Congratz!! nicely done. my Mom being from Minn. we always had casseroles growing up. and one of them was cottage pies...I loved them. pro fat tip, i use to come home from school and put some between 2 slices of bread with ketchup and ate it as a sandwich... YUMMIES...(don't hate me but i use to put ketchup on it while hot as well)
Amazing.. this took me back to growing up as a kid, I was brought up on s/pie with rich Gravy and loads of sliced bread.. proper food 😊. And I'm huge Guinness fan so that Gravy sounded amazing.. But the bread pudding needed custard..😂 Well done big man - great challenge..nailed. 🎉

And I know, under Brian’s watch, you got the same portion. So you never get tired of the comfort food you were raised on? I didn’t think of that, but it makes sense. I wonder how much of my mum’s cooking I could eat before flavor fatigue kicked in? Probably a lot, but not 8lb 😅. Great job battling through the spud sweats and finishing the bread without the assistance of extra gravy and congratulations on the win!! 🎉 Hope you don’t have to fly all the way to England to try another Shepherds or Cottage Pie challenge 😅

And was that a creep cam in the first minute with a GoPro like Brandon does? Lol! Great job, man and do so want to do this one and I think I could do it in less than 45, fo sure!

I make cottage pie all the time using ground beef. Shepherds pie is made the same way but traditionally with lamb.
That's my understanding as well but that's what they called the challenge so that's what I went with.

I traveled to Ireland this summer and the first thing I did when I got back was learn how to make Guinness stew and Guinness gravy. Fantastic stuff.
I would love to go there! We have made cookies and brownies with Guinness. They're amazing as well!
