Amazing layout. Loved the way you filmed it, especially when you had to stop the camera car for the coal train to pass. Excellent sound. Your city scenes are some of the best I've ever seen (and that's a lot). Looking forward to your new vid. Thanks for sharing.

  • @lennyos

@BTCRAIL101FILMS it means what it implies. the model for the most part is actually made of brass. These models are usually of rare or exclusive to one railroad prototypes. The detail as you can see is usually extremely good which along with the fact of the material used, usually drives the price up close to $1000 (also depends on rarety of model, company who produced it and if it is available in plastic)

I notice the exhaust is synchronized with the side rods on your locomotives. Well done, you don't see that very often. Beautiful layout, really captures the atmosphere of the Ohio Valley, I know the area well.

Love this HO scale layout. I think the lighting AS IS adds a great sense of mystery to the tour. I was in HO for maaannny years, but now in O Scale. I hope you will take a look at this video of my small Ironbound RR, which is O Scale 2-Rail and around 3 walls of my garage...have had to resort to all kinds of tricks to get the appearance of a large layout:
    LIFE ON THE IRONBOUND
    and
A Ride On the O Scale Ironbound RR

Excellent camera work, beautiful buildings, I love the point-of-view shots riding the locomotive. I wondered how the camera would go into the tunnel, and you cut the shot just before it did. Of course. You might try putting the camera on a flat car ahead of the locomotive and go into the tunnel. And maybe get some big blue poster board to cover the windows. Just a suggestion. And really good sound. Thank you.

That is one superior layout. Nice detail. What's the reason for hauling loaded coal drags in both directions at 2.00 and again at 3.10? I'm guessing it has to be something to do with prepping and sorting, rather than being too lazy to unload them at the end of the run.

IDK if RUclips is aware, I've never seen this problem before, but at the end of this video , 5:06, the screen went black, and the counter kept rolling... It was up to 5:48 before I stopped it, I took a screen shot, if anyone needs to see it...
    Otherwise, great video!

This is show layout, excellent modeling, and operating layout, but not an operational layout in that the trains are proto type in there movement.
Many parts staged for video if you know what to look for. This is outstanding example of excellence in modeling.

absolutely beautiful... lay-out design and detailing, collection, all. Is that Bachmann 2-6-6-2 able to pull the unit train from one level to the next? How much is the ruling grade? (reason I ask, somewhat obsessed by pulling power, I'm in lay-out planning stage, weighing maximum train lengths against percentage points of incline - or maybe just one level and no grades at all.) thanks!

Is this based out of Wheeling WV? I'm in the southern part of the state, and I must say..this is beautiful...especially 3:27 to about 3:40 from the old utility wagon crossing the wooden bridge to that little church just outside the Cabin Creek Mine. It really captures the era and the essence of this poor industrial state in the 40s. I just won a coal fair with my modular train because it showed the real way coal is transported (I'm a science teacher and my students built and entered the train..
