For me it would be a no for to meany embellishments sing it straight up it's a great song you don't need to go over the top.

damn leann still got it all these yrs later. i saw her in concert back in the 90s. she was one of the first concerts i went to as a teenager at the allentown fairgrounds.

Contestants who aren't up to par choose to sing coaches songs in an attempt to get said judge to turn. They need to put a stop to it because the judge is put in an awkward position and embarrassed, it also gives the contestant false hope.

People search YT for coaches songs for a purpose. The Voice of Australia televised his performance just so the audience could see how the judges reacted and talked about him (in a positive way) afterwards. Compelling performances sell network advertisements.

@@vols4448 contestants on the voice have got through in the past even when nervous, coaches take this into consideration. Its not x factor ,they dont tell them you arent good enough. As you say he searched YT for Leanne Rimes when he knew she was going to be a judge for her most popular body of work, his nerves were so bad because it wasnt a song ingrained in his blood which contestants usually choose to perform, he isnt the only contestant who has chosen this method of audition and for him it didnt work.
