    Many thanks for showing just what you can do with this underated? pedal.
    I bought one last year but wasn't too impressed by it. Now that you demonstrated it using the computer interface I can see and appreciate the vast possibilities with it. Seeing all the different types of effects available on each 'pedal' in the chain really helps. Great stuff!!! David

      Way under rated IMHO. This is a killer pedal for a great price and has a handy software editor making patch building a breeze!!!

    Great video - thanks for posting. Was looking at the Mooer GE100 as an option, but the computer interface sold me on the Hotone.

      LOVE This thing!! There is a new version for a bit more money called the AMPERO which is worth looking at!

    Does this pedal have pitch shifting (like a digitech whammy) type? thanks. Great video!!!

    • @techniqueswithtodd
      @techniqueswithtodd  5 лет назад +1

      Yes! There is a pitch shift module. This is a great unit but for a bit more I'd get an AMPERO which is the best unit I've ever tried.

    FINALLY! I've been looking for a good video on this unit and yours is perfect. The others don't show this much.

      Glad you like it!!!! Very handy bit of kit!!! Like a huge effects pedal stuffed in to something barely bigger than MEMORY MAN delay

    Can you use a Drive infront of the Amp in the effect chain? According to the Manual both are in the same effect block

    • @techniqueswithtodd
      @techniqueswithtodd  6 лет назад +1

      Yes! Well Sorta! You can use a BOOST in the "Pre FX" section! See Page 48 in the Manual! www.hotoneaudio.com/downloads/manual/Ravo/Ravo%20Manual.pdf

    I heard an excessive latency issue there? What's your opinion?

    • @techniqueswithtodd
      @techniqueswithtodd  2 года назад

      I never had any issues with latency. Was a very solid unit.

    Could you make the presets available for download?

    • @techniqueswithtodd
      @techniqueswithtodd  5 лет назад

      These are just Stock Presets, so they are already inside the unit!

    Hello,
    I've just got this one but i have an issue.
    Anyone uses this with headphones? I tried with Headphones but volume output is so low even all vol controls at the max. I tried other headphones also but still same.
    After i use with studio monitors i can get decent volume level but still not so loud. If i used another proccessor all neighbours would sue me. Now with with Hotone I have to crank full studio monitors volume output to get normal volume levels. I tried both outputs(headphones and normal output). Any thoughts?

    • @techniqueswithtodd
      @techniqueswithtodd  5 лет назад

      Each patch has it's own volume if I remember correctly. So you have the master volume and the patch volume. Use the editor and increase the patch volume :)

      @@techniqueswithtodd Yes i set all volume controls max (patch volume,amp modeling volume,cab volume all setted 99). i cant get enough volume level with headphones even some patches i hardly hear some tones. This happens on humbucker pickups. With single pickups with strat volume is almost none, even in tuner mod with strats it cant measure 1st and 2nd strings tune shows nothing.
      I updated latest firmware too...

      @@cicimatode3664 you may have a defective unit. I get wads of headphone volume. I usually have it on 4 as gets too loud. I'm using AKG headphones. Some is not right for sure. Maybe swap for a new one?

    Great video. Id like to know your opinion on whether this or a digitech rp360x would be a better buy. Is the sound quality very different? I get the sense that the Hotone produces more anaolog-sounding tones, but perhaps its just my imagination or that digitech presets are conservative compared with Hotone's intrepid presets. Also, are there features that are missing that would be common in similar pedals in the same price range? The "stompbox" mode (in which pedals dont change presets but rather turn on/off certain modules of the preset) is something I assume isnt included in this pedal, for example....

    • @techniqueswithtodd

      This kills the RP360x IMHO. The last Digitech Unit that I was impressed with was waaaay back with the GNX4.

    I would like to use this RAVO in my Orange Jim Root head, which has no clean channel. Could it work, if I use the head gain at a low level and use RAVO distortion plus the effects? My intention is to play thrash / death metal. The sound of your video is great, but all other RAVO videos are not. Was the sound of the video recorded directly or through an amplifier (RAVO + AMP + CAB)? Thank you.

      I’m using a Hotone 5 watt mojo diamond Mini head to a Randall 4x12 Cab with an SM57 mic. Most folks are just recording direct cause it’s easier. Sounds much better with an amp imho!! Should work great! I’m using stock presets! #hotone #thrash
