What a deck! Feels like OG canadian thresh; a lot of work just to squeeze out the barest of margins but when you do it, it's just art

I played UB Tog when it was a type 2 powerhouse and The Rock in Extended. Great decks, great games

I've played a near endless amount of games against the vintage GAT deck.
There should almost certainly be 4 gush in this deck. Early versions also ran 4 accumulated knowledge, but i don't know if that is a good idea.
I think this deck would be better as Super Grow - just replace the psychatogs with mystic enforcers and you're pretty much there :)

I can get behind the 4th Gush, but I have been really unimpressed with Mystic Enforcer in Premodern. 4 mana feels so much more than 3.

@@CloudgoatRanger I wasn't impressed by psychatog in this video, that's why i suggested going super grow instead.
I think the deck you show cased looks good but needs a little polishing to be great. Hadn't thought about using diamond in grow, i have only seen grow work in formats with the original dual lands.

@@CloudgoatRanger It warms my heart to see this deck still being played. I absolutely loved playing this deck back in Extended, which was almost exactly this list.
@Yamcha Dragonball I like 4 Gush, I don't like Accumulated Knowledge and Mystic Enforcers. Psychatog kills surprisingly quickly. Though admittedly the deck I played was even heavier on cantrips (I think I had two maindeck Counterspell and 0 maindeck Meddling Mage). Basically I wanted a cantrip density that was such that you could just chain cantrips forever, and if you had that then Psychatog was unbelievably lethal. If you have such a cantrip density, then you don't need as many counterspells / meddling mages maindeck because your quirion dryad + psychatog + armageddon plan was just better than anything fair decks could do.
Cephalid Coliseum was a critical part of that, because it turned excess land into more cantrips to keep the cantrip chain going.

Why not play swords to plowshares in the main deck?

From most of the lists I have seen, they have them in the board. I'm guessing this is because there are a number of matchups that opponents don't have creatures or Swords is not very important.
From my experience lately, there are a lot more creature decks. I think Swords would serve well in the main deck

Gotta play faster or edit the videos. Just drags on so long

I'd recommend using the RUclips settings to increase the playback speed
