- My new Solar signature model is here! This one is on the budget side but it is not budget in tone at all! Sick new Killerbucker pickup that I helped develop with the Solar guys is tight and chuggy af. Sick gloss Silverburst finish with a black satin neck for effortless riffing and ripping.

Love the silver burst. Might have to pull the trigger on this g model. I have a few solar guitars kicking around here, kind of prefer the non locking tuners. My hangers like to un-screw the high string lock. replaced some of them with Schaller m6 top lockers. Bridge pickup sounds wicked.

What does "It's an import model pickup" mean? Solar is a Swedish company that produces their guitars in Spain. It's all import to USA isn't it? What's the pickup made of? Also, sidenote, I think there's some auto-correct typos in your video description.
My 2 other signature Solar guitars come with Seymour Duncan pickups which are made in the US. This is in direct reference to that.
@@killertone But you film in Texas, right? For you the guitar is an import but the pickups are domestic, if im understanding it correctly.
@@josefpdx Most Solar guitars come with pickups designed by Seymour Duncan (a US brand), hence "Duncan Solar" pickups (which are import versions of the Custom 5 and '59, or the Alternative 8, if you get a "plus" model). Jason uses the Duncan "Black Winter" bridge pickup, so to make things logistically easier (and more cost effective), Solar Guitars made a new "import" bridge pickup based on the "Black Winter", but under the Duncan Solar name.
@JDavidFall Seymour Duncan pick-ups are made in Santa Barbara, California.
