@Thesagga That's precisely why I stopped going to the clubs back in 1998; they never play any Finitribe, Z'EV, Throbbing Gristle, Neubauten, SPK, etc. I always hear some super-dancy regurgitation of another band that came out 4 years prior that is NOT actual "industrial" and it became cliquy. I have a diverse taste in music myself...ESPECIALLY old-school rap (N.W.A., Chi Ali, Ice T, Lighter Shade of Brown, etc..), even Cocteau Twins, Shiina Ringo, Ofra Haza, etc. Send me an mp3 of your work!
@Thesagga Can't wait to hear it dude! I freestyle myself, actually. When I went to go see ohGr with a friend of mine, we smoked a joint in the line-up (I'm from Vancouver, so smoking weed in a line-up is all good!) and once I was high I just started free-styling...in my black knee-high boots, spiky under-cut hair, and black & silver sparkly scarf. LMFAO!!! I even got to meet Nivek Ohgr and Dave "Rave" Ogilvie that night on the tour bus!! :D
@Galasholet What's wrong with Ofra Haza? She had a powerful & versatile voice and was applauded for her talents by many great American musicians at the time (Madonna being one of them).
@erectacocky lol! I would really like to do a rap battle, actually! I never have before. They seem fun. A lot of rappers who rap battle can't freestyle off the cuff though. Regarding the new cybergoth scene, I don't even go to "industrial/goth" themed club nights anymore. There's no point cuz they'll never play what I like. I've started going to some drone/noise nights they have here in Vancouver. I've gotten into the newer local experimental scene here in Van too.
@llilium No, I think I'm too old to be a hipster. That, and my shades aren't big enough, I don't have a shaggy beard, and my friends are not memes of things past. It's alright for people to like more than 1 style of music, ya know? I'd identify myself as a rivethead, if anything. Definitely not a hipster, as hipsters themselves wouldn't see me as a hipster. I wear knee-high black boots with ripped blue jeans, spiky hair, fitted black jackets, leather jackets, etc. Very early mid-80's rivethead.
The term was classically to describe early acts like cabaret Voltaire ministry front 242 and has changed over time... aggro industrial bez my jam. Everyone's music sucks BTW. It's relative to the listeners... "I don't like it"is a much classier way to say that....
@angelforfreedom well, you're right, dont believe that stuff, I dont know what you hear but I am sure it's different from the way things are. you should come visit here if you have the money and the time, there are alot of pretty places and intersting stuff going on =) there is always tension but nothing special, anyways, cheers !
@Thesagga Yeah...but who cares really? If the rivethead vibe flows through your blood and it's who you iz then who gives a shit what some band says about it being "dead". I'd rather be myself than try to "fit in" to something that's presently commercially "relevant". Would you REALLY wanna grow a beard, dress like Where's Waldo, and wear sneakers like you wore when you were 9 years old just to "fit in" to the latest electro scene? I'd much rather be happy on my own terms by just being myself. :)
The picture isn't from cyanotic ? Just an answer, i'm not an cyanotic fan and I'm sure I have see this picture on one of their album, but it can be a mistake.
I'm not a big fan of Laibach because of their pseudo-Nazi obscurity. I'm much more of a fan of bands that were tied to the label Industrial Records; a label started out by the founding members Throbbing Gristle and Monte Cazazza, etc. It was Monte Cazazza who had coined the term of the music genre by saying "industrial music for industrial people".
@Galasholet Cool! Hope the political situation down there in Israel is going better these days, dude. I'm in Canada so our news & media is always filtered through the American propaganda and England's bias, so I don't always trust the things they say regarding int'l affairs. Cheers dude!
This song by RJ is like a demented version of MSI but it's catchy and hilarious, and I love it!
Now MSI is a band I miss!
I'm a big fan of Industrial but I think this song is hilarious and true. The clubs never play any of the new music.
For anyone that didn't know: they released a remaster of this song a couple days ago on Bandcamp
LETS FUCKING DANCE
Step aside bitches, I'm here to dance!
*proceeds to dance untill my shins crack in half*
Break shins to this
*PROCEEDS TO BREAK SHINS TO THIS*
It just needs an enema... :D
Agreed.

That's cool, although you got his name wrong.
Whoa! A reference to Seattle! Washington nod!
Очень необычно звучит, чем то напоминает mindless self indulgence) 😈🔥☢️⚙️🏭🤘
So fucking awesome! The background rocks so much and then the sweet girl voice; so badass!!!!

It was a Glitch Mode demo/sampler, that symbol has since been annexed by Cyanotic, because Sean Payne owns the rights to it.

Google says: "h0rd3z ov thee el33t"
You might be able to buy it off of Glitch Mode Records but I'm not sure
