The technical aspects and attention to detail of the subway sequence and all the effects-as dated as it may have been, was still very enjoyable. Universal really needs a huge rethink on what franchises are worthy of an attraction and what those rides should compromise of. The screen experience is very, very reductive.

That scene about 1:30 in where people are standing around talking is like a high school production where the actors forgot their lines. Long dead-air pauses, awkward dialogue that sounds improvised, bad staging/blocking. The racing scene seemed fun, but then it just...ended...?! Why would you not build to a climactic finale of some sort?
Believe me, the ending works so much better here in Hollywood's Studio Tour. Why? Because it's the finale to the Studio Tour and not a stand-alone ride, the story and overall execution just worked out better that way. I don't understand the pauses or the awkward acting and what made the team behind this think that this was ok to leave alone. Were there better takes? Were there worse takes? Did they even care? Probably no. And also here's the major major thing that bugs me about this iteration of the ride: what's the point of the Preshow rooms if you have Dwayne Johnson do the Preshow work right as you leave the station? I'll admit, they're beautifully designed rooms, but come on.
He was, with new dialogue. I think they redubbed him in Hollywood too. I have a theory that it's because the public felt he was too aggressive and people complained about it (or because Universal executives believed that it had to be changed), just because of all the Police-discrimination drama going on in society (namely the Alton Sterling case). I am not big on screen rides but was going to give it some slack if they found ways to improve it. First could have started by having actual cars running on a track something like the Test Track ride system and haveing a mix of props & screens. As many in this comment section have already said this is just a copy & paste of the Hollywood version, I find it pretty sad when people are saying that they enjoyed the queue more than the actual attraction. I will go ride this when I go back in May but I am almost certain this ride for me will fall in my list of rides like Jimmy Fallon ride & Reign Of Kong that are not a must do attraction every time I go to Universal Orlando parks.

Good thing we are getting a new coaster next year then. Already well under construction. All we know is it is a new coaster based around Harry Potter (actual coaster not like Gringotts). Mostly likely themed to the Forbidden Forest. Taking up the MASSIVE section of land that Dragon Challenge was at. I think Universal has heard the feedback and will stop doing screen rides. This uses the SAME ride tech as Kong and got started on construction before Kong even opened. I think the Kong backlash, and now this rides backlash, will hopefully show Universal that we are sick of screen based rides!
Screen based rides aren’t bad as long as hey are done right and as long as the ride permits it. Kong is amazing I think a long with transformers, Spider-Man and the Harry Potter ride that uses a screen. Things such as fast and furious should be a coaster but hey can’t make everything perfect but this ride probably won’t be sticking around for that long

I was thinking of an indoor launched coaster that contained effects of both screens and physical props and having vehicles like Test Track at Epcot but on a coaster track. Not a complete copy and paste of the Hollywood tram ride!
Instead of recreating Furious 6 which was too military-esq for F&F (even though that’s how the franchise is now) they should have made it like Test Track in Disney and recreate the opening race from 2 Fast 2 Furious. That’s what the people actually want.

My actual issue is that the visuals are an exact copy of the Hollywood tram tour's. But pretty cool overall!

It seems like the first few minutes of the ride should have been pre-show 2 instead of the current pre-show with the awkward dialogue for the live actors. The whole thing feels really cheesy and a little cultish. Doesn’t have a repeat rideability factor at all.

Before I comment. Yes we all said it it's a copy and paste. BUT, when I rode King Kong, I HATED the ride due to the movement. As for this one, I'm going to give it a shot and see if the movement feels real. As for the rest of this ride............. you gotta step up your game Universal.

Just wrote it in person a few days ago. As someone who is a fan of the Fast and Furious films, I can't begin to tell you what an awful, LAZY attraction this is. A HUGE missed opportunity to have a F&F be a high speed attraction, a la Test Track. Instead, we have a slow moving bus ride with terrible CGI. A huge letdown, IMO. That's not to day all screens rides are bad. Universal has dome some great rides with them ( Spider-Man and both Harry Potter rides), but something like is incredibly lazy. This is barely acceptable as a segment of the Studio Tour in Hollywood, but as it's own ride? Unacceptable.

Before I comment. Yes we all said it it's a copy and paste. BUT, when I rode King Kong, I HATED the ride due to the movement. As for this one, I'm going to give it a shot and see if the movement feels real. As for the rest of this ride............. you gotta step up your game Universal.

Ben Parker Again, I'm going to give it a shot. You may not know this but I rather experience it than giving an opinion now. I want to keep myself from not saying the ride is good or not when I haven't rode it yet.
Maybe they can cancel this and retrofit it for Jersey Shore the Ride, salvage an old King Kong head, turn it into the Incredible Snooki.
Just wrote it in person a few days ago. As someone who is a fan of the Fast and Furious films, I can't begin to tell you what an awful, LAZY attraction this is. A HUGE missed opportunity to have a F&F be a high speed attraction, a la Test Track. Instead, we have a slow moving bus ride with terrible CGI. A huge letdown, IMO.
That's not to day all screens rides are bad. Universal has dome some great rides with them ( Spider-Man and both Harry Potter rides), but something like is incredibly lazy. This is barely acceptable as a segment of the Studio Tour in Hollywood, but as it's own ride? Unacceptable.
