i really like the guy with "if it's working, use it" so much enthusiasm. really nice.
Good to see that individuals are doing something so that the cells don't pollute the environment. The politicians are all sold out to lobbies that give a damn about the environment.
@@cosmokramer4682 lobbies and international / globalist interests , yes.
They hardly care about environment or even local / natives people. They care about themselves and their global masters only.
anyway, great video especially the ending part with the battery guy
the lenovo shirt guy at the end was super hyped about his job... i wish i had that much enthusiasm about my job lol
get a new job or change career , life is too short !!! ;)
I’m sure he enjoys it. But you see him engaged in sales/marketing with and influencer of course he’s enthusiastic.
its nice of you to try this again and to make a video.
love the very practical/cheap solutions to different parts of the build, I've wanted to do this for so long and it just never felt as accessible. Seeing it done using really easy to find things is awesome.
Fedora guy is doing some good in this world, for sure!
I think I've just found a new career... I wanna do what he's doing!
Does fedora guy work for Lenovo? Where is that test facility?
He works at IT Asset Partners in California
But he’s an idiot or just a battery swapper. Making a statement like here’s a drill, here’s a laptop and then here’s a Tesla... they’re all the same is stupid as shit. Tesla and Medtronic developed their battery technology together and is nothing like a laptop cell. There’s a reason why laptop cells die every 2 or 3 years and the current Tesla/mdt cells are from 2008 technology. The only thing the share is they 18650 size lol
Jason, partially true, the reason isn't just the cell, it's more how the cell is used. If you charged/discharged laptop cells within a narrower voltage range (like Tesla does with their cars) you can quadruple the life of the cell easily. Laptops have to be very conscious of weight so a bare minimum of batteries are used and they are pushed harder. They are very different applications, you also find that consumers are more concerned with maximizing "hours per charge" and are not willing to sacrifice that to longevity. Tesla could without a doubt offer a much longer range with the same cells, but they chose longevity instead and limit charging to 4.1v.
Erik is a very passionate guy when it comes to keeping good stuff out of landfils. No wonder you two are good friends/colleagues.
Jehu Garcia don't give up on what are you doing eventually something good will come out of this. Keep up the good work man!! Your friend here saying "it should be re-use, not going in to the ground or smelted" is also doing something good for the world. 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽
your honesty is very refreshing - integrity is worth a lot
recycling batteries is saving so much on natural resources and manufacturing waste . I remember braking apart my first laptop battery which I got from the IT guy at my work place, that was 5 years ago , and I still use them in my flashlight 😊
We need more context for the segment at the end. Where and what is that about??? :)
Been following this guy since 15k followers, he is DIY genius. Always good content.Keep it up Jehu
Great followup video. I just filled out the form for 120 cells for a little Power Wheels project for my sons. Keep up the great work.
love the chages tomyour channel. the functionality is awesome, and keep adding value to the planet
The ending of the video was great!
Wow!!!..., mi hermano. I fall in Love with that battery cells testing setup......
New version has screws to tighten the collection of caps, along with jumpers that are tied down with a nut to wire the batteries together. Very neat.
Thanks for trying again, Jehu! We appreciate it!
I know you loved to see Jehu finally endorsing your kit haha... =]
@ElectricBike yes but I secretly loved seeing myself in a Jehu video, mwahaha!
That's not a good system when contact can be weak on some cells. You'd never know if one cell jarred loose when its in use or charging making extra heat and changing the absorption of whatever cell was loose. Is there an upgraded version yet?
Ian Mangham are you serious? these make your battery 30% bulkier and these have to be the worst connectors i've ever seen...
@@practicalguy973 Absolutely - that's exactly what I was thinking.
Looked into it. The holders would be very expensive for enough to make a power wall. Once they can reduce the price point it cold be do able. I would like to see the busses made out of copper also.
Great vid; I am newer to the EV community and working on a electric bike (motorcycle}. At the moment I am just collecting the components before I pick the bike. This video was very helpful as I am on a beginners budget as I was wondering how I was going to get the funds up for the spot welding; thank you for making this video for hobblist like myself.
Mycheal, I'm also looking to make an e-motorcycle. Did you end up pursuing your project?
I used BAK with my vruzend kit as well for my Honda ATC electric project.
thanks for keeping up the search for good deals on cells. I will be needing some very soon. I hope to be spending about $200-$250 a month . on cells for my off grid house. thanks again..
That's one great video and thanks for showing us about( Lenovo's?), battery test bed. That is cutting edge for sure. You are a big man to admit your error.I always like the films you make for us.
This is amazing. Thank you for the ending.
Wow thats a hardcore cell tester. Love it!
Have you thought about offering a class on building Power Walls? Like, we come to you for a boot-camp style learning.
ほんとにバッテリーすきですねぇ!
JUST came across your channel(didn't take long to subscribe... ;-) really appreciate the legwork you are doing!! Slightly sad that I've missed the opportunity to get an awesome deal on some cells...crap happens for a reason tho, and I have been eagerly watching a few channels(now yours included) in a kind of awesome "RUclips University" open source spread of the knowledge that just can't be sequestered/denied to us anymore by greedy, scared, old cronies, anymore. Kudos to you and ALL involved in defiance of the powers that be, in pursuit of a better, more compassionate and just life. BTW, who is that wonderfully enthusiastic and positive person doing the RIGHT thing, by testing those cells and honoring to the fullest of his capacity our resources? The world needs someone like him on every block, across the GLOBE.
Who is the dude in the Trilby hat? He is passionate about keeping these out of the waste stream. Seems like a good guy.
techcrunch.com/2018/04/25/how-microsoft-helped-imprison-a-man-for-counterfeiting-software-it-gives-away-for-free/
Man. What a messed-up world we live in.
Great info on this video. Thanks for sharing.
where I am at nobody ever admits to making mistakes even if it would so much better for them if they did. Good Job man.
if its working use it! the room is amazing!
I like the way those end connectors work. How well are the batteries you guys bought working and holding up? Man, that's a lot of batteries.
Sick you got a samba split window nice!
i am a hige fan of your channel i think you should power your volt meter with 18650 batteries and make it rechargeable next
I've got my notifications on just to see the guy at the end
That guy at the end was awesome
garoto vc é o maximo ,,gostei muito
I love the guy of the end.
IT is true, if is working just use it
"If It's Working, Use It!!" I love that!!!
who's the guy/company at the end ? his ideas are great. I am wondering how much a setup like he shown cost ?
Yes, please tell who the guy/company is at the end.
great video
"If it's working, use it"
@jehu I hope in the near future you can do this group buys for people in the EU or UK. :D no one else in youtube is doing this as far as i know
Thanks for the education.
for now, nothing better than a old and good soldering method for this cells
i had seen the advert for the solderless battery pack and already discarded it due to cost. and now it seems you should better use new 18650 for better connections? am i wrong to think that most people that want to assemble an 18650 packs are looking into the cost ? (aside from the dun) and therefore recovering 18650s at low cost from dead batteries ? not buying good new ones... (the 20.000 from Jehu is a bulk purchase, kind of one off and limited geographically etc...). nice vid thanks :)
are you getting some more of the LG bats?
jehu with your RUclips pulling power. They should all be knocking on your door. work out a discount code through your vids and people get cheaper cells, you get a small cut and the company shifts more and makes more everyone's a winner!
Wow... Jehu... this boggles the mind... and who is that dude with the hat? I've so much to learn...
I am sure Micah had the biggest smile watching this video haha
Nice VRUZEND review... yeahhh.. the solderless kit works.... =]
awesome bus man!
can someone explain the difference between say these cells and the origonal cells we got for 1.00 ( had to buy 200 )
What do you use these giant battery banks for?
Hey Erik what's up sir. I'm planning to make a solar lamp with powerbank function using 1s10p 26650 lithium ion battery pack. What modules do I need to fast charge it using solar panel and ac to dc adapter? Thanks..
Yes a thousand times
guy at the end is cool
Hi jehu, what brand and model did you use for balancing?
Trying to use the Vruzend kit to build a battery for my Ford Cmaxx Energi to add to the EV battery present. The battery in the vehicle is already 7.6 kWh, about 20 mi range, give or take. The battery I'm building so far is about 2.2. kWh, adding 5 miles. Small, but it finishes my commute all EV. What method would you use to connect it to the vehicle?
I wished I could take 100 but I'm in Australia and moving to Seattle within the next 30 odd days. But want to get them for my eskateboard which had lead acid and it's stuffed and needs new replacements. 36V 15ah sounds around 100.
can I build a 100p cell out of these holders?
I really enjoyed your video. Please give us some more info on the guy at the end of the video.
hey jehu i came across this video while looking for a way to build my own powerwall. do you have a list of the requirements to build one on your website?
hello, you can pass me the link or tell me where to buy those pieces where you connect the batteries, that in the video you see that you take it from a green box. thanks from Spain.
Where may I buy some used cells to start testing? I'm amped up about battery building.
I like that guy in the end. Make more videos of what he is talking.
dude your awesome
Hello.
I would like to know your opinion about:
Soldering batteries with tin affects their performance and durability?
Lanzhd 3300 mAh 30A discharge. 67Grams Weight per unit.
Good work. Regards.
Can we have an update to theses solderless systems
You drive a vehicle that uses water or electrolysis. What happens when it gets cold outside does the fuel freeze?
What forms of payment will you accept once this is a go? Any rough guess on what domestic shipping would be per 100 cells?
Hey, I was wondering if anybody could give some advice, I may potentially need to build a battery to replace the one in a Seabob F7, the current battery states, 2.1 KW/h, 56v, 40ah.. would this be possible to make from 18650 cells and would I be able to use the original BMS from the old battery pack with the new 18650 cells once they’re wired together? The old batteries were accumulator battery’s, I’m unsure what this means or if it matters? Also apparently the previous battery was 14 lithium cells, does this matter? Thanks :)
Can anyone tell me what happens when you put different manufacturers batteries into a power pack with series and parallel set up to make a 12V battery pack if some have different Mah ?
Wouldn't all the holders raise the resistance of that pack to big numbers? This seems a great way to go... But If each weld ads 0,1 Ohm as I read... Did you test the resistance?
I believe in the long term resistance will increase.
Think also when these batteries are used for e-bikes and e-scooters. it's not like testing batteries on a work bench!
hello, Excuse me, where can i buy those terminal caps?
I tried the first kit of 4 units. Some of them got cracked. Nuts and some bars were missing. Was difficult to press them on. My fingers were hurting after.
Wjat are the scematics on that battery i would like to know more about it
They four battery 18650 they sell as power banks. I ordered a couple I'm using to power lights and whatever I decide to add to my electric bike. That way the bike battery isn't powering everything and might get me further down the road.
Why did I get red and blue caps ? the old bait and switch ?
Could you provide link to the battery caps??
nice video. I am trying to assemble 24V Li-ion battery (with 10 Amh) for the Razor Ground Force Drifter. I just wonder why you specify a link for the go kart charger? In other words, I assume the original kart charger will not work if you use Li-ion batteries as it was designed for lead acid. Can someone comment. Thx
how are those batteries rated compared to quality batteries like samsung Q30
Woah, that machine at the end
is it possible to make car batteries for my audio setup? right now I have 3 big 12v batteries to support 5k watts. 2 alternators roughly 500 amp charging. I would love to try to build something for my setup
Wats up am from jamaica i need some help with biulding a kit
HOw do you recharge the batterys after use
How would I best go about buying some cells in South Africa?
The mailing list link didn’t show up for me. Can you put it in the description?
Where to buy Vruzend connectors?
I do wonder how much that would cost in AUD (with shipping). Have a motorbike project that already has 1k HG2 cells, but a few more test cells really woulden't hurt!
Hey
I want ask you one question my Sony Vaio laptop uses Samsung ICR 18650 -22G battery I am searching for it and I didn't find anywhere. I am getting Samsung ICR 18650 -22F. Is their any differ between 18650 22F and 22G
Where do you buy the kit
If you want your cells to actually stay connected for any length of time, they need to be welded together.
The dog was happy only two didn't work.....
WHERE CN I GET THESE AT
Because of you I found out about this company and ordered my own kit
By the way what are those cell Checker things you every was in can you show me how to buy those
Hi, do the Sony VTC fit?
where to buy that balancing gadget? and what model?
Pls link me to the vruzend product !
23 window Samba Van! Nice...
