I had a Ford 4000, very similar except had slightly more wider tyres and the air intake was taller with a clear bowl at the top. It's a simple tractor which is still in service on a sugar cane farm in the Fiji Islands. It's a great tractor.
I find it interesting all the 4000s made in the UK seem to have the 6 lug rear end and most of the ones here in the US have 8 lig rear axles. My brother had an 8 lug tractor. And I have seen many in my area, only ever seen 1 with 6 lugs
I bought a 3000 for $2000 , seems to be a good tractor.... was hard to shift but after a oil change ( motor, trans & hydro) everything is working great

I have almost the exact same tractor - built in Basildon in 1966, exported to the US in 1976, and on our farm since then. Still our primary tractor.
Me too but mine is a 1967
