Zachary levi is a whiny actor who complains about other actors when his movie absolutely bombs, due to his poor performance, crappy villains no one cares about, and pathetic script no one should've ever approved. He can't blame the rock for this absolute crap shoot of a movie.

All the team seemed so happy making the film, so sad it didn't do well at box office, I had a good time watching the first Shazam and I hope to watch the sequel as soon as possible

I had a great time with the sequel. I don’t know what everyone else is talking about. It had a lot of heart.
Just finished the movie and I actually enjoyed it very much. Despite the bad box office I'm pretty much convinced Shazam will have a future in the Gunnverse.
I really appreciate how the actors and crews worked hard on this. It's so adorable that they could still laugh even if their being thrown by wires attached to them or being punched or getting hit by footballs. It's like everything in the movie was shot in real life even the explosions. And I love how the director instructs the actors on what to do and the bond they formed in the movie. I hope the movie could be on of the keys to bring the DC Cinematic Universe back to life🥰😍

Not hate as much as bad reviews. Movie just wasn't very good. Better than Black Adam though. But that ain't a high bar.

It is unlikely there will be a sequel. The final numbers for this film are: $125 million dollar budget to make the film. The worldwide box office was $132,192,107 or a profit of just over $7 million. This does not include advertising expense or videos sales. Overall its box office was 1.1 times the production budget. The sequel did worse than the original film in the profit game. Gunn kept a few films from the old regime - this is one of them. It did better than Black Adam which actually lost money, but it does not appear to have done well enough to get a sequel. The Flash and Aquaman II as well as Blue Beatle brings the old regime movies to the end. If any get to continue it will be a miracle it seems. Unless someone knows more than this.

There are too many lightning bolts, dragons, monsters and destruction.
this is the second film about gods, wizards and magic.
nothing new was brought to the film.
Wonder Woman 2 also failed to show anything new and repeated the main theses of the first film - gods, magic and too much lightning, destruction for the sake of destruction.
such failed films forced James Gunn to be hired, because the studio understands that most of the audience does not like their films.
it saddens me that the directors and screenwriters don't blame themselves, but blame the fans of Zack Snyder or someone else, but it's not their fault. better to make them sleep better so that they could sleep better at night and not be tormented by conscience for poor work
The Skittles part with the giant unicorn and the little girl tossing them saying catch the rainbow was beyond corny...It was one of many corny cheesey lines which ruined the movie..
So glad I didn't know it was the product's slogan and the scene worked for me. But I can see how that was a poor decision on their part, especially with main audience being their fellow USA citizens.
