This still is one of my favourite VoicePlay songs (admittedly, I do have very many favourites, but this one would still count as top of the tops 😊). I have chills all the way through. It was nice seeing your reaction and hearing your thoughts about it, as always!
I think this one was their first, or at least one of the first, attempts at their now-signature "Epic Style" covers, so yeah it might be a bit slower at times, but still very impressive and wonderful-sounding!
And why shouldn’t Layne be the star? It’s about time to recognize that. That was a working warehouse that came with the graffiti. (I don’t know if they had to remove or cover any like they had to on the Dream On set.) the whole time they were shooting, there was a machinist at the other end doing lathe work on huge pipe fittings. The violin J used here was the one Layne used for the Nothing Else Matters. But both were cheap ones. He used his own personal instrument to record. On Nothing Else Matters, they filmed Layne doing the beat boxing while he was playing the violin, but it looked funny so they didn’t use it. He did both parts here also.
That arrangement is one of my top favorites from VoicePlay, it's one that makes me sing every time I watch the video! I love the violin and how it makes a lot of sense and obviously Layne plays it great!. And I love Earl's and Eli's high notes, too.
Great reaction - except for that "underwhelming" part. LOL Like so much of the work that they do, I was totally unfamiliar with this piece. I guess it's because I'm really old. Doesn't matter that I didn't know it, it's Voiceplay and they can do anything and I will love it.
Whenever I see reactors seeming unimpressed at the start of a VP video, I always think "just wait." LOL
And they usually stop the video just before the song gets really impressive.
Haha, that was definitely true for us in this video… guilty as charged!! 🤣🤣
When Eli does his rock screams I get chills!
You and I both! 😍

Thanks so much for watching and commenting, Veronica! ❤

That sounds about right! If anything, it also shows how much they’ve matured and improved over the last two or so years! 🔥
It took advice from Kevin for Layne to understand how to beat box and play at the same time.
The set is the inside of a warehouse
Layne “consulted” with Kevin on this? Cool!! 😍
Apparently the violin is one of the hardest instruments to play and Layne is superb. I never found anything about this underwhelming it just builds up
You’re right, I said “underwhelming” too soon, since the song definitely builds up towards the end! 🤩

Ooh, interesting facts! And yes, we all could use a little bit more Layne from time to time! 🔥
Warriors was used as the theme for the live action ‘Sweet Home’ TV series. The lyrics lend themselves to survival stories.
Interesting! I see it pop up on Netflix from time to time but never got around to watching it, LOL 😆

The violins definitely take the song to the next level! 🤩
@@ZhenYaoYin of course!
Nope, that "dang" wasn't E1. It was a fourth lower.
DAAAAAANG 🔥

Don't know how old "really old" is but I can probably match it. I've known this one for quite some time. :)
LOL, you’re right though, I called the first chorus “underwhelming” too soon, since the second chorus sounded properly epic! 🔥
