    It is a fact that this mower is extremely fast, almost too fast.
    If you're a heavy man, this may not be an issue for you, but for us lighter weights, at full speed when you hit bumps or dips your butt will come off the seat for just a second, which is just long enough for it to disengage the blades. The blades will reengage, but it's a little aggravating nonetheless.
    Also, at the higher speeds the ride is not quite as comfortable. Most of us are not mowing baseball fields, so just a heads up!

    I see a lot of the same question asked but sorry, going to ask again, however I'm going to add some criteria to my comments.
    Looking between the 760 with the 27 HP Kawie, and the 920 with 23.5 Kawie, both 60" decks, both with the suspension seat.
    My yard is a "rough" 2 acres plus I mow the front halves of my two adjacent neighbors as they are both widows.
    By rough, I'm referring to the condition of the ground, not rough in size. It is very bumpy, def. not a baseball field! Roots, trees and obstructions.
    I am concerned about the 23.5 HP not having enough umph, for one. I am also concerned if the 760 frame will be able to handle the heavy use. I don't want to say abuse, but it's not far from that.
    Also, will one have a better float of the deck in areas where the ground may be higher on one side of the deck?
    There is just shy of a $2k difference in price, starting at $10.6 for the 760. I had set $10k as my budget but believe in cry once.
    If it's worth the difference. I want this to be the last machine that I have to buy, but don't want to spend unnecessarily.
    Tat said, the 920 seems to be a better machine, the 23.5 HP motor aside.

    • @WesternEquipment
      @WesternEquipment  Год назад

      Honestly this is a tough one and you are right it is a common question. I would be more likely to go with the Z760R. I think the frame strength is there and it is right on the cusp of being a commercial grade mower anyway. But on the flip side you can make a good argument for the Z920 as well. My suggestion would be to go and try to get in the seat of both machines and see which one feels like the best fit for you.

    Can you do a mow a acre with a z540r and a z535r and what of those two should I use for my grandpa’s 5.5 acre farm?

    • @WesternEquipment
      @WesternEquipment  4 года назад

      Yes, they are on the list. Either one of these mowers would be ok for the job because they are the same mower other that the Z540R has a Kawasaki engine and the Z535R has a Briggs and Stratton engine. If you are looking into mowing that much though, I would consider looking into the Z7 line-up.

  • @jsnokhous

    Trying to decide between this machine and the 740R. Both are priced similarly at my local dealer since they have the 740 with tweels only and pneumatic on the 920M but with suspension seat. Which would you lean towards if ride quality and long term durability are at the top of the list in that order? Love your videos by the way

    I’m torn between this and the 740R.
    I’d be mowing about an acre for my yard which is uneven with steeper inclines all around, then mowing taller weeds down in my small fields on my property. Nothing too tall, but wanted your opinion if it was worth it to step up to the 920 over the 740r.
    I do it all now with my E130. But want a zero turn that’s a little beefier. Thanks

    What is the lifetime expectancy of the tires?HOURS??

    • @WesternEquipment
      @WesternEquipment  4 года назад

      It’s hard to put on hour range on it. It’s all going to depend on the ground conditions but Michelin says they are designed to last 2-3 times longer than a pneumatic tire. This makes sense when you think about how the tire will wear more evenly since it does not have air inside that is moving causing the tire to wear differently in spots. All of my customers that have them absolutely love them and I have sold sets in the aftermarket because of how nice they are!

    In your opinion, Is this mower more comfortable than the Z740R with the same setup (tweels, seat, etc)? AND, if the budget was not an issue, would you select the Z920M over the Z740R for a residential application of a large property? I know the Z920M is a commercial line, but I'm planning on purchasing a mower that will last me the next 15-20 years (maybe my last), and I just thought the Z920M was more value (heavy deck (7 Iron with 4 anti-scalp wheel compared to the Pro Cut with 2 anti scalp wheels on the Z740R, cast iron front casters on the Z920M that are replaceable, 20 degree slope spec on the Z920M versus 15 degree on the Z740R, etc) for the additional $1,900. Please let me know your opinion if it was your purchase and you had the above scenario. I know both mowers are high quality but I want to make the best long term decision and I trust your opinion. Thank you so much! HELP!!

    • @WesternEquipment
      @WesternEquipment  2 года назад +2

      If budget is not an issue than I would definitely go with a Z900, for all of the reasons you listed above. You have nailed it on the head. The Z900's are meant to last for thousands of hours for commercial use, so if you're looking for a mower to last the next 15-20 years you are heading the right direction with the Z900's. when this series of videos is over, we need a whole new series demonstrating the functionality of the beer holder. at the end of each video, you measure how much beer is still in the beer holder. At the end of the series, the winning mower is the one that spilled the least amount of beer. Nah, that wouldn't work. It's not humane to expect a rider to not drink the beer while mowing a whole acre. Oh well, I guess this is one question that will forever remain unanswered.
