  • Today we discuss the recent controversy over Mark Driscoll's public rebuke of a stripper's performance during the opening of the Stronger Men's Conference. Magala took off his shirt, ascended a pole, and swallowed a sword at the event, which was organized by James River Church in Missouri. Was Driscoll out of line? Plus, Ben Affleck and Jennifer Garner's daughter recently came out as transgender - we go through some other children of celebrities who have also become LGBTQ+. And recent maulings by Pitbulls beg the question: should the breed be banned?

He didn't apologize for calling out that pole routine if you listen closely. He apologized for not going to John first. But he text John and his sons when he got home and told them he stands by what he said about that performance, but he won't say another word publicly about it. So John Lindell used their Wednesday night service to drag Mark Driscoll and his "error" and bring up his past to further discredit him. He made a public plea for Mark to repent publicly for everything he did and said.

The act was done publicly. Therefore, I have no problem with him addressing it publicly. The bigger question is not only why would this Church do such a thing, but why a male stripper during a men's conference? 🤔 And I don't believe for one minute it's because a male is more acceptable than a female stripper. There's an agenda to push if money/fame is to be gained!

First of all, the guy wasn't performing a strip tease. I have seen his work on America's Got Talent, Britain's Got Talent. It looked like the same performance he did on those shows. Did the guy need to take off his shirt? No, absolutely not. However, let's not be ignorant here about this performance. Alexandr Magala did some things on that pole that was all circus art. HE DID IT WHILE SWALLOWING A KATANA. A Katana is a curved samurai sword. The sharpest blade in history. The way they tested the sharpness of it was one of two ways. Either cutting through silk with no fringe, or cutting cleanly through a corpse. Magala climbs up the pole and flies down it, inches from the pommel hitting the floor and killing him. Listen, I have photographed and shot circus arts before. This is nothing more than a performance. If this is strip tease then why were his pants on the whole time?

@@brentclark8276 he took off his shirt, sauntered around the pole, and stoked it before climbing it. People who have seen a striptease know what the beginning of one looks like. It may not have been the goal, but it was a disturbingly strip-adjacent performance at the beginning. And honestly… I don’t know what circuses you are photographing, but I’ve NEVER seen aerialists or clowns take off their clothes and begin pole dancing in the circus outside of vegas performances, and we all know those are basically overly sexualized performances too.

There were other personal trainers and co workers at the time who were strippers. I never been to a strip club before at all. What they were describing is a far cry from what this is.

The reason he should not have spoken to the conference Pastor first is bc it was a public sin by a Pastor and needed a public rebuke in front of all of the people who witnessed it. Look at Paul's public rebuke of Peter..."in front of them all". A pastor is held to a higher standard than a brother in Christ as Matthew says. If he has talked to him before hand it would have only been swept under the rug. And all those men who witnessed it would have left there none the wiser that this was a wicked choice. Him speaking up, boldly and publicly was correct. Imagine if non-believers were in the audience as I am sure there were and nothing was said. They would have walked away. Listen to the conversation that was had when they came back on stage about how Lindell condemn Mark for calling him out at all and compares it to the sin of loosing faith to call out someone "anoited by God". Absolutely disgusting. Bc of the public rebuke those men will think about it and take it to God themselves and seek wisdom and they will think in the future. I mean, come on, you walk into church and there's an 80 foot stripper pole- I'm out if that's the case. These progressive churches keep trying to up the baseline of what is acceptable and I believe Mark was listening to the Holy Spirit when he called him out. Lindell's a false prophet leading his flock into darkness. I had to do the same thing with my local United Methodist Church that I had attended for 40 years. Had to walk away bc of the actions of the Pastor and how he was leading the church against God's word. These are hard times for weak believers.

Over the course of an hour the lady told me her pits had a history of killing their pet cats, so they can't have cats anymore. They would kill other dogs if they got out, so to make sure they don't escape. They aren't good with men and have been known to corner workmen, but my husband should be fine.

Matthew 18 is sin between two individuals but public sin in a public setting equals public rebuke, hence Galatians 2. In situations like this Matthew 18 is simply used to obfuscate, virtue signal, and or self-righteously condemn others when it really should be the speaker being condemned for their actions.

To be clear, I don’t think women should stay in physically abusive marriages. Not at all. But many times what I hear from kids is anger at the mom for not leaving instead of at the dad who abused and terrorized his entire family. It’s hard for women when they are abused because we are physically and spiritually weaker. The natural order is God over man, man over woman, and woman over child. It’s not “woman over man to protect child from man” a little compassion for abused women from their own kids would be nice.

I hadn’t heard of either one of these so called pastors until this happened. And I don’t want to know anything more about them either!
I don’t care if he had on an overcoat or whatever, to me, it’s not about him taking off his shirt. They had boxing there too and they didn’t have on shirts. This is disgusting behavior to have any of this at a men’s conference. It wasn’t a guy’s night out on the town! The title was a Men’s Stronger Conference, this just shows weak men who want to just play games and be entertained with the flesh and not of the Spirit! And don’t forget to talk about how Pastor Mark Driscoll went back and APOLOGIZED for saying what he did!! He was so concerned about how he hurt other men there with what he said But he wasn’t concerned about hurting My Lord And Savior Jesus Christ by taking back what he said to rebuke this “entertainment!!” So to me, Mark Driscoll just went back to the mud and started wallowing with the pigs!! I don’t care what others say about me but I will stand for my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who died for all the sins of the world, even for everything they did at that conference! Yes I’m mad! The Lord says we have a right to be mad at times. Be ye angry and sin not!! Ephesians 4:26. King James Version. 26 Be ye angry, and sin not: let not the sun go down upon your wrath. 30 And grieve not the holy Spirit of God, whereby ye are sealed unto the day of redemption. I think with all my heart that this has grieved the Holy Spirit!!
They had monster trucks and boxing too. Maybe even more‘entertainment’ than what I’ve seen.
It was disrespectful to The Word Of God And to The Holy Spirit!!
If they wanted to call it, The James River Men’s Night Out, I might have a different response.
But for this being a Church’s Men’s Conference, they are supposed to be representing the Lord Jesus and not playing with the devil. What about this was to make men stronger??
Maybe in the flesh but Not in the Spirit!!

We owned 3 American bulldogs which gets classified under pit bulls. From our experience with them and what we've learned from a local dog rescue facility the aggression and dangerous behavior stem from training, raising and breeding. It's not the original intentions from some breeders of some pit bull breeds (there are several breeds in this classification) but current breeding practices. Sometimes dogs are still bred for illegal dogfighting. But also overbreeding causes physical and behavioral issues. Our bullies were deaf and had other health issues. Puppy mills are a major concern but also that nice family down the street that breeds and sells puppies as a side business. When I was younger dobermans and rottweilers were the dangerous dogs. When I was 10, a German Shepherd bit me. I didn't know he was there and he was surprised to see me. When my kids were teens dobermans in our neighborhood were quite scary. Turned out the dogs were guarding what the police called a crack house. My dalmatian would aggressively protect me while I napped, even to bite. My point is it's not the dog breed, it's the dog breeding. And any dog may ferociously protect their human even from that human's family. There needs to be regulations enforced about breeding and owning pets. Be very careful where you get your pets and take care of them. If a dog is dangerous it should be put down - regardless of the breed.

"The Blessing" was the Christian anthem of the pandemic in 2020. I do agree that Pastor Stephen needs to readdress his wardrobe choice though. Mike Todd is a gifted pastor but l pray for him to have revelation and leave that mindset of "entertainment" church and flashy dressing. God bless you all from Germany.❤

IF this was a stunt that Mark was pulling, then there is NO WAY he would have backtracked. All the credibility he gained by calling out that vile desecration, went out the window when he apologized and then went on stage as they kissed each other's feet.
But that shows the power of that Jezebel Spirit. He's one of the FEW that has the stones to call it out, but he does it within HIS church. He went into a church that's submitted to Jezebel, so it's a much stronger force, and like Elijah, he crumbled. That's no condemnation on his part. People who haven't gone toe to toe with it, have NO IDEA just how powerful it is.
Elijah is without question THE quintessential prophet of the Old Testament and after he had his victorious face-off with Jezebel's prophets, all it took was a decree from her to get him running for the hills and despairing of life, even desiring to die. That story STUNS a lot of people. They just can't figure out how he could POSSIBLY do that. Instead of realizing it's a clear sign of just how dangerous and overwhelming that spirit can be, they just mock him, as if ANYONE could hold a candle to Elijah.
