can you make a new video and show how it goes today?

I don't have this boat & motor anymore, sorry. It was a nice combination but a bit too light and flimsy for the lake it was at. It was often too windy to go on plane.

I have the same engine but mine doesn't warp, how did you go when yours warped and flattened?

I guess it's the boat together with light weight. I myself am light as well as the boat. It would help to lean forward when starting to plane, but it was not necessary. Also the aft of the boat is shaped in a way to assist in planing, i.e. the last 30 cm or so of the otherwise rather flat bottom is curved slightly downward, if u get what I mean.
In this video the motor had the standard 7 pitch propeller. Also 6 1/2 and 6 were available.

Was a nice motor till the lower unit blew out. Still trying to find a lower unit 2 years after.

That motor was kind of short lived just before the first 4-strokes came in, so it might be tricky to find salvaged parts.

Hi, I have the same engine, but i'm not sure what is the correct oil/fuel mix ratio. How do you prepare your fuel mix?

The builder of this engine, Suzuki, gave 1% but OMC/Evinrude gave 2%. I tried both, the engine ran nicer and cleaner with 1% thus I used that ratio. This was a nice little motor but I don't have it anymore.

@@j-medsystems7142 Thanks for the info, I have this motor and I used a higher ratio (4% - don't have the user manual and someone else told me that this is the correct ratio...), but didn't performed well, lots of smoke and loss of power so I thought it might be because of the fuel ratio.

@@mitirazvan If you run much at full power, then 2% is ok. For slow speed and trolling 1% would be better.

What’s your top speed with this motor? I have the same one I’m about to put on a 14ft alumacraft plain boat.

15 knots max. Not bad for this little motor. This is with the standard 7" propeller, also 6 1/2" and 6" props are available.
