My sister and I loved this vid and gained so much respect for Clint and the equipment staff after seeing it. A year later at our first Hawks convention, we ran into him and asked him for a pic. I told him that we were his biggest fans, to which he said "you guys should probably find somebody else."
While he might have downplayed the importance of the work he did for the team, he was the most unheralded of the behind the scenes staff for the Blackhawks. So deserving of having his name on the cup forever.
Rest in peace, Clint. Here's hoping the boys can get the cup back for you in June.
How did he die
Kevin O`Haire He hung himself according to the coroner on Jan 6th. Sad. 34, wife and 4 kids. RIP Clint.
TedLillyfan15 THey are well on their way to getting it done.
The players might be the stars of a sports team but it's the folks behind the scenes that keep the organization up and running and without the long hours and hard work they put in, it would make things a lot more difficult.
Kudos to them for holding things together. Behind the scenes clips like these give people a unique insight into what they do and just how important they really are to a club....
Aww RIP Clint! The whole Hawks family misses you already. We won for you last night and hopefully we can win the cup again for you this season.
It's tradition to come back to this video.
To see that the heroes of a hockey team aren't just the ones who skate on the ice.
May you rest in peace Clint 🖤♥️
The lowly paid unsung heros who stand behind and work tirelessly for the pampered $10 million dollar players, not only for Chicago but any NHL team. You cant say enough about these guys. Thumbs up and props!
RIP Clint!! Our prayers from the Avalanche family is with you. Your a amazing person and you will be missed!! #lovehockey
I had NO IDEA how much these people go through every game , so much respect goes out to them .
This is so cool to see all the behind the scenes stuff. i didnt know these guys worked so hard like this. I hope they get some mad recognition for all the work they do for every game. Respect!
wow, really cool. very insightful to see what goes on between games and periods.
I'm a hockey fan is why I watch it!
I'll admit...I'm a Red Wings fan. But this video is a great watch! Thanks for posting.
R.I.P. Clint, to do the job that he did at sich a good high standard takes a lot of time end effort and concentration. I give Clint a tremendous amount of respect. R.I.P.
I'm not a Hawks fan either, but I like to see what happens behind the game.
R.I.P Clint

Rest in Peace.
At first it seems like a great job seeing how he works with and around nhl superstars and players but then again... soo much work. But hey, as long as you enjoy your job and hard work can seem like a walk in the park.

@bukakee1 a lot of the equipment mgr's today actually have college degrees in sports mgt,and get their foot in the door through intenships..I know 2 guys who work for the PGH Pirates one runs the visitor clubhouse(orders things for away team,in charge of batboys, laundry etc..) he makes a definite 6 figures, the other is asst equip mgr for the bucs..The perks are insane.I would imagine working for an NHL organization is pretty sweet no matter what you're doing.
RIP Clint !! Sad to hear his passing
these people work like hell
i've seen a vid were some of these new arena's actually have apartment's in the building for some of these guy's because they are almost there 24/7 and the work for the other pro team's in the building most of the time
yeah kind of anti-fog it also wash/clean the visors

Love it
As you can tell by my user name
The TNG just stands for the next generation
I want this job.
Sweet, thanks for the video, that was actually pretty interesting! :) Does Chicago have any rituals?
Actually their base salary is probably quite a modest, average salary that probably increases with years of experience and seniority. The real money they make is when they get "appreciation tips" or gifts at the end of the season from various millionaire players...
Rip Clint
@bukakee1 Ast Equipment Managers probably 65k-85k..However,they also get tipped out at the end of the year by the players. That's what happens in baseball,I'm guessing hockey is the same.In baseball each player has to pay clubhouse dues. This goes toward drinks,food,etc...
@Pettie55 Yeah, Thank you very much!
woah. clint kinda looks like a tinier ryan gosling! weeeird.
@IrelandSpud08 that's a good question IDK
Hossa would forget his belt at the olympics LOL
Go Hawks, squish the fish!!
RIP Buddy
rip clint
I just happened to click on this video and after watching it came to comment that this has to be one of the most stressful jobs out there. All the shit you have to get just right for everyone and not wanting to mess up. Then I read that this man hung himself. I seriously hope it was not related to work. How sad. Hope the Hawks win it for him this month. RIP buddy.
David Merrell One thing for certain is the boys will probably always make sure his wife and kids are taken care of since he spent many years taking care of them.
+David Merrell Wait, this guy Clint in this video committed suicide by hanging himself?
Michael Schneider that is correct

I think he was killed by Courtney Love
@bukakee1 i think the lowest income a player can make it like 300 grand a year. i could be wrong though.
Why did Clint die ?
