@@robconnole2996 It was the Narrows in Massachusetts. Opened with this also, so powerful live! They really nailed everything, particularly Beautiful Friction.
Always liked all their hit songs, after a little research found out how good they really are. They also have the ability to play live and sound better than the recording version . Awesome dance music never gets old to me. They are tight, with vocals and great listener lyrics.
Okay, they are so much more than Saved by Zero, One thing leads to another, Red Skies etc. They have a ton of songs that should have been hits. Like this one.
Seeing them play this live, post-COVID, was such a joy for me. You felt in the room the celebration of finally being together. These words have extra meaning now: Well this is the best of us And we offer it to you It’s a celebration of all our lives And I hope it gets us through
A lost track from a frankly surprizing album from Chris. Although more commercial, Chris truly went all in with this album, covering a large spectrum of styles. The topics covered are also a step forward into the " modern world ". Rupert Hines really pulled his magic of every song as a producer, making every single track sound interesting and catchy. Very 80s and still very Chris at the same time. The acoustic guitars are not much there (compared to The Getaway album), replaced by lots of keyboard, electric guitars and heavier drums. Quite a surprise but a nice one in the end.
Went to see Tina Turner live in 1989 just to experience the coolness of Jamie West Oram (Laurie Wisefield helped too but Jamie was da shit to me). Great, great band. Almost everything they did was just ûbergreat, IMHO.
got a shirt from goodwill with this album cover on it and looked it up to find this. Super glad I know of this band now!
Just saw them last week and they opened with this, so powerful, what a show!
Lou Cat was it at the Arcada Theatre? Because I saw them there a few months ago and they opened with this! 🙂

Were you in Albuquerque?
A totally brilliant song from a vastly underrated band
They're rated exactly where they belong.

another example of the Fixx' unique sound, a great beat, some great synth and guitar licks, and Cy's haunting vocals.
Thankyou !

You are so, so, so right! In my opinion there is no other band that I want to listen to other then the Fixx

saw them in Massachusetts last Friday, AMAZING, just what we needed. Loved Fastball too.
Saw them in Glenside, PA Oct 29. Felt joy and hope that I haven’t felt in so long!!
Penny from Patrick yesterday?love that song too.
The great percussion from Jeff Scantlebury is also a nice touch.
On top of being good songs, a great deal of what they wrote you can also dance to.
Excellent.
