I hated roundabouts in France as they are everywhere, but now I hate all the intersections with stop signs 😅

European here: roundabouts are highly common in Europe and are an efficient tool but the French are just crazy: they put them everywhere. It's the opposite extreme of North America. That said, stop signs really suck and should remain an exception, when there really *is* no other way.

01:40 Why do you put cyclists amongst vehicle traffic? That is just stupid. There's all that space to build a bicycle lane next to the pedestrian path or just have a path where you can walk or cycle or crawl if you so choose. Nobody is going to walk in North America anyways.
I do have to give props for using the signals correctly, unlike people in actual London (UK). There is no need to indicate "inwards" ever. There are two options for people inside the roundabout. Either they stay on that lane and drive straight or they take an exit. If they're not indicating, they're not taking the exit. Very simple.

People really struggle with roundabouts here. I think it also has to do with how small they are made here in London

No, that is just legal and perfectly acceptable. I won't walk my bicycle, so I'm always in the traffic flow with cars and the drivers just need to suck it up.

In civilized countries, they build a segregated cycle path all around the roundabout: it's best for everyone.

@@yagi3925Most European nations are civilised and cyclists usually go through roundabouts with the rest of the traffic.

@@johnnevada46 No, nations that handle it that way are just barbarians. I’m not Dutch but educate yourself about the so-called Dutch roundabouts. Civilisation is about protecting the weakest ones.

How about pointing out the POS in the F150, license # BW 77325, at 1:20 who broke the law by failing to wait for the pedestrians to reach the other side of the roadway before proceeding through the crosswalk.

It's fitting that I directed, filmed, and produced this video... and your call-out is appreciated because it's something like I'd do on my own channel 😆
We did quite a few takes, but people are unfortunately not great at being patient or safe 🙃

It depends on whether these are considered crossovers, or crosswalks. Drivers must yield the entire road at crossovers, but have a much more vague "yield to pedestrians" at crosswalks.
The video describes them as crosswalks, so arguably the truck didn't do anything wrong if that was the case. My two cents is that these are signed as crossovers ("stop for pedestrians" and indicator triangles) so the truck should have yielded the whole road until the pedestrians were on the sidewalk.
