I'd love to see extra episodes to these series of you actually cooking with the food and seeing how long it really lasted and how full/hungry your were by the end of the day.
Hey Anna, thanks for your comment. Many viewers have requested something similar, but we have found it isn't that practical to cover eating a week's worth of food in a video, and so we did an example day with the Asda weekly shop we bought for £30. You can see it here ruclips.net/video/ExvOEgQsQPQ/видео.html 😃
We are empty nesters but that budget wouldn’t do a thing for us. My hubby is an eater. Not obese, just eats a lot! It’s around $9 gallon for organic 2% milk here in USA. It’s the only one I can use due to medical issues. I don’t use a lot of milk but it lasts longer than the cheap milk without going out of date too fast. I cook a lot of multi-meal recipes ( more than 1 day ) so that helps. It also depends on his job. We own a construction company and he works hard & heavy for a ridiculous amount of hours. He burns a lot of calories and energy. I think 30£ would be a daily or 3 day budget.
I'd love to see a weekly food shop of only reduced sticker items! To see how much you can actually get, variety, etc. And if reduced sticker items are actually cheaper than essential ranges (best to go in the evening)
When I worked in Swiss Centre Leicester Square they supplied the Truffles for Harrods and the Quiche you saw is so fresh they were made overnight at my time by specially trained bakers and also had real Swiss chocolatiers making the cakes etc
Im not sure if Fortnum and Mason do food but would be interesting to see if you could get enough to eat for a few days for you both x Also you could do 24 hours eating only at Harrods. Those Little cakes and stuff looked amazing :)
Yes we're pretty sure Fortnum and Mason do food. We should definitely try the food shopping challenge there :) We would love to eat at Harrods for 24 hours, that would be a dream 😋💚
Family Freedom!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! FreeGang! Yay!!! Commenting to you #LIVEbutNOTLIVE from South Carolina, USA (East Coast). Another video, "yes, yes, yes!" Your videos are like McDonald's... "I'm lovin' it!" Thank you for taking the time to post. You are appreciated. Just like the number of folks included in the FreeGang... #JustKeepRising!
great idea to do this video and i love the idea you had of a meal challenge harrods v aldi or liddle or rogers that could be interesting regarding taste. such a stunning store Harrods even if not able to shop there it truly looked inviting and delicious. olive & rosemary sough dough is my favourite. love to you all keep the videos coming best regards ben ♥
I love Harrods food halls. I go there every time I go to london. I can say in all honesty I have never spent less than £100 in there and still got got enough to make a full meal. But hey you pay for the name and experience of Harrods. You can get the same quality in Waitrose which is a fabulous store. I can’t see you can live a week on you shop 😂
Brilliant video guys. Its not a surprise to see how expensive it is at Harrods. But like you way it would be nice for treats for a day out. I think you should do another video there but no budget just selecting so many items you fancy trying. Maybe 12 items for 12 days of Christmas.
We love the Harrods' food hall. My grandma took me there when I was really young and when me and my daughter go to London we often buy a little picnic in there and go and eat it in Regents Park. My daughter rates the lobster sandwhich, she said it was the best sandwhich she ever ate. The prices are silly, but it's ok occasionally to really treat yourself. Last time we went we took my daughter's friend too and she was thrilled with the picnic. I wouldn't try and do a weekly shop there, maybe if you're on a starvation diet it's possible. £1 for one easy pealer, lol.
Have Katie make a dinner with cheap ingredients and another with expensive ingredients then have Bob and Jojo try to pick the expensive one vs cheapest dinner.
It's fun to see how excited you both get when shopping for food. I can relate and that store looked fabulous. The treat section alone I would be ecstatic for. It would be great to see a go crazy at Harrods no budget for a week worth, what would the final amount be and definitely a taste test because that food looked amazing. 🥰😋
I had a friend go visit family in London and she'd got to go to Harrods with her daughter and granddaughters and when she came back home she'd got me several aprons there and so special chocolate and hot chocolate still have the apron thanks for sharing your shopping experience all looks delicious i would love trying the bread to toasted and the cream cheese can't wait for your next challenge take care and Just Keep Rising from Montana 👆💚.
Loved this video. Love Harrods, you can walk around and be chilled. I have to agree Katie....love the toilets. I have a confession to make...quite a big confession, I don't know what came over me but in B&M this week I saw a tinned food item and yes I did go BBBEEEEAAAAANNNNZZZZ. Its OK I think its out of my system now.....or is it? Love you Guys xxx
Thank you so much for the reply. Next thing would be Pakistani, Indian corner shop stores. That be very interesting. Family of five three kids all boys 12/9/7 and my monthly spend average is £90 for breakfast lunch dinner snacks and extras.
Lol I can beat the mushrooms, years ago I had a breakfast at Newcastle Airport and I asked for what I thought was extra mushrooms for £1.50, nope it was mushroom for £1.50 and lo and behold I got 1 mushroom on my plate.
It never makes sense to me that some stores will sometimes place the shelf stable milks in the cooler section, bc once it is cooled down they recommend that you keep it cool. That defeats the purpose of it being shelf stable, bc it has to be cooled from the start and what you if have to travel a piece before getting it back in refrigeration. Just puzzles me why they some would do that.
No more “Katie’s tip of the day” more like “Katie’s toilet review of the day” I don’t think I’ve ver been to Harrods but now I want to go as it just seem so magical (even without the Christmas stuff) and just the theme of everything is so lovely and just cool. I’d be worried that overspend in there Katie seemed so existed and passionate about this special shop it was so wonderful to see. We need more people like Katie (and Bob too) It was crazy to see the amount of food you got for the price compared to other videos even non-budget shops. Katie is right, go there for the experience and a few special buys #freegang #livebutnotlive #freedomfamily #justkeeprising 💚💚
Aw thank you so much for your kind words Milly 😊 You should definitely take a trip down to London and spend a day in Harrods, you would absolutely love it. Even if you don't buy much, maybe just some food, it such a nice experience 💚
I live in the United States and the area where I live a regular cucumber here is $.78 currently and an English cucumber which is what you are holding would be $.98. However we would never be able to get carrots that cheap
And people here in the States think that Whole Foods, Gelson's, Earth Fare, & Harris-Teeter are expensive grocery stores! Those aren't compared to the grocery hall located inside of Harrod's in the UK!!
I liked how they had the little vegan signs on the tags. With all the products they have, it makes it easier to find things, otherwise you might have been there all day lol 😂😂. Starting (again) my vegan journey next month. Hopefully I can stick to it this time. Would love to see a farmer's market edition of this challenge
Good luck on your vegan journey again next month Annette, we hope it goes well, just do your best 🤗 We are looking for a good value market at the moment, fingers crossed we find one 💚
And also you should do a different content which dont relate food.. you should do a Halloween haul on a budget at like b and m / homebargains or anywhere and do a decorate with you guys:)🥰or a Halloween food shop . As its near festive season🥳🎉❤xx
Wow super amazing experience and wasn't surprised with the amount you got. Since, I get lot's of food recommendation/haul video's I came across Haway to the kitchen where the lady shows the products she will be using for that particular meal and then shows a picture of the meal. I know you said it was difficult for you to film a full weekly what you eat, so maybe worth checking that channel or just taking pictures to show what you made and the quantity etc. Hope your having a lovely Sunday tc x
Jeez 30 pounds for a bar of chocolate im a massive choclote fan but would rather spend 1.25 on a aero mint bar than 30 pounds on a choclote bar which probably isnt as fine lol im from scotland so never been to harids but was nice to see it on youre video. Hope youre all well? We have just had a massive storm past few days in scotland so its nice to wake up to calm weather again.
I hope you enjoyed the challenge and yes some of the things you got are cheap which is a great deal and some of it maybe expensive . I hope you having a great weekend and I was busy organising my birthday party a couple of weeks ago and now it’s finally here next Sunday afternoon and I have got my friends coming over to celebrate it with me and the next day is my actual birthday and I hope you guys wish me a happy birthday and finally I’ll be 20 by 1:30 pm and I also have karate 🥋 as well in the evening after I get myself ready and organise my stuff and head out to get there and scan my card and walk to put my bag down and take off my shoes and put my karate shoes on and take off my jacket and talk to some of my mates before my class starts at 7 pm till 8:30 and then I head out of the hall and get in the car to go get my dinner and then I’m at home and then get ready for bed.
If it was me doing the challenge I would've faltered at the mangosteens and just bought them lol Just for context in Aus only a few months ago we were paying about GBP8.30 for strawberries (500g) out of a regular supermarket (nothing upmarket like Harrods). Thankfully they are around GBP2.00 now(or get organic ones for free from my garden). Organic carrots on the other hand are around an eye watering GBP3.20 a kg (or I pull them from my garden again). The cucumber you were holding is called a Continental is some parts of AUS and a Telegraph in other parts sets you back whopping GBP0.95 (primarily because it's out of season). Shopping at Harrods for groceries would be fun for a treat or meeting up with someone or even just to buy a niche product.
Thank you for your lovely comment Helen, sorry for late reply we're just catching up on some comments that we accidentally missed :) We're always very interested to know how much food costs in different parts of the world. Glad the cost of strawberries has gone down, we hope the prices of other fruit and veg goes down again too. :) Amazing that you are growing your own food, we grew tomatoes and potatoes this year but we'd love to grow more next year 💚🤗
£8 for strawberries?!?!?! Noooooo way! That's just mad. Back home in NZ, a punnet is $8.69 (about there) at the moment. £8 = $16 in my currency, holy heck!!!
I think with this sort of challenge at somewhere more expensive it would be much better to have no budget and just see what sort of weekly shop you can get.
*Breathtaking and a Food shopping haul - That has to be on a bucket list and is personally on mine 👌👌👌🔥🙌*. *Must watch* How about a small trolley each- husband and wife luxury food shopping for under a hundred ?or something similar. This was super extra awesome watching
Katie bob and jo jo I don`t know if you have already done this or if if would be possible but you could try doing a weeks food shop for £30 at a service station or petrol station challenge
Expensive there 😏 how much for a cake 😱😱 oh my gosh ... But Once again you guys never seem to fail and put out such great content no matter what you doo ❤.. you didnt take your baby human calculator JoJo with you guys🙈🙈 but hopefully hes having fun whichever hes doing:). ❤ nd looks like your living on Carrots for the week cheapest thing there hah🤣🤣 ridiculous. Aaw loves to you guys❤ . Brave in going there as looks like a shop for billionaires 🥺🥺 🥺 .❤ Stay Safe , Keep up the great work:) xxxx
Gosh I feel like you could barely get a day out of that! I feel like Harrods is not a good budget option I know family fizz did a 24 hour challenge only eating there maybe you could do something similar so you could try all the yummy bits! Also would love to visit Harrods purely for that chocolate spot with actual gluten free chocolates :O! I dont know if its common in the UK but in Ireland a lot of places will have international supermarkets like an asian supermarket or eastern european and I find them really cheap and often have some really good vegan & gluten free options! I recently got Violife slices in my local eastern european one and they had gouda & edam which I had never seen and was so excited about haha i may have bought 6 packets hahaha but maybe them kind of places would make for a great budget video option :D! And for 90p I would expect an easy peeler to peel itself hahahaha
Hi Family Freedom…..hope you guys are having a great weekend….😊….Have you tried doing you’re £30 food shopping challenge in…Company Shop….yet….🤔….they are a charity based company who stock big brands at lower prices….they are really worth checking out…😊
Hey Gareth, thanks for your comment 👍 We just looked up Company Shop and they look great so we'll be checking them out for sure! Thanks for the suggestion 😃
Hi family freedom hope you are well and having a good day! I read the thumbnail and was like oh my😂😂😂I didn't expect harrods !! Let me guess you'll be doing fortnum and masons next!?😂 How many times I said omg to the prices in the video! My kept swearing when she saw the price of certain foods😂😂it was quite funny. I just thought there's a shop called whole foods there's ones in london maybe you could do a challenge there! Not sure if you have allready done it as lost track of all the supermarkets you have been too😂 (Sorry my bad I realised you done whole foods already😭ill stick to fortnums as my suggestion 😂) I do like harrods emerald green colour on the logo,i want to go to harrods to experience it and to carry a poundland bag or something to see if they react differently 😂😂 my mum won't let me go as she's scared as I'll break something 😂😂oopsie😂 P.s my mum says hello. Take care, have a good day:) Just keep rising💚🌻🌿
Hi Lana, we hope you're well and are having a good day too 👍 Sorry for the late reply, we're just catching up on some comments that we accidentally missed 😋 YES we will be going to Fortnum & Mason soon - that is a GREAT suggestion! And YES we will be going back to Whole Foods again - and maybe Harrods too! 😃 We agree that their emerald and gold logo is really nice, but also it would be fun to walk in there with a Poundland bag!!! 😂 Tell your mum we said hi, and that she is an absolute legend! Your comment about her swearing really made us laugh!!! 😂 Have a good day and just keep rising 💚🌻🌿
Very interesting video i use to livr south uk now near peak district i fancy for birthday train to harrods and spend all day harrods and after maybr new posh turkish restaurant near harrods. An old mate treated me to icecream with gold sprinkles ( icecream parlour/ cafe) i like the bread and never known about app or cofee place
Hi Paula :) Lots of people say it's just a lovely day out at Harrods, even if they don't buy much, they just enjoy the experience of being there. If you do go get a nice loaf of bead, the bread was absolutely delicious 😂

Hello Family Freedom hope you guys have a great weekend ❤
I am a foodie too and let me tell you my eyes were glued to this video. So many foods I would have loved to try.
Harrods food hall is a great place for a foodie 😋😋😋
Yes I would love to see a comparison with Harrods and heron😂 loved the basket holder,i would’ve used that too🫣
Loved watching this video you guys are so comforting when the world feels a bit crazy xxxx
That's such a kind thing to say 💚 Thank you so much Laura 🤗
I agree about the toilets - my favourite public toilets in the world!
I must admit as a IBS sufferer I do like a toilet review as it’s always helpful to know! X
Glad it was helpful! I think it says a lot about a place that has nice toilets 👌🚽
@@FamilyFreedom agree
Same x
Bob and katie, you have really nice kids. You also both have really nice eye colours. ❤
Ah thank you Alice that's really kind of you to say those things 😊
When I worked in Swiss Centre Leicester Square they supplied the Truffles for Harrods and the Quiche you saw is so fresh they were made overnight at my time by specially trained bakers and also had real Swiss chocolatiers making the cakes etc
That's interesting to know about Harrods, thanks for sharing 🤗
I can't believe you haven't been there before, living so close, it's such a fun free day out. The toy department is amazing too.
I know 🤣 We have to go to Harrods more often 😊
Really surprised you guys have never been there before. We love the food hall, we shop there once a month. we also live 20 minutes away.
We will definitely be going back very soon 🤗💚
Im not sure if Fortnum and Mason do food but would be interesting to see if you could get enough to eat for a few days for you both x
Also you could do 24 hours eating only at Harrods.

Hi Family Freedom and another awesome shopping challenge video. I am live not live from Scotland. Love 🥰 the video and love 💞 Katie, ❤Bob & Jojo.
Thanks David 👍🏴
great idea to do this video and i love the idea you had of a meal challenge harrods v aldi or liddle or rogers that could be interesting regarding taste.
such a stunning store Harrods even if not able to shop there it truly looked inviting and delicious. olive & rosemary sough dough is my favourite.
love to you all keep the videos coming best regards ben ♥
Great idea Ben, we're very excited to go back to Harrods for another food challenge 💚
Harrods is my guilty pleasure lol 😆
We can see why 👌💚
I love Harrod's videos, this one was unique 😊. Really enjoyed it.
Glad you enjoyed it Ann-Marie! 😃
This video made me hungry but I loved it
No wonder only the rich shop there but nice to treat once in a while
I find the videos where JoJo does the food shopping are better than these £30 videos.
I love Harrods food halls. I go there every time I go to london. I can say in all honesty I have never spent less than £100 in there and still got got enough to make a full meal. 11:37 I didn't know they sold crosstown doughnuts there! Not worth using the budget money, but are worth for a treat!
We would love to try one next time we are in Harrods 😋
If it was me doing the challenge I would've faltered at the mangosteens and just bought them lol
Just for context in Aus only a few months ago we were paying about GBP8.30 for strawberries (500g) out of a regular supermarket (nothing upmarket like Harrods).
Thank you for your lovely comment Helen, sorry for late reply we're just catching up on some comments that we accidentally missed :)
We're always very interested to know how much food costs in different parts of the world. Glad the cost of strawberries has gone down, we hope the prices of other fruit and veg goes down again too. :)
Amazing that you are growing your own food, we grew tomatoes and potatoes this year but we'd love to grow more next year 💚🤗
£8 for strawberries?!?!?! Noooooo way! That's just mad. Back home in NZ, a punnet is $8.69 (about there) at the moment. £8 = $16 in my currency, holy heck!!!
What ?????? I’m in Australia and strawberries are $3 a punnet up to $5
Cyprus potatoes are lovely
Thank you, we're excited to try them now 😀
I think with this sort of challenge at somewhere more expensive it would be much better to have no budget and just see what sort of weekly shop you can get.
Thanks Ruth :) That would be a great shopping challenge 👌🙂
My daughter lives for your shopping challenges 😂 it was interesting to see the stuff in Harrods!
I cannot even get my weekly food shop at Asda for £30.

Thank you for your lovely comment Lisa, you always make us smile 💚💚💚 Sending big love and stay safe too 🤗
Gosh I feel like you could barely get a day out of that!
Aside from the food will you guys be seeing the upcoming movie Godzilla Minus One on December 1st it’s from Japan
Maybe 🤔 Thanks for letting us know about it 👌
No Problemo
Also it will be in IMAX internationally not just in Japan 🇯🇵
Hi Family Freedom…..hope you guys are having a great weekend….😊….Have you tried doing you’re £30 food shopping challenge in…Company Shop….yet….🤔….they are a charity based company who stock big brands at lower prices….they are really worth checking out…😊

Whole foods is a good idea!
So is the Poundland bag.
Hi Lana, we hope you're well and are having a good day too 👍
Sorry for the late reply, we're just catching up on some comments that we accidentally missed 😋
YES we will be going to Fortnum & Mason soon - that is a GREAT suggestion! And YES we will be going back to Whole Foods again - and maybe Harrods too! 😃
We agree that their emerald and gold logo is really nice, but also it would be fun to walk in there with a Poundland bag!!! 😂
Tell your mum we said hi, and that she is an absolute legend! Your comment about her swearing really made us laugh!!! 😂
Have a good day and just keep rising 💚🌻🌿
@@FamilyFreedom no worries! I just told my mum, we both can't stop laughing now😂😂
Can you do more of those shopping videos of you finding markdowns
We definitely plan to 👍
I'm in Farnborough Hampshire
Very interesting video i use to livr south uk now near peak district i fancy for birthday train to harrods and spend all day harrods and after maybr new posh turkish restaurant near harrods. Never been there, I’ll go at some point but id want to get some nice bits so I’ll need plenty of 💷 probably need to save 😂
Hi Paula :) Lots of people say it's just a lovely day out at Harrods, even if they don't buy much, they just enjoy the experience of being there. If you do go get a nice loaf of bead, the bread was absolutely delicious 😂
You should go to M/S in Bluewater there got seals
Great suggestion 👌 Thanks 🤗
