When you allow your children to see conflict, how do you go about showing the issue has been resolved and unity is restored? I hear from a lot of adults who grew up in 2 parent households that they would see their parents argue, but never saw them make amends… which caused them to have issues in their marriages as adults. This is such a great word and you two are saving families! I thank God for your content 🙏🏾

My husband and I ensure we apologise to ourselves in the presence of our kids as long as the arguments are in their presence. This could be during family prayer time at night or before meal time.

That’s a really great thing to address -- parents going out without their children and how it makes everyone lean on The Lord. I appreciate that.

The part about not wanting to promote the sense that the child is not safe unless they are with parent. Is reaaal good! This attachment can lead to long term effects ability to transition into adulthood.

Thanks for this series! I absolutely agree that not being on the same page in parenting will cause (or expose) the disunity in the marriage, which will destroy the marriage. As a child, I remember discussing the "divide and conquer" strategy with friends. We all knew how to get what we wanted out of each parent. But that strategy backfires in the long-run. May God continue to bless your marriage and family in Jesus' name!

It’s really easy to say though when you have a big family, help and church family. We have had no support whatsoever. I have no parents or family outside of my husband and child. My husbands family lives very spread out and we have had so many issues with finding responsible adults that we TRUST to watch our daughter.

Exactly, everyone don't have a village but if I did have one and felt safe I would have no problem but now a days you can trust your kids around anyone and they only small for do longer so I spend as much time as I can with my boys 🙌🏽

That’s where I was that part too. I couldn’t imagine leaving my children when they are young not because I felt like I needed them but because I know I have a responsibility to protect them and keep them safe. I didn’t have no one around that I could trust or that was willing to keep my children for a prolong period of time. It really was just me and my husband and the kids and we still have fun together.

Brother you and your wife are doing an excellent job! These are the lanes where most people live in and I personally don't think churches talk about it enough. I have always appreciated Dr Tony Evans for constantly talking about the roles of men and women and so forth. This is great! I am subscribed and have already shared!

    James 5:11
Behold, we count them happy which endure. Ye have heard of the patience of Job, and have seen the end of the Lord; that the Lord is very pitiful, and of tender mercy.
