thanks kristy for introducing us to felicia ..it is refreshing to see not only a woman entrepreneur, but a woman of color that is into fiber....it has been my experience that women of color are seldom seen at yarn stores or major yarn events, while i lived in north carolina, i would go to SAFF or to knit nights and would be the only woman of color ...this went on for years ...thanks again, kristy for being such a gracious spirit and bring out the best of all of us ...regardless of race, or gender ...you rock ..
My mom is a knitter and I have been going to yarn stores since I️ was about 3 to 4 years all and I’m now 58 a knitter and crocheter.. I️ saw Very very few woman of color if any for most of my life in lys. I️ see things changing a little but still not much and not really sure why.
OMG, Kristy, what a wonderful lady Felicia is! This was so much fun watching and very inspiring! I am always at awe when I hear stories like hers, since I, myself don't master the courage to start something like this! Thank you for introducing us to Stringthingstudio! Lovely!
Oh my goodness! What a great life you're leading Felicia! So many ways to follow your passion and at this point the string (love that your mom is over your shoulder in all of it) is leading the way. I am so impressed! IF, and sadly it's a big if, I ever get to visit NYC again, I will make sure to head to your shop. I've decided that my goal with the online knitting community is to find people who I would love to sit and have a cuppa tea with while sharing our stories and knitting. You are definitely someone who I would love to meet. Thank you Kristy for this wonderful interview.
I loved this so much that I watched it twice! I love Felicia's energy and those red chairs!! Those red chairs are amazing. I know her shop is going to do well, it's just so gorgeous. I love her knitting journey and how much she just cares for her mother's spirit. I feel my mother's spirit when I craft, too. Love it, Kristy. Thank you for another great interview.
That was completely joyous. I didn't want it to end. I'm hoping so much you will be able to go back for an update, or do a new segment on yarn selection for yarn shops... or just anything to experience the energy between you two ladies, again. I'll be re-watching this video, for sure. At the start I sat there with a big grin on my face, then went through all the feelings and, as mentioned above, ended with feeling so uplifted. I'm so happy we didn't have to wait until December to see the video. Brava! More, more!
Thanks a lot, ladies. You gave me another store to want to visit on a future trip. I have to admit, having watched this I’m really so homesick for my Brooklyn days. That’s a good thing. Wishing you both continued success.
Loved the interview- loved the yarn shop and hearing Felicia's journey. Thank you Kristy for your interview style and interviewee selections. Such cool places and people in NY. On my list when I visit NY. Bye Felicia!
I just love your interviews Kristy! Last Sunday, I had a Kristy Glass RUclips Marathon from sun to to sun down and there are still videos that I haven't gotten the chance to watch! I'm a crocheter by heart, but I find myself draen to knitting (trying to knit) more each day. I can't wait to go to String Things Studio and meet Felicia. Maybe tomorrow, rain or shine! Kristy, thank you for sharing your time, love and energy! Dawn aka My Sweet Inspirationz on IG. :)
I loved this video! The energy between the two of you was great! Felicia feels like a girlfriend so, friendly and down to earth. Congratulations on your new yarn store. I wish you much success as you begin this next phase of your life. I need to plan a visit.
Hello from Buffalo!!!! So happy for all you've become...but also a little sad that you're not doing it here! Loved both of your energy...another great interview...
What fun! This was such an enjoyable visit. Wish that I lived near String Thing. And totally agree you should go back some time in the future for an update. Wishing her all the best.
Felecia it was so wonderful to talk to you! Waiting for that podcast my Sister! Remember you are so amazing and so loved! Your private Behaviorist ;) !!!
I've been thinking of a family trip to NYC (we live outside of Austin, TX, kinda country-ish), and this will be one of the sight seeing stops along with all the other usual stuff :) I always love seeing your videos in the city. It looks like so much fun, and you have access to so many cool & different places compared to where I am.
Love her little yarn shop and her story :) I think I am retired as well coz I knit, dye, design all day everyday so I am a happy retired lady! he..he.. xx
This was my FAVORITE of all of your interviews and I have enjoyed them all. How can i get back up to NYC so I can come visit this store? Maybe a mother/daughter trip.

Kristy Glass you have found your calling. You can talk and interview and chat with anyone and bring who they are to the surface. You make us feel like we have met them personally. Thanks. :)
I love the stories of women in their 40s and 50s hitting their stride. And when Felicia said "I've lived so many lives." that resonated hard with me!

thanks kristy for introducing us to felicia ..it is refreshing to see not only a woman entrepreneur, but a woman of color that is into fiber....it has been my experience that women of color are seldom seen at yarn stores or major yarn events, while i lived in north carolina, i would go to SAFF or to knit nights and would be the only woman of color ...this went on for years ...thanks again, kristy for being such a gracious spirit and bring out the best of all of us ...regardless of race, or gender ...you rock ..
giney Cynical thank you! Why is that the case??
not sure why ...i have often pondered this myself ....i think some people think lys are too expensive ....or don't appreciate them ....
My mom is a knitter and I have been going to yarn stores since I️ was about 3 to 4 years all and I’m now 58 a knitter and crocheter.. I️ saw Very very few woman of color if any for most of my life in lys. I️ see things changing a little but still not much and not really sure why.
i dont want to make this an issue of race ..but i'm really glad to see a woman of color in business that is highly not represented in our culture.
OMG, Kristy, what a wonderful lady Felicia is! This was so much fun watching and very inspiring! I am always at awe when I hear stories like hers, since I, myself don't master the courage to start something like this! Thank you for introducing us to Stringthingstudio! Lovely!
