If people are thinking anything in this video is even remotely impressive, I think watching a Baard Kolstad drum play through might actually kill them.
Travis Barker is without question a great drummer, one of, if not the greatest pop punk/punk/ska/hip hop drummer ever, but that’s where it ends for me. There are so many better drummers out there that don’t get the attention they should. Blake Richardson, Derek Youngsma, and Branden Morgan deserve more praise and appreciation than he does.
He's not the best technically. But he's inspired so many people including me. I don't even listen to blink at all anymore haha it's all about that Matt Garstka style drumming. Times have changed.
He's ok-that's it. Someone told me to watch him and I didn't know what they were talking about. As I said above I am spoiled by having been around 60's and 70's and I have seen them all. I can probably give you 30 or 40 names for starters that he can't touch. He's a real good drummer if you haven't seen the great ones.
To answer the probably rhetorical and subjective title question: Objectively no. Go listen to Benny Greb, JoJo Mayer, Vinnie Colaiuta, Dave Weckl, Chris Coleman, Steve Gadd, Jeff Porcaro (nicest drummer I know of and a personal favorite along with Gadd. Masters of the groove). There you can see his chops are nowhere near any
Hes literally the reason I bought my drums, what a boss
I sound decent on a twenty piece drum kit and I have no rhythm. Writing iconic beats on a 4 piece is talent

Travis Barker is top 3. He transcended genre's well over a decade ago. His warmups alone would crush most Drumline purists...he out Neil Pearts" Neil

Best drummer in the world? Not even close. If you think he is, you most definitely need to expand your music library, bc you're missing out
Who is Travis Barker?

Josh freeze and tre cool are way better!!!!!
No. His style is quite boring and basic actually.
Chris Denney give him 100 more toms to hit and it might be more your style... what he does with his kit is amazing.
Nooooooo!!! not even close to the best drummer in the world.
