I'd be down with that if I could stay the same age, but I can't even imagine what hurts when you're 150!
Great fun!
@@OperaLars Glad you like it!
@@voicelessondotcom I'd bet money that you'd still sound amazing at 150 years old!
@@MichaelLeavyJr And I'd bet you 'd have 8 more kids by then!
Much appreciation for all of your inspiration and hours of free vocal warm ups. Very generous of you.
40 minute commute to and from work. Couldn't think of a way to spend it better. You are definitely part of my morning rituals
Make sure to play drums on that steering wheel!
I love you, Mark! Amazing video as always.
Keep it spicy, Ken!
What an awesome vocal workout Mark. Your vocal warmups, tips and techniques have totally improved my vocals. Your videos have really made an impact on my singing. This vocal warmup routine is brilliant. Thanks Mark
Glad you're putting the videos to good use!
I love all your funny, kind, bright pro human messages in there. Just found your channel yesterday and my voice is already very grateful. Thank you so much for all your work :D

How fun, Maestro! I'm reminded of the fun of some of the Frank Zappa songs while doing this. ☺

Mark, i had to stop at the end because i started laughing so hard. You gotta stop being so funny I’m trying to learn how to sing 😂
Ha! Singing is too important to take seriously!
Yay! I love this so much! It’s exactly what I needed to help bridge the exercises I do to the music I want to sing- and it’s fun 🤩 🎉
Great - glad you like it!
Brilliant! A new Mark Baxter warmup routine - love it! And it came along just when I was wondering how to get more tonal variation in a song I'm working on. Thank you Mark - I really appreciate you sharing this! ❤

Thanks Mark! Always GREAT
Glad you liked it!
You're always talking about the scalp not tensing. Last night after this warm up, I was hitting way higher notes darker than normal, loose, slack jaw, dancing, and suddenly my scalp started getting all spastic for the first time ever. It was weird, but I recovered. Thanks, Mark!
One by one you can achieve the muscle independence that allows for a wide spectrum of tonal choices. You'll get there!
I'm discovering that it's about accentuating certain harmonics over others. Almost like playing a chord with your cords, if you know what I mean. Singing E1, for instance, calls for more E1 fry, a quiet E2 in chest, and a good sound engineer. E5 you need a dark sound but with more of a blowfish thing and a drawn back tongue. E6 requires whistling. Can't do that - yet. But it's interesting how I can create a darker sadder quality by stressing the minor 3rd overtone up the octave over the major 3rd right there, for instance. Not sure the numbers are right, but hopefully I'm on the right track.@@voicelessondotcom
I will try this

fun! is this something you could do right out of bed or would another warm up necessary?
This can absolutely be first up. Just use how you feel as the guide and adjust your volume and range accordingly.
May the Funk be with you. (And remember, folks: Never force it--FUNK IT!)
Love your work Mark!
