WHO IS BERT AND WHAT EVENT WAS THIS PLEASE AS YOU FAIL TO ILLUCIDATE AND VIEWERS ARE NOT MIND READERS !!!!. THANKS FROM PETER BEDRIDDEN AS I LOST BOTH LOWER LEGS AS I AM AN INDIRECT 2ND WAR CASUALTY.
"Bert's Hong Konger" was the name of the event, organized by Leyland Olympians Group. It was advertised on their blog, but no longer shown on the site (understandably): leylandolympians.blogspot.com/p/previous-trips.html Sorry that I did not make it clear. 4 Leyland Olympians were hired from Herberts Travel which is based in Bedford. Originally all 4 would be 3-axle Olympians used in Hong Kong, but one of them had some mechanical issues and was replaced by B746GCN (which then failed to start in the middle of the trip and was duplicated by a Volvo Olympian S764SVU). The 3 ex-Hong Kong buses were J559MJL, L736SNO and JSK492, all new to Citybus in Hong Kong.
Thanks for your sharing
