I don't understand how the ult works. Sometimes you can just casually walk out of it, other times it's like you're glued in place while it charges up to a billion percent.
it really depends on the distance you have to walk , like if the orisa ults behind you , you either have to take the long way to get to safety or walk towards the entire enemy team to get away
elevation also takes a bit part if orisa ults on a ramp its gonna take longer for you to get out of it if you go forward or backwards along the ramp so you gotta get out of it from one of the sides to be more efficient
Kiriko suzu negates the slowness for a bit letting your team get out faster.
It seems like when it begins it pulls people in and then after that initial pull it ends and they can walk away freely
@@erikdayne5429 it isn't free actually, it also slows people that are inside it, allowing for easier follow up from your team
The vertical range is insane too, on Hollywood by the mega I got killed by the orisa ulting on the ground while being on the building

Facts
That would def be like an Orisa Reinhardt, or Orisa Sigma type comp, with Lucio, probably either Moira, bap, ana or Kiriko depending if you think she would be added at that time, DPS definitely would be a high output hitscan like McCree for brawl and range picks, and a reaper or something up close and bursty. Tbh it'd be super fun.

Nah that would be way too broken. Imagine her having all this damage and survivability plus a Zarya to bubble her and wait out CD's. People already complain about her being unkillable, a second tank would make her actually immortal.
In custom games you can go up to 12 players per lobby. So you can play 6v6 and test it out.

@@afriendofafriend5766 no risk? You become immobile and can't shoot plus if they have kiriko its useless, you basically become a free target for the enemies so I think there is plenty of risk

I perfectly understand how the ult works now.
It deals high damage, BUT your perfectly safe in imortality
you just get fortify, maybe not immort but definitely damage reduct
That's my top 500 tank streamer, not hitting a single javelin throw all game :)

It can be used same place hog uses his ult to get an off map hook but u can get the whole squad off done or several times and can’t get booped from behind by lucie if ur in defensive mode

We could use a PSA for Remattra’s ult too. It seems most players don’t understand if you break line of sight it ends after 4 seconds but if you stay in his line of sight it will continue indefinitely.

it’s also not line of sight… it’s based on distance/proximity to enemies.
@@Xevamir There is LOS as well. Can't tether through walls, nor a correctly placed shield. Winton Bubble does pretty good at holding it.
@@Sassaparilla I have 100% died through a wall to it on at least one occasion. Could've been a bug if this is true, but it definitely happens.

Movement abilities work very well at getting away, even sym's tele can get a full team off of orisa, provided theyre quick

@@harborwolf22 I mean, some people may be excessively over the top on things being OP. But there's literally zero denying that Hog is OP. In pretty much every ELO at current, hog can be a total pain in the ass to deal with lol.
The best thing about going against him (and Orisa) is that they are giant meat sacks full of ult charge if they are playing recklessly.

@@Grigeral Every Hero has weaknesses and strenghts. Hogs only weakness is Ana. Compared to other tanks that makes him already way too strong. And then there is Orisa which has only one weakness, and that is lack of hitscan. She is not killable, and thats kinda stupid. They even gave her extra HP on her spells, so Ana grenades cant kill her. Blizzard really thought this through, to create one hero, that just needs to be played to gain ELO, if the enemy doesnt have the hero. Blizzard is been doing this for ever in OW. Just thinkg back to times when Mercy just got her Revive... jesus
@@Joshu223 a weakness to Ana that can be completely negated by kiriko. Though orisa can also negate him, but it becomes her job.

@@caldeira_a yes but no cuz genji is squishy and after the deflect he’s still punishable and genji can’t win against hog during 1v1’s so it’s pretty useless and also defense matrix is better cuz it has larger area of coverage and with recent nerf on hog makes dva more viable compared to genji

You don't know just how many people in lower elo kept telling me that you could block the ultimate with shield. So rein hearts would always stand in it with thier shield out and die. Thier excuse was that it did enough damage to break the shield and that's why they died... no. You died because you were standing in the Damm circle. I had my toe in it by accident one time and died.
You could once, they buffed the ult though and now it goes through barriers
They were right; her ult only recently got buffed to pierce shields

One thing I see no one do as Orisa and I find very good is in overtime I sit on the cart and charge a max terra surge. The enemy is forced to get off point and C9 or take a massive hit
Probably because in a lot of those games the Sojourn, Widow or Echo could tear her to shreds as you're a stationary target. Can certainly make space as people panic, but if you're holding it, it's gonna be headshot central.

I have much success with Orisa but I find shes just too powerful and know theres gotta be a nerf coming so I started playing more JQ and been having a blast. Poppin the shout running into the back lines and destroying any squishies. Been working really well if my team plays aggressive with me.

I really don't get it. I just lost a match near the final point of El Dorado. Enemy Orisa was on the ground around the final Corner ult'ing. I was 76 on the high ground and got deleted.

I've been maining Orisa lately and have been struggling a bit with her ult. Isn't it supposed to slow down your opponent's movement speed while they are caught in range of it? Because this seems to be a bit of a hit or miss thing. Sometimes they stay within it, and sometimes they can easily get away from it.
orisas ult is bad. really not good. it is a zoning tool not a pick tool. When you get kills it is because either they are stupid or your team helped keep them in place
It does slow enemies pulled by it, but the slow quickly decays. It never stops slowing them, but it goes from a big slow to a mild slow, allowing just short of enough time to kill a 200hp hero by itself. The hitbox is also a little deceptive, because of the camera angle.
@@parkerpope1163 When you say "zoning tool", you mean something like Zaria's grav, right? I don't see how that would make sense to bring your opponents to you so they can attack you like a parked helicopter, and not be able to dish out any meaningful damage to those who got caught in it. Even though you are vulnerable while it charges, thankfully most players run from it.
@@Sandmansa A zoning tool is an ability that is meant to force enemies out of position or stop enemies from interacting with an area. Grav can be a zoning tool, but thats a waste. Make no mistake, Orisa's ult does deal a lot of damage. If you just stand in it and try to kill her, only a roadhog ult or nano'd dps (Bastion or Reaper mainly) can kill her quickly. Anything else that isn't a tank will just die unless saved by an ability like sound barrier or suzu.
@@Sandmansa it is a zoning tool (despite it pulling people in) because it forces the opposing team to run to not die from it. It is extremely easy to avoid dying to the ult. Harder to avoid not dying to the rest of the team while running or pushed out of position. It is great for creating space.
i use it to murder mercy. i wait for her to dash, then i ult to cancel her flying animation. Usually shes fully struck with plenty of time to charge up for the 1 shot.

But that's not really orissa job. There's plenty of opportunities to grab mercy. However, in gm, much less opportunity

Sheer curiosity, Flats, do you ever play with only randoms? I wondered if you have experienced just how miserable the experience is since OW2. This isn't a griefing question, but a true one. I almost exclusively play QP because I just play for fun, but since OW2 you're now far more reliant on the other players since there are less of you. It's nearly unplayable in the gold/plat due to the roll or be rolled. I do occasionally get a decent game, but it's almost always when I have my regular friends on my team, and nearly never with randoms.
I imagine it's different in high elo since you need better team play to do well, with exceptions (junkrat, hog and sojourn)
I've only played OW with at least one friend, makes it so much easier to deal with
It's the opposite for me, I get way better games when queueing solo

Even I have better spear aim. I have like a fat 40% spear accuracy sometimes. If the target is slow like a tank then spear hits are really easy to hit.

Its been around a year since I've played ow competitively (been mostly playing costume games and anything that's not qp or comp). I'm trying to get back into it competitively and watching Flats play makes me confused💀 Lik wtf is happening and whys the meta not making sense to me😭

Use it to pull 3 people into the well in ilios I think is the easiest way.

Orisa drags all the nearby enemies towards her and then charges up her javelin (500% max) and it kills all nearby enemies. The reason why it doesn't work sometimes is a) you are at low hp and fortify is unavalible and you die or b) the enemies have successfully escaped the ult
Junker Queen charges in a straight line (kind like Reinhardt) and inflicts bleeding damage whoever got in her way. The enemies loose hp and are unavalible to heal for a few seconds WHILE STILL loosing health, and Junker Queen gains health from the caused damage.
Both take patience, skill and practice. Hope this helped :D

Watching you miss your Javelins or throw Javelin early on a Hog is driving me a little nutz as a Tank main.. and I'm not anywhere as High Rank as you and can hit my Javelins better..
