I don't agree with the idea that only innocent people will cooperate in order to help people 'get to the truth'. A lot of criminals (who were later found to be guilty) cooperate in investigations and answer questions even though they are trying cover up what they did. Saying something like 'hey it might be someone in payroll that forged those checks' does not necessarily indicate honestly. Liars often shift the blame on others! The problem with these examples is that there is hindsight bias here. Studying people we know were lying is not much of science.
Imagine everyone watches this video and now we have more complex ways of lying *it would be like a bacteria gaining resistance to antibiotics, chaos in other words*
😉🤨😏 these are all the other asymmetrical facial expressions that I guess you haven't noticed. Funny that there is no contempt emoticon. Maybe that's why people confuse smirking face with contempt. A smirk may be a sense of superiority but it's not as bad as contempt.
Just because you have lied Does not make you a liar.. why do people..? Many lie as vanity like... Who you know.. ✔ what you got... ✔ Where you've have been.. ✔ but There are lies of want & need that has a big difference between the 2 Along With the one of exaggeration witch is both a lie & truth.. Now how can you spot that..? because Not everybody lies the same way & is subject to change with mood & if there's consequence.... By comparing you behaviors to what there doing Go with what you know... & pay attention to variations in tone of voice & mannerisms Then you will start to hear & see acts in human behavior because there are only so many ways One can act in any given situation with emotions affecting the out come....
is it claimed to be a science? lies are difficult to tell & every lie is a contrived narrative to hide a truth, therefore a lie will always have a tell which of course, is only indicative, not conclusive.
@@dyschromotopia I agree there can be cues and clues inadvertently projected by people who at some level feel they are communicating something they don't believe themselves. There are also those who can't distinguish between their personal objectives and objective reality. We all carry personal bias which influences what we perceive as truth or a lie. The concepts of truth and dishonesty are mental constructs which are frequently manipulated. Also. an individuals projected sense of confidence or insecurity can easily be misinterpreted. Thanks!
You should learn how to speak properly! You ain't speaking for only the United States. Part of your speeches are completely not understandable without subtitles for people who are learning English. Then why are you in TED then?

That's because what she's advocating is total nonsense. It's not validated woowoo.
I would prefer to not be in situations where I have to lie. That necessity is humiliating me.

I love the way she mentions "research" and yet fails to cite any credible references.
