has features and they’re so good!!
Honeymoon is Tied with NFR in my 3rd Favorite Album from Lana, with Born To Die in 2nd and Ocean Blvd at #1 😊. Honeymoon is just an undeniable vibe, a Masterpiece in its own right! I also found that if, you create a playlist with just Burnt Norton, Followed by Swan Song, and Set Your Cross Fade option in your music apps settings, the songs flow Brilliantly into each other! ❤️
I've always thought The "soft ice cream" sounded like "soft I scream". contrasting between how bitter sweet Salvatore is. Like the lyrics from White mustang sounding like "Why am I stayin'"
i love you guys' reactions to lana. your interpretations are always spot on and for a long-time fan like me eye-opening. hope your next lana video won't take too long ❤

Honeymoon is so unfair, I think it's a sin for people to ignore the existence of this masterpiece
Ikr its like a really good album but people just be avoiding it thinking it sucks but NOOO it doesn't at all
Fr like that's her best album along with Ultraviolence
Lana is by far the greatest lyricist of my generation. Her music isn’t just art, it’s CINEMA.
Sometimes I wonder if she's really human, her talent is craaazy
nobody is even close to reaching the league lana is in
Literally. She paints a story with her songs its amazing
Lust for life will keep you shocked from the change of style it has
Maturing is realizing that Honeymoon is Lana’s best album
So true! I wasn‘t paying any attention to this album until a couple of months ago, even though I’ve been listening to her music for years almost every day 🥲

girl same! it's still in my top 3 from all of her albums!
the blackest day is still in my sad playlist 7 years later
Please keep going in chronological order with the Lana albums!!!!
I'm so glad you liked it! The blackest day is definitely a fav, THAT BIRDGE!!!!! We're getting closer to nfr ❤
Mine too.
"Y'all gonna jump me?" LMAOO I love this whole reaction. If y'all have the time, y'all need to listen to the instrumentals of this album. They're sooo good and you notice so much detail.

24 is so underrated. It's one of my all time favs from Lana. Soooo cinematic. Seems like the majority of fans hate it. :(
THE FINAL BRIDGE IS THE BEST OF THE ALBUM, 🔥 ITS MY FAV PART OF ALL
The best soundscaping she’s ever done. NFR is on the same level but this was her first peak.
Yes!!! The richness of the instrumentals the depth and the width is imsane
24 was a contender to be in a james bond movie it’s so good
the blackest day is one of the greatest tracks of all time
YES
literally so fucking good

The blackest day is hands down my favorite song from her it just awakens something in me that I can’t explain
Honestly I CANNOT wait for your reaction to NFR. Can’t believe that we’re almost there!!
Not Ariana’s ponytail turning into a tree at the end…
LMFAOOOO

FINALLYYYYY WE WERE BLESSED😭😭😭
SO happy you saw that freak and art deco transition

Lust for Life Next!!! I promise y'all will love that one

So underrated, one of my favs
Literally my favorite album of hers.
Also, in Salvatore, a lot of fans have speculated that "Soft Ice Cream" is a double entendre, with "Soft, I Scream" being its second meaning!
I think there's also a rather explicit reading that could be made, which is that the soft ice cream correlates with the man reaching his orgasm, depicted by the phallic shape of the ice cream cone, and she is "dying by the hand of a foreign man, happily" if you get what I mean. Yesss to Art Deco!!! Finally someone gets me! What an underrated gem!! It’s for sure one of my all time favorite Lana Del Rey songs!
soft ice cream = "soft, i scream"
Could never love an album more than "Honeymoon"... It's one of the few reasons I'm still alive and here
This album its trascendental im honestly in a fucking beautiful world and its summer and there are fucking rose gardens everywhere if i listen to this album

Yes! Finally!!!!! The wait for Honeymoon is over. The wait for Lust for Live begins ❤
Ive literally been waiting so long. I love you guys so much and how yall analyse lyrics. Please please do more of her albums
I always say that Lana Del Rey is my religion and Honeymoon is my bible. This album is pure art and her best to me.
I have a Christmas tradition that when we set up decorations we play this album. It feels so fitting.
Man, it's incredible how all of Lana's albums are focused on a very original and beautiful aesthetic that, respectively, is reflected in the sound of this one and that is always so incredible and unique and a beautiful thing to hear.

MUSIC TO WATCH BOYS TO AND SALVATORE ARE CRIMINALLY UNDERRATED
How come we never got more reactions from you for LDR? I reckon you'd both especially love Lust for Life!
In slavatore, the soft ice cream lyric is a word play on ”soft i scream” and that is what she does in the song
YESSS I WAS LOOKING FOR THIS COMENT
🌹 PURE ART 🌹
IM SO HAPPY YALL NOTICED AND INCLUDED THE “FREAK” OUTRO INTO ART DECO

Terrance loves you is a big homage to David Bowie, and his brother who he lost. She samples one of his most icinic songs Space Odity.
blackest day is soooo good its my fave from the album
can't wait for lust for life reaction!!! such a rollercoaster of an album but super underrated!!
Im so glad they love it!! People always get timid by the length of the album.
