Na evaluate po kasi si baby ng OT and she said my baby has speech delay just wanna make sure po. Thank you ❤️
Hello Lovely Glaine, In my opinion, walang 100%, kahit gaano kagaling ang therapist, kasi tao pa rin yan, and there will always be room for human error. Having said that, even if an OT doesn't specialize in speech and language, if your baby did not demonstrate certain skills expected sa kaniyang edad, it is likely the OT's suspicion should be considered, kasi they also know the typical milestones in child development. You will need to have a Speech and Language assessment with a Speech Therapist (if the OT says the child is ready for it). You only need to consult with a Dev Ped if there are other areas na delayed din yung bata, aside from Speech and Language (like motor skills, or if may napapansin na atypical behaviors). Otherwise, pwedeng simulan na agad ang therapy para matulungan na ang bata. Let me know if you need a referral for a therapist! ✨
@@TeacherKayeTalks Thank you teacher kaye for answering. The OT evaluation is my daughter have speech delay. So pinag theraphy namin ang baby namin. Kaso Occupational therapist ang nagtuturo sakanya is that right? Or I should consider bringing my daughter to a Developmental pedia so that she can have an accurate therapist in her case. My first concern is communication sa baby ko and also eye contact other than that wala na. Again thank you for noticing my concern it really help ❤️❤️❤️

@@lovelyglainelumandas6770 Sa ngayon, the OT can see na may Speech Delay, but it's possible na hindi ka pa niya ni-rerefer sa SLP/Speech Therapist kasi baka hindi pa handa ang kanyang work behaviors. Did you watch this video? OT Cesar explains why sometimes we need to start with an OT in some cases. Also, I can't answer if you absolutely need to see a Dev Ped, because I don't have enough details about your child. That's why I said if there are other areas that concern you, you may see a Dev Ped, but you don't need to see a Dev Ped just to get a referral for a Speech Therapist. You can see a speech therapist directly, they will assess the child, and start therapy based on their assessment. Ayaw ko kasing sagutin ka nang "Yes, see a Dev Ped," because I know it's not cheap, and I will not recommend it to you lightly unless I absolutely see it necessary. I also don't know how old your child is, so di ko masabi how concerning the lack of communication is. Regarding problems with eye contact, hope some of the tips in this video help: Respond to Name / Eye Contact ruclips.net/video/o7o7YKGW3ho/видео.html If the child has screen/gadget exposure, stop for an experimental period of at least 2 weeks, and observe for changes or improvement in behavior. No matter how short the time spent watching, no matter the content (whether we think it’s educational or not), if a child is already delayed or showing atypical behaviors, best to remove the factors that could be contributing to it.
