Frank Dmani maybe, but do they listen to us? They really don’t care what we have to say. I think when she laughed at him he realized our concerns are nothing but a joke to them. They don’t live in the real world but wanna tell us how to live. Yes, it would have been more respectful but I think he’s feeling as frustrated as the rest of us by these government leaders that live in million $ mansions and fly on private planes while lecturing us on our carbon footprint. It’s just frustrating and even if he’d had a 2 sided conversation with her it wouldn’t have changed her mind. This actually may have made a slight impact on her and gave her something to think about... like, hmmm... I think people are really mad about these agendas... just my thought on it. But I see your point too😊

John Doe Not sure if you ever went, but scholarships only pay for a portion of your schooling and there are only so many of those handed out. And not everyone wants to get out of school with a huge debt hanging over their heads, and not everyone wants to default on their loans. Your attitude is unfortunately a prime example of exactly why this father was mad. He’s being penalized when others are making irresponsible decisions and getting promised a free ride for it.
Somehow in spite of the fact he talked over her in anger, his anger was understood...and I got his point.
@luis martinez This man is complaining that Elizabeth Warren would forgive student loans. The man is upset because he sacrificed and worked extra jobs to pay for his daughter's college costs so she would not have to take loans. He feels that people who do not or would not bother to save money for their children's college costs would be rewarded by their loans being forgiven, while he who paid in full, would not get any of the money he spent for his daughter's college back. I think it is straight forward.
The thing is Liz has spoken enough and its time for her to listen.
I think the reason the man just walked away from Warren is because he was disgusted with her judgment, and fully convinced that her intentions were not pure (pandering) or that she simply was not capable of relating to or caring about his point. But he still wanted to let her have it-which I applaud.

That dad is 100% correct!! My family is in the exact same situation.....a couple decades of scrimping, saving, and doing without....so we could stay out of college debt for BOTH my wife and daughter!! This college debt forgiveness is total bull$hit...I want my tax money BACK!!
You should have used that money to start a business. Why even waste your money college. "Scrimping, saving, and doing without." You probably should have fixed that. And it's not too late unless you're like 70 years old. I dropped out of school with only 3k debt. I wanted to go to law school but I realized none of it was worth it. I'm 25 now.
Mullatto Johnny We all have very successful careers WITHOUT college (or any other) debt. It’s very possible if you’re extremely careful with your $$.
Listen , I'm that dad. There is only a small amount of time to talk to someone like this. You don't get a dialogue, she rushed me off. She had no intention of having a conversation. I went there not to be in a debate but to have her tell me to my face . I didn't record it , I wasn't in it for fame just to get a straight answer and make my point.

They are laughing. I know a guy who's ok with welfare, and insists he's smarter than me because I have to give up all my time, but he gets by just the same, with not much of a loss in his mind.
I used to be pissed at people who used the welfare system for a easier life but as time passes I think they made the correct choice I now blame the system and government not the people taking advantage of a broken system.

Socialism often leads to underachievement by putting the onus of personal responsibility on the state rather than the individual.
If he didn't have such an easy way out, then he may have contributed to society. Who knows, maybe even helped in some sort of worldly advancement in some way. But not anymore...
Even though I don't blame some for falling victim to the easy way, I'm also about personal responsibility. These people know they are being louses, and have made their choice.

Community college is quite cheap as well. You don't have to go to Yale, Harvard or Duke university to get a degree.
Exactly, besides the country is in over $20trillion of debt. Wars and bailing out big corporations will increase the debt anyway. The country’s screwed for the future. Student loans are a small part of it

I’m on his side for sure. It’s like buying a house you can’t afford, but instead of going bankrupt you get free real estate paid for by the government and ultimately by the people, where as someone else who didn’t go overboard is stuck with his tiny house and leaves all of this empty handed...
My parents were too busy taking care of my brother who died from cancer following a 6 year long battle. They had no choice but to foreclose on a mostly paid off house as my mother spent most of her time at the hospital with my brother and could not work. My Father is a disabled military vet but did what he could and would often work until 10 at night trying to Bonus in bill collections which he did almost every month to pay the rent on an apartment. We all have our own stories. I am happy that this man was lucky enough so that working long hours and not taking vacations or buying cars made it possible for the man to save for college. I am thankful for my parents who did just that while slowly losing a child just to get by. My brother died at 9 and its been 15 years now and financially we are all doing quite a bit better. My Father is the owner of his own tour business and my mother went to college to become a nurse. Should a country as great as the United States be so unfair when it comes to the opportunity to get an education? I am not asking for my own debt to be paid off but while working with people who have disabilities ive met many extremely hard working families that were just unlucky and did not have a chance to save. So their children are stuck with college debt while another young adult whose family did not face the same hardships while having equally hard working parents will not have debt. This guy crying was lucky that nothing happened that would result in the emptying of his savings and i hate how he talks negatively about parents who "did not do the right thing". He does not see his own privilege.

In the UK to go into an old people’s home with nurse care, you’re expected to sell your assets and pay for it yourself. But if you’ve been on benefits you’re whole life you get free accommodation and free care. Imagine how devastating to the people in the care home watching their life savings and their kids inheritance disappear while the person next to them who had never worked is being given the same service for free.
I paid off my student loans in June 2018. I’ll be waiting for my check.

I am getting screwed by compounded interest of my school loans.
The best way to deal with it is, get the pot used to write off the debt and share it to every parent that way everyone gets a bit of the cake. But the question is then how far do you go back!!

Apocalypse Meow it’s not written off it’s PAID for by tax payers. The money comes from someone else.. say your next door neighbor. Btw go ask your neighbor right now for $100 for a new computer chair or your next car payment and tell me how it goes.
It is paid with the taxes of the people who WORK. I am paying my own education and I would rather have my taxes back to keep paying my own thing than paying a lazy ass's tuition.

Assuming he's even telling the truth. By walking away, he lost credibility to me. The underlying problem is that nobody should be burdened with the astronomical debt individuals incur because they want an education. A small amount of debt, and nobody would probably complain, but the current system is out of control. Bring back generous grants to help students get an education. That would probably be a better solution.
Truth dart, life isn't fair. If you cannot afford to go to a big college DONT GO TO A BIG COLLEGE. I get that some people can't afford college, but college isn't required to get a good paying job. Community colleges are a good option and cheap, I'm going to one currently

What is the point of all these analyses? Of course she will feel nerves when some unshaved guy with a leather jacket gets angry at her. This youtube channel pretends to analyse human behaviour and pretends to offer solutions to the aggressiveness of others, but in reality it justs celebrates agressiveness. You could also have presented this confrontation as a breach of courtesy, end of story. Why does a presidential candidate have to prove herself to a guy who gets so aggressive? By always overanalysing ridiculous aggressive behaviour you are normalising this behaviour. Unfortunately aggressive behaviour is obviously part of the normal american interaction. Wild west mentality I guess. Who flinches first?
