Everybody kneels . Even the police but they’ll rather do it on a man neck . . That’s besides the point
    IMO tho ..
The kneeling during the anthem was to bring awareness to the unfairness this country allows . And to let the world know that it’s time for readjustments . Love our Country. But we have to take control . We shouldn’t pick sides amongst each other . no matter the color , shape OR size
ITS THE WHOLE HUMANITY VS THE SYSTEM .. atp

      @DREADHEADQTV 3 года назад +1

before anybody says theres different ways to bring awareness .. think about how crazy the kneeling blew up all across the world .. any other tactic wouldve been swept up under the rug .. but to do it on one the biggest influential stages there is (sports & athletes) it counldnt be ignored and kaepernick knew that .. now look .. years later and its still a trending topic

@@DREADHEADQTV I get what you're saying, but look at the flip side of what it's done, ever since this started, " defund the police" hundreds of lives have been lost, and most of those lives have been in the black communities, children dying in the streets and riots destroyed local businesses with more and more innocent people's lives lost.
I don't like all the division since this started, we're going in reverse with no breaks and I've yet to see what's gotten better!! I'm glad to live where for the most part this crap doesn't go on. Can you tell me, exactly what's gotten better? Anything that has had a positive outcome

I relate to Tom's comment of not taking a knee. I know to some it stems from police brutality (whether I agree with that is another story) but it is deeper than that. It is offensive because kneeling during the anthem does not represent police, it prepresents much more. And I can go deep into that. There other ways to show disparities other than disrespecting what this country stands for. 🇺🇸

It's definitely freedom of speech to kneel for the anthem. It's also freedom of speech for people to think it's disrespectful to do kneel. My view is that the people who were kneeling or are still kneeling didn't and don't just say it's because they want to improve the country they said and say their country is trash. They rarely if ever suggest ways to improve things. It's always negative and just like cancel culture they want to go back hundreds of years and judge the country now by what happened in the past.

  • @Suwils

When they took a knee in front of the older veterans at a game was disgusting. Nice way to say thank you. If you haven't fought in the war then have the decency to respect these men that gave you the right to be able to do it. The people can take care of the bad apples in the police. Taking a knee is against the flag and the flag represents the country. There are many other ways to protest. How many times do we have to say atrocities happened. I acknowledge what happened in the past was disgusting but what do I have to say or constantly do to prove I hate it. Anyway I appreciate you sharing the video and your views 'cause for now we are still able to. #HOGFAM

And on their own time and dime. We lowly people who aren't the over paid and spoiled celebrities would be fired if we protested at work on our bosses time and dime. The fawning propaganda machine would have been in attendance to record and broadcast what he wanted to say all he had to do was notify them where and when.

Off rip, thank you for your service!
Now! No disrespect but, the whole taking a knee thing doesn't bother me, what does bother is when you take a knee during our national anthem! I get it, taking a knee is a protest over the injustice that legit victims have endured by some rogue police officers, but if it's so damn important to protest, why doesn't anyone take a knee while... let's say, walking down the street with friends, or at a party, or grocery store?? Better yet, a police station, or a courthouse? Instead they do it at a sporting event during the national anthem when everyone is giving respect to our flag and to our country!! I know why!! It's because the audience isn't big enough, so instead of taking your grievances to the source of the problem, you'd rather do it at a place where nobody understands why you're taking a knee, to them you're just being disrespectful and rightly so!

On the kneeling for the flag, I understand what the purpose was, I just feel like they were trying to bring attention to a real problem but the way they went about it just totally disrespected every soldier that has served those who died and those who are still with us. I dont think that was the intention of the people doing it, but was the intention of the ones who control those athletes, they knew full well what it would do. Protest ALL police (even good ones) by disrespecting the flag that SOLDIERS die to protect. Basically all I am sayin is I fully respect the meaning of it, but I think it should have been done different, kneel when the whistle blows to start the game or some shit, BUT NOT FOR THE FLAG THAT GIVES THEM THE RIGHT TO DO SO. Respect and love brother. #hangovergang 4 ever bitches

Taking a knee during the anthem is like spiting in the holy water in church to protest the Pope. It makes ZERO sense. Its the wrong place. If you want to protest against police brutality im cool with that, that's your right. But do it at the cop shop, not during something that people rever and respect that has literally nothing to do with it. Venue and location matter bro. Thank you for your service all respect. Just a thought.

disrespecting the country should never being done, disrespect the government who causes our issues. taking a knee does nothing, to me it shows outright disrespect. to the country because its done during the anthem. we are the ones who should push the changes that need to be made. we all need to come together to remove those who have been in office that do not want the best interest in our country. Normally those who have been in office for over 10 years and refuse compromise.
as usual, tom puts out a song that sparks conversation. good reaction and discussion, peace out military brother.

why kneel in the first place? there is a thousand other ways to show you are protesting for something important. basically you can support the country while supporting a movement or STANCE on a situation. burning flags also doesnt sound like something a peaceful protest against police brutality would be doing. all it does it create more conflict. there are ways to be strong and stand for what you love and want to protect while also not disrespecting the nation that you live in. its called balance.. that word people like to use... Equality.

I understand why people kneel and the huge issue with the cops. Honesty needs to be an overhaul with more training like our soldiers. There would be a lot less trigger happy cops. Weed out the good ole boy system keeping bad apples working just like the military. My husband and I have had so many conversations about it since he was Infantry. He is officially retired on the 31st! They had to train so much at Campbell and go into hotels and train how to go into buildings over seas. Everything is muscle memory and so many rules while deployed about shooting too. Training more often instead of the few weeks early on would help at least the trigger happy cops. I respect every ones choice to kneel or not. Unless you've been out of the US you honestly don't know how good you have it here. I've heard a lot with my husbands deployments. He has told me about the freedom's little girls and women don't have in Iraq and Afghanistan.
Tom has a lot of friends and fans in the military. So might have bought it or loaned some. He said a few months back he was going to be putting out a song to show love and support to our Troops. So I've been waiting for this. You make a good point about the whole Nightmareica thing. I didn't even think about that and him dropping America.
Glad to see ya back in my feed. I follow you but haven't seen you on my feed in ages. Man you are in Germany?!? So lucky we tried to go before heading to his last duty station Bliss. It wasn't in the cards for us at all. One of his buddies from battle buddies he knew from Campbell and Bliss is stationed there. Seriously jelly. The pictures I've seen from friends it looks so pretty. I hate you haven't been home for Thanksgiving in years but I understand. It is normally such a short holiday so we couldn't leave. When we were at Campbell we were able to be home with my family since I'm from Memphis.

People forget the oath is about the constitution not the flag. It can be hard to separate that in your mind though. the flag is always being associated with our miltary members because it's a well known symbol. But everyone who enlisted swore to uphold the constitution which means even if you don't like how someone is expressing their freedom you are willing to die for their right to do it. Just my opinion. My family is divided on this one half hate anything seen as disrespect to the flag and half feel it's your right.

I think that most don't take a real appreciation for the history and meaning of the Star Spangled Banner. The message is a powerful one. I'd suggest you or anyone check this video that explains it. But I think Tom is just saying whether you are burning the flag in public, kneeling during the anthem, or whatever. They have ruled that as a means of expression. Whatever your reasons are for showing that disrespect in protest, it's allowed, because of our freedoms and men like you that serve to defend them. Thanks for what you do man. Great reaction.
