What power supple do you have and did you upgrade this pc from an acer one? Because I have the same specs and I’m going to upgrade soon to the 1060 so I would like to know if it’s the same and I’ll be fine great video 👍🏼
i upgraded from an acer one, the motherboard isn’t standard atx. So you need a new motherboard a new case a new power supply just to get the computer capable of having a graphics card, then you might need new ram since it’s 8gb in single channel, but i got a 1060 for it and it works great
@@zander2541 I actually recently did this i found out that my pc wasnt up to par with newer specs. i got new ram a new power supply new gpu and i still need a new motherboard but i dont know if i should upgrade my cpu. Do you know any benchmarks that show how well the i5 7400 is?
@@redditYapSession some say that you drastically bottleneck the card with the cpu but i dont see the point in upgrading cpu; rather buy a full packaged pc and upgrade later on something with an i7 and 2060
depends on the kind of games u want to play. newer AAA titles will 100% benefit from 16gb ram. games will end up using more and more ram as time goes on.
I have same config because i have 1x8 gb ddr4 2400 mhz, and i have low graphics 120-130 fps, and i dropped, if i buy 2x8gb 2400mhz, i have fix 144 fps in low graphics?
I would not recommend over clocking as it can make your pc run quite unstable. What I would recommend doing is dust out your pc to make sure that heat is not the issue as heat can cause major frame drops. Secondly since your card is 3gb you will have to limit the graphically intense settings such as texture detail. Third make sure you keep your nvidia drivers up to date. You can do this by using GeForce experience or by going to nvidias website and enter your computer specs. Hope this helps. Feel free to ask any more questions!
I don't understand i have gtx 1060 3gb i5 7400k 8gb ram and i play on 59 hz 1440p and i have fps drops in fortnite and not much fps at low settings i optimized pc for fps and it don't helped much bruh. Please help
I’m like at -20fps with same specs but I have 8gb ram, so this means if I upgrade to 16 I should be like u, right? Edit: just realized u have the 6gb version so I guess I wouldn’t have the same fps because I have the 3gb version
I have tha same CPU and a gtx 1050, im playing fortnite on low settings and my CPU run at 100% but my GPU only 50-60% why? I think the 7400 easily enough for fortnite, but how can a 1050 bottleneck my cpu?? (I didn't screen record or stream)
I think that processor is making me a bottleneck with a 1650super, I have everything exactly the same except the optane and although I get 144pfs all low, in endgames the lows are unbearable
I currently have this computer and if you are looking to run gtaV smoothly I would recommend getting ram with a clock speed of 3200mhz. This will help with gta’s open world rendering as the quicker speed should reduce some stutter. 8gb may stutter but would be quite minor. Hope this helps friend!
@Majid Hameed You probably cant play cyberpunk on this, unless you play all low settings and even then it will probably range from 30-40fps, however gta, rainbow six, call of duty, overwatch etc are all games I have tried and they have worked very well. I have this same setup so if you want to know any other games let me know.
@@jackboyle6503 you should be getting around 60 FPS on high settings. You can watch videos to get a better idea. Search up rust on a 1060 and you can take a look for yourself.

i'll buy another 8gb ram

I have the RX580 4gb with the I5 7400 right now, i want to upgrade to an Nvidia, can I go up to a 2060 or 2070?
Don´t do it, first upgrade processor and board, with this CPU im getting bottlenecked with gtx 1650super

In which game did this happen. It maybe due to the cpu bottleneck
will I get similar fps to this with an gtx 1060 3gb?
you will likely get 5 to 10 fps lower. here is a good comparison ruclips.net/video/7iNNUAnFjcM/видео.html
