Hi Farm Dad: I love your Video. I have a similar situation as you described in your Video and short of pulling out the sensor on the window like you did, I tried to disable the zone for that window at the Control Panel and couldn't. The zone still shows that the window is open. Any ideas on how to do that? I'd like to temporarily disable the zone until such time that I can trouble shoot what caused either the contact to show open or if a wire is broken/cut by some rat in the ceiling. ..Thanks

I'm afraid I'm not very knowledgeable about all the different control panels. Best advice I can give is to find a manual online for yours and see what it says. You could pull the sensor and just connect the two wires together to bypass it until you get the parts you need to fix it. Good luck!

This may be late but you should be able to bypass a non-working zone using the keypad. I had an Ademco system-you had to enter the code then push 8 for bypass and then the 2 digit zone number. In your case it would've been 06. The zone should remain bypassed until the next time it is disarmed. I'm not familiar with the DSC system which is what I believe yours is. Nice instructional video for the DIY.

How about listing the part numbers of the sensors that would be a great help. Thanks for the video

Welcome. It varies based on the type of alarm system you have.
