Hello 🖐 again from Ireland ☘☘ I had to leave your livechat as it was after midnight here and it was past my bedtime, I am catching up on the rest of your episode today, I love both of your sweaters or as we refer to them as jumpers, thank you.
I love, love, love watching you ladies interact, talk with, about, over each other, but you're so very polite and obviously loving. I would really appreciate seeing your reclamation process Diana. I have a shawl collar cardigan that is 95% done and I just do not love it anymore, and cannot pick it back up to complete. It is made in separate pieces, and mostly sewn together (before I learnt about top down loveliness); I have thought about frogging it all, but have no idea about whether I could re-use the yarn in it's crinkly, used, form. So, hearing what you said about winding it and, washing?, really perked my ears up. Anyway lovies, I hope to take part in the Ranunculus KAL and look forward to the next episode sitting there in my queue after this one. Thank you for being here and Blessings Always ~ Mo 🙏💐💖
I have knit sweater #9, 3 times, each with a worsted weight solid and a mohair. It is so beautiful, and such a classic pattern, it would look great in any yarn. Thanks for all the great suggested knits!
I just found your podcast and have gone back and watched from day 1. I think I heard about it from Julie of knitty cats 🐈⬛ podcast. I so enjoy watching your episodes and all of the knitting. That pink Salty tee is absolutely beautiful. Everything you guys knit is lovely. I’m from western Canada. Right now I’m in British Columbia but I hope to be back in Calgary Alberta soon. You are so lucky to have your kids and grandkids so close. My kids both live in the east and I have five grandchildren I don’t see often enough!! But we do the best we can! Hopefully they will move back one of these days! Happy knitting!!
Thank you for inspiring us to knit the end of this year away! Praying God will be your strength and your song in the coming weeks. He holds us close and loves us more than we could ever imagine ♥️
Hello Ladies. Diana I knitted 3 Flax Jumper’s for my youngest Grandson last year, it’s a great all round pattern for all sizes. Love what you are both wearing and thank you for sharing your ideas and knits for your upcoming colder weather. I totally agree about ripping back knits, can’t see the point of continuing on with something your not happy with. I Absolutely Love the Ilha, I just need to cast on. Take Care ❤❤
Thank you SO much for showing the pictures of the sweaters and suggesting sweaters for beginner knitters. I really appreciate it!!! I’m starting with wrist warmers and a winter hats. After that I plan to try a sweater. Diane I know your struggles with finding the right dress, I have looked all summer and never found what I wanted. I finally gave up and am going to sew one. I’m a fairly experienced seamstress and can fit a dress to myself, which I’m thankful for. I decided it will be fun to make one that will look good with several sweaters. I know that the dress will be done a lot faster than the sweaters but that’s okay. I will say more prayers for you. Thank you both for sharing with us ❤
Love the sweaters you are both wearing and seeing all your ideas! I have never knit a sweater but maybe someday with all your lovely inspiration. So glad to hear of your positive doctor appointments Diane and will continue to pray for you!
Another great episode ladies xx You both look lovely in your jumpers but Diana the colours in yours suit you so much xx I have knit the Winters Beach Cardigan twice it is a great pattern I am no expert but I found it easy to do I did leave out the pockets because I felt if I used them it would stretch the Cardigan down xx I do have one complaint you’ve cost me money again I had to order the Weekender crew pattern and wool but I am looking forward to knitting it xx Keep it up ladies you are a joy xx
Hi Ladies! I love all of your episodes! I’m so excited for the #fallintoranunculuskal! I just watched Amber yesterday and told her I would donate a prize for the kal from my Etsy shop. I have made 1 ranunculus in the past and absolutely love it! I’m going to using Maya by Berroco for this one. It is a blend of cotton and alpaca. Looking forward to the 23rd!!!!
What a great episode! And my how my queue has grown 😬 Diana we continue to hold you in prayer as well as the nurses and doctors that are providing your care. God bless 🙏 Karyol
Diana, would you consider sharing how your knitting journal is set up and how you use it? Thank you both for sharing knitting with us in such a lovely way. 😊
In the latest episode I showed a page from mine journal. It was one of the first pages I did so it was very primitive. I will show some recent entries and some ideas about journals in an upcoming episode. Thank you for watching. ❤~Diana
I also made the Simple Stripes for the same reason. I saw Leslie Friend present it in her podcast and I was sold. However, I used 2 Koigu pencil boxes for the yarn as Skein Cocaine is not in my country and the exchange rate is not in my favor. It is my favorite sweater and I get so many compliments. Yours is just lovely. Best wishes from Margaret (My Wonderful Knitting Life podcast).
I’m making the Ranunculus in a mohair and then the Busan Sweater in Sandnes Garn Peer Gynt spicy orange held double with Lang alpaca super light orange. So excited!!!
Ladies, I absolutely love your videos.❤❤ I love the faith & family basis; your knitting & yarn choices; the loving chemistry y’all have, etc. I purchased the Weekender Crew the day it dropped. I thought I had yarn in my stash to knit it but was wrong. When Diana showed the yarn she ordered it rang a bell with me. It was all I could do to keep from getting out of bed last night to order it. I did order it this morning in the same color way. 😊
I can’t wait to start My weekender crew in my Apple crisp!! I got my yarn really quickly have you received yours yet? We could have our very own private HoneycrispCREWKAL! 😂😂 ❤~Diana
Thankyou for another FABULOUS video. You two are just wonderful and thankyou for the joy you share. I loved Diana's 'yarn pantry priveleges for grandbaby squishes' swap proposal ❤😊 So sweet and also, the joy that was on Kaity's face and so evidently also in her heart that her dh had gone to find yarn he loved for her to knit him a hat in. There is so much in that. Heartwarming. Diana - why don't you knit patches and sew them on dresses as pockets? You could even use swatches from your knitting!! or something! I would love to know how do you knit for yourselves? I seem to be not incapable of it, just do it rarely, even though I am always knitting! Just usually for my children, or friends. So any tips? 😊 Thankyou.
OMgosh!! You guys!! When Diana said she was looking for a worsted weight sweater for a friend, I thought Flax, and then you held it up! And then Katie talked about the Helia and I was just adding that one to my que yesterday!! Great minds think alike I guess 😉🥰 🇨🇦 xo
So many lovely sweater patterns! Thank you for taking the time to gather and share them. Love the Ranunculus KAL plan! Going to look through my stash and hope I have enough to cast one on! Both of the sweaters you each are wearing are gorgeous 💜
I've had yarn for the Weekender for a couple of years, but I've held off because I don't think I'd like the boat neck. I have a lingering project that I don't really want to knit on, so I think I'll reclaim the yarn and do the Weekender Crew ❤
Thank you for another enjoyable podcast. You both radiate with beauty & warmth. Kaity, If I were you I would not use the speckled yarn for the lovely Classic #9 sweater, I would stick to a lovely classic colour without any added variegation or speckles. Your lovely speckled yarn would suit a more causal relaxed style sweater. Having said that I am only new to knitting so my advice may be incorrect. I am about to cast on the Tolsta Tee after your encouragement & advice as being a beginner friendly pattern. We have just started our Spring season here, with summer temperatures of 36 degrees. My goal is to one day knit the Ranunculus but for now I will enjoy with great interest seeing all the entries to your KAL.
Just found you ladies and I love your aesthetic! I’ve knit the Ilha and love it! I’m currently knitting the Mariechen! I’m in middle Tennessee so we are neighbors 😂
OMG!! You just enabled me to go down the Ravelry rabbit hole!! I LOVE your striped sweater, Diana. I have an Advent kit from Leo and Roxy from last year that I think I will use to make one for myself!! I hate to confess that I have yarn for about 15 sweaters in my stash!! They are assigned to patterns--I just need to find time to knit them!! I am currently working on Paper Daisy's MKAL which is a shawl, and I'm making slippers for my family for Christmas. Once I finish those I intend to pick up a sweater---which one--??? I truly enjoy your podcasts!
Rabbit holes are the best!! I won’t tell a soul about your yarn treasures, I am sure you will get to them eventually. If I could just sleep about 4-5 hours and then knit, knit, knit I think I could knit most of the things that catch my eye. Slippers for Christmas what a wonderful gift for you family. Thank you so much for watching and commenting. Can’t wait to hear what sweater you knit first out of your possibilities.❤ ~Diana
First thing I thought when the episode started and I saw Diana's sweater was 'I love it!" The colours are so happy and beautiful. The way the colours flow is so clever and works. I've had the Zweig by Caitlin Hunter and the yarn for it for some time so that is on my list. There was some patterns of Wool and Pine in my cart for a long time. They had their autums sale recently. I got all the patterns I wanted! I have yarn in my stash for most of them. About lists like yours, I would say that it's patterns that you like right now lol. Later that will change and you would like something else. Whatever you decide to make, it will be beautiful. Happy knitting!
I just love you ladies and your podcast so much! ❤BIG thanks for the children’s sweater pattern suggestions, much appreciated, can’t wait to get started! 🧶 Love the sweaters you have on and the fall knitting inspiration plus the KAL will be amazing! 🎉😊
Love this podcast - wonderful to see mother and daughter be so close and enjoy a craft together. Just so sweet to watch ❤ Special prayers out to you for your health issues🙏
🙂I'm so excited for the KAL! And also love all of the fall knitting inspiration ya'll shared. I've currently started the Lento Sweater. I'm just getting into the yoke. Instead of mohair, I'm using alpaca by Lang Yarns from Wool and Company. So far so good. It is working up fast. It's my first Sweater, so I'm a bit excited. Thank you for a wonderful fall inspiration video. Have a lovely week! ❤️
What a great idea for a podcast. So enjoyed your take on the patterns and good advice to catalogue stash. Like you Diana, not so techi as the young ones, but getting there. Love your company on a rainy afternoon here in UK. ❤❤
I really enjoy watching you both. I am based in South Africa so I will be making a Spring Ranunculus as our weather is approaching Summer in the southern hemisphere. I am making my 6th Ranunculus - I absolutely love this knit. Thank you for all the ideas for the next couple of months, I don't mind making winter or fall sweaters in our summer. I have just purchased the stripped sweater that you are wearing Diana as I don't have a stripped sweater and it's about time. Have an amazing week lots of love from Pretoria, South Africa🥰
So many beautiful ideas, my pattern list grew enormously. With the beautiful speckled you showed, take a look at the birch sweater by ullen knitwear, absolutely on my to do list and it would look so lovely with your yarn
Gosh - that was a wonderful selection of patterns to make me wish I could knit them all, I will be looking forward to watching both your progress. So pleased to hear things are looking positive for your health Dianne. Recovering from back surgery 10 days ago so hoping joining in with the Ranunculus with everyone will be a nice distraction 🌸🌸
New watcher! Where are you located? I live in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario! Love the striped sweater. I looked at that yarn after seeing Leslie wear it but I don’t like Super wash yarn- haven’t had as much success - I find it doesn’t hold its’ substance and tends to stretch. Would be interested in how the SW yarn is ‘holding up’? Both sweaters are gorgeous!
I’ve never participated in a KAL before but I’m in on this one! I already had plans to knit a Ranunculus this fall so it’s the right time to start. My yarn is ready to go. This will be my 3rd one. I love Amber’s podcast too so some great people to knit with. 😎❤️
What a fun podcast. I started watching last night and finished jist now. Gorgeous sweaters and continued prayers for you Diane. Take care ladies. I already have my yarn for the KAL.
"I can sew, but I'd rather knit!" Well said, Diana! I would like to find a couple of dresses (gathered at the waist) that I can use as a blank canvas for wearing under cropped sweaters. Anyone reading this have a good source?
I had no idea with ravelry stash ideas. So glad you mentioned that. Guess my next project should be putting in all my stashed yarn! 😂. Btw, I absolutely love the sweaters you are both wearing! So gorgeous ❤
I love the sweaters you are both wearing and all the patterns you are planning for fall! I just finished undoing a Find Your Fade shawl that I loved knitting but never wore, so I can knit a Comfort Fade Cardi (both by Andrea Mowry) that I will wear. I did rehank the yarn, soak it, and dry it with a weight on the bottom to straighten it. Thanks for another great episode!
Thank you for the inspiration. All those sweater patterns are stunning and it's hard to pick just one. What's the name of the sweater Kaity is wearing, Sorry I missed the pattern name. Thanks.
I’m just about done with a Winter Woods pullover by Jessica McDonald - my Rhinebeck sweater 🥰 using Farm fresh by Junction Fiber Mill in Vermont. On deck is the Norwood by Jennifer Steingass and a Tørkle by Woldten.
I would do a swatch to make sure you get gauge and then measure your bust to see which size works for the amount of ease you want! The good thing about the Ranunculus is it is the same for all sizes through the yoke (I think) so you can try on as you go! :) - Kaity
When Taylor Swift first started singing some friends of ours saw her and told us Kaity and this new singer, Taylor, looked alike. 😂 We hadn’t heard of her yet. There have been quite a few people over the years that have made that comparison. I think they looked a like more when they were younger for sure. ❤Diana
Love watching you ladies!
You two are so enjoyable to visit with!! ❤
Great episode! The Tin Can knits app is fantastic 🇨🇦
Hi from New Zealand. I so luv your podcasts. I actually chill out and watch them in my lunch break Happy knitting 🧶
I love all those patterns.
Great podcast! Lots of inspo… thank you! 💕🤗😘
Your woolberry speckle yarn would make a great Lento. Thank you for all the patterns.

I have knitted ilha sweater in mirasol yarn. Beautiful pattern.
Hi from Seattle WA
Hello ladies. Thank you for all the inspiration. And what a good idea, the knitalong. I'm going to see if I still have suitable yarn. 🤔😏🤓
Happy to meet you both!
Amber mentioned the knit along …
The Nau is amazing yarn!!!
Still praying for you Diana!! 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
Mens one cable cardigan for my husband, Escher's dream scarf, Dyea hat
Love the sweaters you are both wearing and seeing all your ideas! I have never knit a sweater but maybe someday with all your lovely inspiration. So glad to hear of your positive doctor appointments Diane and will continue to pray for you!
You should try a sweater! Start with an easy one and you should have no problems. ~Diana

For the children’s patterns you might try Laura Penrose kits and/or Jessica McDonald’s patterns.
I also made the Simple Stripes for the same reason. I saw Leslie Friend present it in her podcast and I was sold.
Thank you for your suggestion! I may do a more relaxed sweater... or maybe even a cardigan!
Good luck on your Tolsta! That is so exciting! - Kaity
Just found you ladies and I love your aesthetic! I’ve knit the Ilha and love it! I’m currently knitting the Mariechen! I’m in middle Tennessee so we are neighbors 😂
Hey neighbor!! I’m dying to cast on the Ilha but I have so many on my list! 😊 ❤Diana
You ladies both deserve a raise🎉 Cheers from SoCal. Have a great week beautiful ladies.
Haha! Thank you! 😂 - Kaity
Oh Lisa, all black woolly worm….we’re in for it!! Better stock up on yarn!😂 ❤~Diana
My dream knitting is the Lenu. Searching for a reasonable cost yarn. Hope to join your KAL
In reference to your husband’s hat. You might try the book on national parks for hats in the USA
I have wanted to make the Zweig! Such a beautiful pattern. Sounds lovely! - Kaity

What a great idea for a podcast. So enjoyed your take on the patterns and good advice to catalogue stash. Like you Diana, not so techi as the young ones, but getting there. Love your company on a rainy afternoon here in UK. ❤❤
Another fun podcast. The Flax sweater was my very first knitted sweater. Thanks for sharing the patterns and the yarn. Blessings 🧶❤️

I really enjoy watching you both. I am based in South Africa so I will be making a Spring Ranunculus as our weather is approaching Summer in the southern hemisphere. So many beautiful ideas, my pattern list grew enormously. With the beautiful speckled you showed, take a look at the birch sweater by ullen knitwear, absolutely on my to do list and it would look so lovely with your yarn
I love the stripe sweater. The fit is great too
I’m knitting that right now. Farmers daughter yarn is fabulous. Oh the hat and peak hat.
Love all the fall knit ideas. I wish I had more time to knit them all.
I’m in England - what’s a woolly worm? Google says a caterpillar???
That’s it!! A fuzzy one ❤ 🐛
Oh goodness! I hope your recovery is going well! And so glad you are joining us for the KAL!
I’m knitting with the green Carol Feller Nua yarn right now as I’m watching you. It’s so amazing. I’m making a test knit sweater.
I did the Felix in lettlopi dark green and I love it. I did lengthen mine.
I’m very excited for the KAL. Maybe this is what will get me to finally make my first Ranunculus 🤞🏻
New watcher! Where are you located? I live in Niagara-on-the-Lake, Ontario! Love the striped sweater. I’ve never participated in a KAL before but I’m in on this one! I already had plans to knit a Ranunculus this fall so it’s the right time to start. My yarn is ready to go. This will be my 3rd one. I love Amber’s podcast too so some great people to knit with. 😎❤️

Oh how fun!!! Definitely on my list! - Kaity
Sorry! It's the Festival Sweater by Petiteknit. Definitely a favorite I've made! - Kaity
Wow! Good for you for repurposing the yarn! I'm sure the Cardigan will be lovely! - Kaity
Hey from Georgia. I made it
I have done 3 Ranunculus sweaters and am suffering from “Ranunculus-burnout”. Too many other patterns to try.
I have friend who swears by the winter forecast using persimmon seeds. Who knows…..
I too missed the name of the pattern that Katie is wearing, please share. Thank you,
Kaity is wearing The Festival Sweater by Petite Knit. Sorry we didn’t include in show notes. ~Diana
Can you give me some advice about choosing a size for the ranunculas? I don’t want it to be way oversized.
I would do a swatch to make sure you get gauge and then measure your bust to see which size works for the amount of ease you want! The good thing about the Ranunculus is it is the same for all sizes through the yoke (I think) so you can try on as you go! :) - Kaity
What is the pattern for the sweater Diana is wearing? The multicolor striped one.
Simple stripes is the name of the pattern.
Loved this podcast! First time watching......has anyone ever told you that you resemble Taylor Swift? 😊
When Taylor Swift first started singing some friends of ours saw her and told us Kaity and this new singer, Taylor, looked alike. 😂 We hadn’t heard of her yet. There have been quite a few people over the years that have made that comparison. I think they looked a like more when they were younger for sure. ❤Diana
@@thefruitfulhands that is crazy!
What is Katie wearing? I missed the pattern name
So sorry that wasn't in the show notes! It's the Festival Sweater by Petiteknit. Definitely one of my favorites! - Kaity
